2.05 Ascot - How is Timeless Melody 9/4 running off 80?? ? given the form. I'm doubling down on this. Granted I've had few glasses of red wine....

2.40 Ascot - No idea where the best place is to be drawn. Typically I go high draw and find the most unexposed horse I can but couldn't find one. Went with Safe Voyage 14/1, Tylos 25/1 and Spycatcher 12/1

3.45 Ascot - Dasho Lennie 11/2

Haydock 1.35 - Looked at cards without the price and expected Thanksforthehelp 7/2 to be an ew price. Hmmmm... Tiger Jet is interesting but sod it stick with the short price fave

 Couple winners and a place yesterday.

Chester 1.30 - Yesterday was a reminder of why backing Stall 1 in 5f races, almost blindly, is worthwhile. Night On Earth 7/1ew is actually chucked in on best form. C&D winner, but the ground is a bit of an unknown.

Chester 2.05 - Thetheoryofeverything 7/2 has 100 horses all around it in the Greenham on only 2nd race an is running off 94 today

Chester 3.15 - Changingoftheguard 6/4

Chester 4.55 - Burglars Dream 12/1ew is interesting if stays. Potentially well handicapped off the run behind Desert Hero.

 My accounts don't reflect the winners. Looks like have been squeezing away profits blindly backing other people's tips. Hmm.

Backed some at Chester yesterday. Here they are:

1.30 Chester - Ziggy's Pheonix 5/2. Front runner, drawn 1 with Moore onboard. If it's good enough it will win.

2.05 Chester - Squealer 13/2ew. I didn't think about the ground when backed this, but it's a step down in grade. Ground may be an issue. From stall 1 Marquand needs to make all like the horse did at Beverley.

2.40 Chester - Savethelastdance 8/13. Moore going to have a great day :)

3.45 Chester - Royal Dress 7/2. Chucked in. Good draw. Moore again.

4.55 Chester - Broken Spear 5/1ew. This has drifted now to 7s. I'm sure if I looked at the cards for the first time this morning I'd back Paws For Thought 4/1

4.35 Ayr - Tellus 15/8 well handicapped on handicap debut. A few horses substantiate this.

4.40 Windsor - Confederation 6/1ew. Romped on turf back in June and well handicapped on that run alone. Looked unlucky not to win at Kempton.

18/1, 7/4, 5/2, 9/2, 8/1, 6/4 winners with 16/1, 10/1 and 6/1ews placed. 1 NR and only 4 bets with no return. Decent, but not one acca landed! How!?

Today I'm not seeing anything too far away from the top of the market which is of course annoying, but hey.

1.15 Newmarket - Trappy race with a small field. Adayar is fully exposed now (surely). Anmaat carries a 5lb penalty. Francesco Clemente 5/1 worth a pop. Casually won a handicap by 9lenghts. Beat Secret State who by 2 lengths who is now a 111 horse. Course form. Frankie.

1.50 Newmarket - Don't like this race. Keeping it simple. Firstman 13/2ew ran between a set of 105 and 93 horses last flat race and running of 88 today. Buick booked. 

3.00 Newmarket - Another trappy one. Life in Motion 3/1. Really tried to find something to take it on, but struggling due to ground and class.

3.40 Newmarket - Already have Tahiyra 7/2 AP and Remarquee 20/1 AP. 

4.15 Newmarket - Another Burke monster? Kylian 7/4

4.50 Newmarket - Kadavor 4/1 is chucked in. Hey Lyla confirmed the mark next time out.

5.25 Newmarket - Followed Lion of War 4/1 off a cliff last year. Let's go one more time.

3.25 Leo - Trying to buck trends by removing AOB as the winner of this race. Proud and Regal 7/4 is already a G1 winner and near enough a stone better than anything else.

Bets 06.05.2023

Okay day yesterday. Few more lessons learned. If only could remember them all. 

1.20 Goodwood - Same problem as the 3.45 as Queally poor record at the track. Backed Novus 18/1ew and was hammered in the market but a lot of Moore’s horses are. Let’s see as well handicapped

3.05 Goodwood - Honiton formlines are joyous. Close behind My Prospero, Secret State and Eldar Eldarov. Been off for a while and gelded so even though on best form nothing comes close here will put into an acca only. Magalak not sure massively well handicapped. Going with Stay Well 6/1ew. A seasoned C2 handicapper who was been running is good enough race.

3.45 Goodwood - I have a problem again because Queally is 0-33 at the track but Mark of Gold 7/4 is surely miles ahead of anything in this race? Motazzen opened at 20/1 but shiftly chopped to 8/1. Ran today and I'm not keen on horses who do this.

4.20 Goodwood - Sera Dawn 7/2 is still well handicapped. Beat two 80s rated horses few races back so still some in the tank

1.40 Newmarket - I remember backing Teumessias Fox 5/2 50/1ew at Royal Ascot King George Stakes. Finished 2 lengths behind Secret State; gutted. Then followed it off a cliff. Deleted from tracker. Returns this season and bolts ups by 4l. I'm sure is capable of more now gelded.

2.15 Newmarket - Was orginally tossing up the two Boughey horses, but Azure Blue 9/2 has an impeccable course record. Blew the start last time and still won very cosily. Hopefully a sprinter going places. Spring Feeling is the unknown quantity for me and could also keep progressing. Put a 0.25 stake at 11/1 

2.50 Newmarket - Buick and Hills are both in amazing form so Tanamawwy jumps right out but is 6/1, hmm. I much prefer Saint Laurence 20/1ew and Strike Red 16/1ew at the prices. 

3.25 Newmarket - I've been following Bopedro for a while and when it romped not only was I chuffed as got my cliff money back and some, but because Empirestateofmind 10/1ew went straight into the tracker. I see this as a strong formline and clearly likes the course. For some weird reason even before this race Alicia Keys was stuck in my head. Gotta be a sign right? ;)

4.00 Newmarket - Can't pick between Twinlight Calls and Maccanan. Areciabo could be a decent play for a place, but I'm walking away from it.

4.40 Newmarket - I'm already on Auguste Rodin 5/1 AP and Chaldean 8/1 AP. Enough. Not bothered looking at the race further but now I always fear what ammo Burke has....

5.15 Newmarket - Washington Heights 10/1ew. Poor draw last time, didn't do much, but hopefully that's blown away any dust. From 2yr old days has the best form (Cold Case) and looks well handicapped based on all 3 of nh races over 6f. Hope has a solid chance.

5.55 Doncaster - Elite Status 6/4. When a Burke horse gets backed like this you follow blind

7.25 Doncaster - Aqwaam 6/1ew. Williams in good form. Aqwaam back to winning mark, good chance.
