Bets 26/09/2014

I always struggle at Newmarket. I don't know why....

Tom Pricewise Segal from the Racingpost has tipped two today:
2.10 Newmarket - Jordan Princess 13/2
3.15 Newmarket - Wannabe Yours 11/2

Looks a tough day....

1.40 Newmarket - Belle D'Or is one of those I knew I should have backed last time and I'll probably regret  not backing again. I thought was quite lucky in the end to win last race. Provenance looks decent too and both will no doubt improve further. I still feel though you should always go with the proven class sometimes and so Zibelina 8/1 gets my vote. Top rated and didn't get any light or the pace she needed or the ground so it all may click today!

2.10 Newmarket - The top of the market is pretty much spot on. Queen of Ice is the best horse, but carries a penalty. Criteria is the next best ion Ascot form but poor Newmarket run puts me off. My Spirit's form does not fully add up. Jordan Princess 6/1 ran to 93 RPR at this course on her 3rd race. Really impressive last time with step up in trip last time. Watch the race. It's phenomenal. If she can produce speed like that again will be very exciting.

2.40 Newmarket - Lucida 6/4 has been backed all week for the 1000G. Even more money today. The form is solid and let's hope lands this

3.15 Newmarket - Captain Cat looks really decent against average horses. He may well be Group 1. A horse who is Group 1, in fact a Breeders Turf winner is Outstrip 8/1. Can't believe a the top rated horse and the only G1 winner in this race is 8/1. Something must be wrong with him? After Mr. Balding's death would be amazing if Tullius 6/1 could win and does have a chance and using Toronado as a marker that stacks up against Outstrip. Tempting tricast.

3.45 Newmarket - Surely just a formality for Windshear 13/8 if not damaged by Leger

4.25 Newmarket - 2yr NH Newmarket defaults to SBS. He runs Yamllik 13/2 who has only G1 entry in field.

5.00 Newmarket - If Munaaser 8/1 is drawn on the right side, and is in same form as two races ago has a big chance. I always try to find a gem in races like this an it might be Eurystheus 20/1. Based on last race in a class 3 is about 5lb ahead of mark and also gets a 5lb claim so be interesting. Another is Lacan 12/1. Look at the form with Wannabe Yours, although the rematch with GM Hopkins means GMH ought to win. Hmmm. Tough race.
