A lot of caution this weekend. Ground could be a bog and I hate bog betting.
1.20 - Sweet William 10/1ew & Trawlerman 6/1
1.55 - Not sure what will happen with draw. Think pace maybe more lower and historically lower draw on soft does better here. Still gutted about Kind of Blue in the sprint stakes. Would have been some payday. I have this Kind of Blue 20/1 AP, but today I prefer James Delight 12/1ew. Moore/Cox combo is decent. Horse is still improving and should have beaten Spycatcher lto (fluffed start)
2.35 - I want a 3 year old that is still improving and is a proven stayer.
Content, Kalpana and Grateful are the highest rated 3year olds and with their allowance in effect are top rated. Content ran too poorly to be true last time out and Study of Man (Kalpana mare), doesn't have the best G1 record and offspring yet to win at Ascot so at 3/1 that's a big risk especially as not proven on soft.
Grateful improved maybe half a stone last time out running on soft for the first time over a distance longer than today and would have romped with a clear run. Is bred beautifully and for sure still improving. For me 18/1ew Grateful is a decent ew.
Thought Wingspan could improve further up in trip but Grateful has already proven it.
Smaller play on Content 6/1 as is the best horse in the race.
3.15 - Henry Longfellow 8/1ew. Solid form at Ascot and on soft. Top rated at the weights.
4.35 - I backed Bopedra 12/1ew and Mr Professor 16/1ew, but State Actor 8s, Mexicali Rose 28s all tick my lists
Added Trawlerman and ended up backing couple more on exchamge in Balmoral.
