I've not had a whitewash in a long time, but burned £1k yesterday. Painful. Back end of season always gets me. Will rethink today....as faves getting turned over all over the place.

3.10 Newmarket - Min Alemarat 20/1, Stechworth 20/1
3.30 York - Rene Mathis 28/1
2.50 Newmarket - Jonny Delta 40/1


York 1.50 - Lily Rules 12/1 has been punching above her weight but now drops into a Class 2 handicap. With the form she put up a York, the 7lb claim and a trainer who has banged in a 14/1 and 11/1 this week have to be on.

York 2.20 - First Flight 4/1 looks a decent bet on form and Balty Boys 16/1 might be a sneaky punt based on form behind Captain Cat, but not sure likes York...

York 3.30 - Aetna 7/2 has won me tons this season and am tempted to put that all in here. For me te danger is Highland Colori who won the Ayr Gold Cup last time was in a handicap of 104. on 103 today, but still think Aetna has more in hand.

York 4.45 - Jim Goldie looks like he up to one. Caledonia 16/1 was ridden conservatively last time. He ran very well at Muss'b coming from last to first. Might see something similar today...

York 5.20 - After Old Town Boys win yesterday Ultimate Act 25/1 is interesting


Newmarket 2.05 - Bartholomew Fair 9/1 - Varian thinks a lot of this one.

Newmarket 2.40 - Talmada 10/1 has best form behind Braclet on show

Newmarket 3.10 - If Top Tug 10/1 is fit will bolt up. I always go back to that Toast of New York form and also look what Cloudscape went on to do.

Newmarket 3.50  - Last years race was a joke. Scatter Dice 66/1 who blew the start by a long way bolted up. No idea where it came from. Communicator 20/1 ran well last time and will be suited by trip up and Rhombus 25/1 who bolted up he over 2m two races ago get my votes

Newmarket 5.40 - I heart old boy Nanton 12/1

6.55 Kempton - Convey 4/5 - One of Stoute's best 2 year olds. Might need the run, but that's the risk you take.

7.55 Kempton - Hmm, Almerzem went up 9lb for a decent C&D win and Clear Mind might not be that well handicapped on debut. Sweetheart Abbey 33/1 e/w has to have a chance if you are able to draw a line through last run on turf. Now back to AW could be a shock?

13.20pm update...Just remembered the low draw bias. Didn't pay any attention to it. Whoooops!!!

Despite the weather racked up over £11k yesterday thanks to a juicy 5 fold; Limato, Muteela, Purple Rock, Dukes Delight and Tinghir. Happy days. Segal landed a 10/1 and 6/1 and I had 5 non runners, so everything worked out well.

Pricewise has gone for:

1.00 Longchamp - Moviesta 14/1, Cotai Glory 12/1
2.45 Longchamp - Lavender Lane 22/1
3.30 Longchamp - Filntshire 22/1
4.40 Longchamp - Fiesolana 10/1


I know very little French form so back to half stakes for Longchamp:

1.00 Longchamp - Just looking for decent C&D winners. I did back Sole Power AP @5/1 but is a hard race. Maarek won this last year but not is same form. I though Catcall 16/1 was going to win last year and he has beaten many of these before so looks big at 16/1

1.35 Longchamp - Found 11/4 is bloody good on the CG form and Ladbrokes going 2/1 says AOB thinks this horse will win. I think Night of the Light 20/1 is biggest danger

2.10 Longchamp - The Wow Signal 2/1 is one of my faves, Gleneagles looks bloody good, but Territories 16/1 might pull it off as well

2.45 Longchamp - Narniyn 10/1 C&D winner and will outrun price on paper

3.30 Longchamp - I backed 3 horses AP for this. Sea The Moon 8/1, Ectot 50/1 and Avenir Certain 18/1. Am gutted about STM, but I still like my other two picks. I think Segal is right to back Flintshire but my STM replacement is Harp Star 9/1. Very good horse

4.50 Longchamp - Karakontie 6/1

5.20 Longchamp - Bathyrhon 6/1 beat most of these before

I was looking forward to making big bucks today. Once again, very annoyingly it is raining all over the country. With no idea what it will do to the ground, all bets are more risky. Part of me says don’t even bother betting because looking back at my blogs where it’s starts raining on Saturdays theres little to be happy about. GRRRRR…

Ascot 2.05 – Muthmir 6/4 is the best horse in the race. If it rains to much will scupper him.

Ascot 2.40 – Never realised there was a southern hempshpher filly allowance! That makes Energia Fribby interesting, but I fancy 2012 Leger winner Encke 11/8 today

Ascot 3.50 – American Hope 8/1 good chance on Ascot form, but again rain could end chances

Ascot 4.25 – Queen Catrine 9/2 only because has Ascot form else Al Thakhira is decent

Ascot - 5.00 – Iffranesia 20/1 good e/w shout on Ascot form and was badly ridden last race

Newmarket 1.50 – Very Special is well touted but Osaila is the clear proven class. Not sure will bet

Newmarket 2.55 – Yodelling would have been a banker but bloody rain forecast so not sure as Local Time is also decent

Newmarket 4.40 – I’ve followed a few good formlines this season and hopefully this one is still all good; Penny Drops 6/1 (Eastern Impact, Fast Track), but Minalisa 2/1 does also look s strong favourite

Newmarket 5.15 – Kinshasa 11/2 unlucky last time
