Navan 1.45 – I’m
a big Voler La Vedette 4/6 fan. Goes well fresh which is a bonus.
Navan 2.50 – I am
going to be brave with this one. Flemstar has lost the last 2 times back from the
break and so might be a good chance to oppose. Cracker should have no chance.
Big Zeb has won this for the last 3 years, but his last 3 races were fairly disappointing
and he could finally be too old for this game, although we know the old boys
don’t always capitulate; Kauto. Realt Dubh looks a solid proposition but he is
being lined up for the John Durkan and at the odds the one to be on for me has
to be Foildubh. The clue is in the name of the horse. Foil Dubh. Ha. Hidden
Cyclone was on my shortlist last year as one to keep an eye on and based on his
form with Sir Des Champs, Foildubh 10/1 looks a big price at the weights.
Ffos Las 3.05 – Tenby
Jewel 16/1 is weighted to reverse the placings with Wayward Glance and the flat
stretch after the final flight is far shorter here than it was the day her got
outpaced towards the end last time he face Wayward. Stow has been smashed in the betting, and if you look
at the form you can see why. If I got hold of the initial 16/1 I would have
taken it, but has a terrible record fresh so will stick with Tenby.
