Intrinsic and Online Alexander rounded off a very glorious Goodwood for me. The key lesson for me was this festival is very similar to the Cheltenham festival in that horses who ran well in previous Goodwood festivals do so again. Happened all week and yesterday Ninjago and Flying Bear did again. Always knew course form was important and again that showed all week too. Think I pocketed close to £8k this week....
Chester 2.30 - Tick The Boxes 2/1 has decent form. I would have backed Roudee but Damscombe's horses look dead at the moment.
Chester 3.05 - Boomerang Bob 11/2 although Intranegent 12/1 might pop a suprise.
Newbury 3.15 - Power Play 5/2 big step down in class and should win
Chester 3.40 - Apostle 11/2 solid course runner and good draw.
Newbury 3.50 - Silk Sari finished close to Sultania at Haydock but then a lot further behind her in next race in same conditions, which might suggest slowing of progress. Cumani also rides Khione which is interesting as I can't see any speed in this race so if Khoine goes to the front and keeps the pace slow it may well suit Silk Sari. Either way I'm going to go with the progressive Wonderstruck 9/4 who has decent form and gets a decent 3yr old allowance. Lady Tyne 16/1 might surprise a few too.
Chester 4.45 - English Summer 7/4 - C&D winner and looks worthy favourite.
Newbury 4.55 - If you got back to Ascot form Bright Cecily 11/2 looks well handicapped.
