Bets 05/09/2026

Ascot 1.40 - Can see why Thunder Call is fave. At the price, given 3year olds are 1-29 and not yet a distance winner like the last 10 winners, maybe worth taking on. Cox is not really firing so okay to push aside Addison Grey. Two Tribes ran a blinder behind Amazing Journey over C&D before having nothing right at Goodwood and easy to ignore a Shergar Cup run. Glenfinnan tough with step up in class and the Fingal Raven is ahead of Silver Ghost on form. In fact the Fingal Raven, as long as ground stays good is huge at 40/1. Could easily have won a big handicap at Glourious Goodwood and think ground too slow lto.

The Fingal Raven 40/1ew

Two Tribes 11/2 ew

Ascot 4.35 - Slight risk as first run back in while but for me has the best creds for this race. The formlines are decent and ran pretty well over C&D in the Coventry considering antics on the day.

American Gulf 11/1ew

Ascot 5.10 - Underwriter should have won the Whispering Angel at Ascot over C&D against older horses. Chance to redeem self in a harder race but at the prices is very good value.

Underwriter 25/1ew

---

Haydock 1.25 - Hankelow 11/2ew - Best on numbers on this ground. Third in French Guineas on very soft and not had ground since. Dancing Gemini best overall, but given Burke won this last two years supporting the hatrick.

Haydock 2.30 - Lopeo 10/1ew arguable best career run at Goodwood on heavy. Back on heavy. Distance a question mark, but at 10s I play.

Haydock 3.40 - Kind of Blue 4/1

Bets 29/08/2026

2.00 Goodwood - Was going to lean towards Rhosolyn as is clear on numbers, but not convinced ground will be soft enough. I thought I was unlucky not to place with Darkness lto at 40/1 who was flying home. I backed him earlier in the week at 14/1 but now the draw is out I'm not okay. I couldn't get the draw right at Glorious Goodwood but it's tough to back Darkness from 15, even if has a solid chance.

Ghost Mode looks to have a very good chance but would want an ew price.

Taking a chance with Pelitory. Beat a decent handicapper in Crimson Spirit lto. I always looking to back an O'Meara horse in this and I assume Tudhope had the choice of 3 and meet all the race trends I look for.

Pelitory 22/1ew

2.35 Goodwood - High Degree looks the likely winner here, but with Haggas's last winner was 17 races ago, at 2/1 I couldn't play it. Oneforthegutter is best on numbers. Ragthar is interesting too, but Tony Montana is where I go. Did well from a wide draw, best of those held up, plenty of traffic issues but still got very close to Al'Ali and on collateral form could argue is therefore better handicapped than High Degree. Trainer in very good form atm also.

Tony Montana 5/1ew

4.15 Curragh - Lourhea meets all the trends, and Engines On will try to make all.

Lourhea 7/1ew

Engines On 50/1ew

6.00 Windsor - Assuming is fit and ground slowish White Birch clear in numbers

White Birch 6/1ew

Bets 20/08/2026

Air Force annoyingly won and annoying missed the price on Henley on Thames at 10s else was backing that. Not sure why I forgot I'd backed Item at 25s antepost and didn't put it up. Anyhow, rain could cause carnage, but let's go.

1.50 - Simmering Sun meets all the trends I want in this and price looks too big when looking at collateral form with likes of Wild Blossom

Simmering Sun 22/1ew

2.25 - Thought really hard about taking on Sun Goddess, but not sure the rain, the draw and a 7lb penalty will stop the win as is so far ahead of mark. Thought about Cox's horses given his record and also Thebestisyettocome and Innichen.

TBC

3.00 - Looking for an improver here and I like the Ian Williams pair. Wouldn't be surprised if Checkandchallenge ran into a place as it best handicapped in race, but hard to go against the typical winning profile. Blue Brother very interesting also.

TBC

3.35 - Legacy Link's course form counts for a lot. 3 year olds do well in the race and watching the RIbblesdale I'm happy to draw a line through it

Legacy Link 14/1ew

4.10 TBC

4.45 - Assuming will be soft by now and Soldier Of The Sea will benefit as whilst early days Blackbeards seem to like soft. On top of this Gentle Hurricane ran pretty well today and Soldier went close to beating it whilst carrying 7lb more. Holds a G2 entry. Revels formlines look good, but drawn 20, not sure.

Soldier of The Sea 18/1ew

5.20 - Again, assuming is soft Caim will benefit and is ahead of mark.

Caim 14/1ew

Bets 19/08/2026

1.50 York - I backed The Man at 9/1, but the value has gone. It opened at 14/1 but been tipped by 3 major tipsters. I thought 9/1 was just about okay, but because likes to be held up, being drawn low he will see a wall of horses to get through. At 4/1 I can't put it up.

Stratusnine and Toca Madera come from the Stewards Cup and Toca Madera was very unlucky. Has developed into a very quick horse this year and with a low draw and prominent race style has a great chance to make up for the unlucky run lto.

Apollo One is the best handicapped horse on old form but not in form. Air Force One has a chance, but tough race to finally turn up and win.

Toca Madera 7/1ew

2.25 York - Not a handicap but Gentle Hurricane is interesting. Unexposed and Balding has a decent record in this. Was 9/1 yesterday so hoping stable confidence behind it. I don't like that Haffner lost lto so happy to take on

Gentle Hurricane 13/2ew

4.10 - Interesting race this as can see this being a crawl then sprint finish. I don't have access to sectionals (though been meaning to for a while). Seems like Team Player is the fast finisher. Fireblade was interesting.

Team Player 11/1ew

4.45 - I backed Call Margot at 50s on the exchanges with some loose change but not sure this is the race and also 2lb out the handicap. That said given that Epsom run is probably a stone ahead of mark, but needs to show some form again.

Poatan is a 100+ rated horse. Looked pretty unlucky to me not to beat Words of Truth lto. I just hope there is enough cut in the ground as think this is head of mark. Draw not best but at the price good enough

Poatan 11/1 ew

5.20 - Missed the price on Dancing Pirate and Henley on Thames so can't play these now. Crystal Queen comes from arguably the best 2yr old race and ran better then finishing position. Was staying on strongly and looks ahead of mark. Draw and ped are nagging, but Fahey has won this race before so knows what it takes and gets a decent 3lb claim

Crystal Queen 18/1ew (Can still get on exchanges, but Hugh Taylor tipped so price now gone)

Saturday, 8 August 2026

Bets 08/08/2026

Never too appealing from a betting perspective as 10 runners means less value to be found, but prize money decent enough for there to be triers.

13.35 - Bolo Nights 4/1 won on wrong side over C&D lto.

14.10 - Dancing in Paris 17/2ew meets my trends. I like the Balding fave and most likely winner, but this race isn't won enough with improving 4 year olds. More plotted and mature handicappers.

14.45 - Night Breeze 7/2. Best form on the table. C&D winner

3.20 - Thunder Call 7/4. Best in race. Maybe should have won lto. I really don't like the price though.

4.30 - Ozat 4/1 - Strong Ascot form. Looked unlucky many times at Goodwood. No surprise to see Two Tribes win if stays, but q is too big for now.

Bets 01/08/2026

It's been clear for a long time that I don't know how to back favourites and yesterday was woeful. One winner. -10.5pts.

The 3.00 was absolute carnage. Darkness came flying from the back faster than anything and Indalo was hemmed in and hampered for the closing part of the race. Ancient Rome who I said was best on numbers finished 4th at 33/1, but I wouldn't have picked the winner.

From being 18pts up on Day 1 to -2.5pts on Day 4 is painful. Final day and sticking with handicaps only.

1.50 - There may be a clue in the Ebor Antepost betting. Valedictory probably needs a rise/penalty to get in. Being nibbled in the antepost market at as if going to win this :) Meets all the trends, but having nightmares about favourites now :)

Incensed's run in the Listed race at Goodwood in May has rock solid form and collateral form makes this one look very well handicapped. Has very good course form.

Valedictory 3/1

Incensed 18/1ew

Rfc 56/1 and 66/1

3.35 - Quite easy for me to pick my two in this. Sondad is on the up and romped a massive handicap lto. On paper Dark Thirty should turn the tables, but won easier than the the margin. Two Tribes, back in form and well handicapped

Sondad 7/1ew

Two Tribes 8/1ew

Rfc 40/1 and 44/1

4.10 - Start Me Up and Naval Light both meet the trends I want. Naval Light has course experience and has been given a couple of confidence boosters before this race. Has a lot in hand if doesn't hang too badly. Once go the hang of it, moved quickly. Start Me Up, I kept an eye on in Dubai. They fancied one day and pummelled the price but didn't do much. Watched it's penultimate race at Chester and really liked the way knuckled down on the straight. Think will step up from that. Ignore last race as was hugley inteefered with at the start.

Naval Light 15/2ew

Start Me Up 18/1ew

Rfc 140/1 and 152/1

5.20 - Spell Master brings decent form and down 1 furlong makes sense. Thunder Wonder is down 11lb since last Glorious Goodwood and despite a poor start finished very well so could be a last race Johnston plot. Money has come for it.

Spell Master 5/1ew

Thunder Wonder 12/1ew

Rfc 58/1 and 62/1

Bets 31/07/2026

Lion of Alba was far too left field. Apparently Call Margot found ground too quick and was found lame, so we'll never know. I very keen on chances. I'm most gutted about My A'Ali Baba, no space, hung a bit and then massively hampered and not recovered. Would have at least placed. Donna Beauty, may have placed if wasn't so free and hanging all over the place but either way -8 for the day which is never nice, but that's the danger of playing on big prices!

1.50 - I think it's quite hard to find anything confidently to beat Valiancy. Ran super well at RA from a poor draw.

Valiancy 11/4

2.25 - Talk of New York is very short, but rightly so. 7lb clear and rock solid form. Deffo acca uplift job

3.00 - Ancient Rome is best on numbers but looks regressive now. I have little doubt O'Meara is working Darkness's mark back down. 6lb down now since a decent run at Haydock. Three rides at York an all poor, including the last two, which helped 4lb....Loves conditions over C&D here and feels big to me. Tribal Chief and Indalo are strong on trends so can't be ignored. Both are drawn low, Tribal Chief can fluff lines but Indalo is 2lb well in and so worth a play

Darkness 40/1ew, Indalo 6/1ew

3.35 - Couple of 3 year olds with a good chance in this with Spicy Marg and Aspect Island, but I like Night Raider more. Spicy Marg looks out of form and not as good over 5f as Night Raider even with 3yr old allowance. Aspect Island will have to improve a lot, so sticking with Night Raider who was done by the draw at RA.

Night Raider 3/1

4.10 - Haatem and Galen are joint top on numbers, but course form edges it for me

Haatem 5/2

4.45 - Jaijai 14/1ew, Sky Secret 16/1ew

5.20 - Into The Light 11/4

Valiancy, Talk of New York, Night Raider, Haatem, Into The Light 5 fold 300/1... Played 4 folds also (Total 1pt). For example if 1pt = £25, £5 on the five fold + 4 x 5bets on the four folds = £25 total

Bets 30/07/2026

Draw hurt Sir Garfield today. Was quite keen on it. Very close with Under The Starlight, but anyway only a couple points down as Pershaada won at 4/1.

Going wild today.

1.50 - Going left field with this. I found holes with most I liked so rather look for a bigger priced one. Step up in distance should be fine.

Lion of Alba 20/1ew

4.10 - Anyone who followed me on Call Margot at 25s at Epsom will remember how unlucky we were. Just like that race I have no idea why is so big at 20's today. Goodwood and Epsom are pretty similar and Call Margo once again is going to get Nana's Shadow helping to set the pace like at Epsom. Call Margot should have beaten Nana's Shadow easily and this time gets a 17lb pull with the decent claimer included. 17lb!!!

Wasn't a huge amount of money for it at Epsom, so not worried if drifts and I put a line through lto on slower ground. If Call Margot doesn't get too keen, surely has a huge chance. Stable in good form, draw is fine, pace is fine, numbers are good. Fingers crossed.

Call Margot 20/1ew

4.45 - I liked Cash Cove in this, but his draw means shouldn't play with fire. Another big price that has some value is My Aali Baba. Got course form under belt and the winner of that now has a G1 entry. Gelded before last race and well enough. Should come on again. I like jockey booking and A'Ali is 23% in 2yr old handicaps....I think the Supreme King would have won today if drawn the other side (Sir Garfield was also impacted), but means think stable form is good too.

My A'Ali Baba 22/1ew

5.20 - Yes it's a 2year old non-handicap (not by speciality), but So Lovely and Avalon Queen set the standard, but I think there's a space for a big ew. Only 3 others have race course experience. 8/10 winners all ran 1 race before winning this. Starspangledbanner 2year olds are 29% here at Goodwood. Johnston's have always loved this meeting and throwing her straight into a decent maiden at the guneas meeting must mean they thought something of her (came back lame), so why not play a huge long shot of 50/1 with Donna Beauty. Note I wouldn't do this if wasn't 14 odd points up.

Donna Beauty 50/1ew

5.55 - Might post one tomorrow.

I put a treble on Flann Sunna, Enceladus an Friendly Soul 25/1

Bets 29/07/2026

18 points up for Day 1.

Naff day for big handicaps. Last two races are big fields but they are class 3 and class 4 races. i.e. Naff.

1.50 - 9 runners and can make a case for a few of them. You'd expect the KG form to shine through but Hatteen also looks ahead of mark. No bet.

2.25 - No betting opinions as Wild Blossom is fave and best on numbers. No bet

3.00 - Flora of Berumda is top on numbers, but Zanthos is decent. Can make all today. Ignoring last two runs due to draw.

Zanthos 5/1ew

3.35 - Another non handicap but I had Pershaada marked down post Ascot and think has a fave's chance and at 4s happy to play.

Pershaada 4/1

4.10 - No betting opinions. No bet

5.00 - I don't follow formlines for C3 and below so it's much harder for me to assess a field like this. Under The Twilight is best on numbers and nearly won at Glorious Goodwood last year. Worthy fave on paper, but Sir Garfield beat Amazing Journey two races back and Lipsink was close enough to Twilight Calls lto and they bring the best formlines. Born Slippy is dangerously handicapped but first run back and I think better with cut in ground.

Sir Garfield can front run from a good draw and go close and Under the Twilight is best on numbers

Under the Twilight 7/1ew

Sir Garfield 12/1ew

5.40 - You could back many of these with good rationale, and there will be so many plot jobs that you can't see on paper. Bobby Bennu drops in class and should be winning a race like this. Problem I have is this race 90% of the time goes to an exposed horse dropped to a winning mark. Yesterday in haste I did put an ew double with Bobby Bennu and Pershada, but I have to follow trends and numbers Rhoscolyn is best on numbers by a long way, even on GF, but surely needs softer ground? DivineLibra second best on numbers. The Fingal Raven is on my tracker and I think is going to win soon, but not sure in right form atm. The Liffy went from 98 to 86 and now won 4 of last 5 races and clearly a stinky job from a good draw. Goldmoyne brings the best c3 form here and with prominent racing style can go close. Pelitory ties in with this formline but will stick with Gold due to draw.

Divine Libra 20/1ew.

Goldmoyne 9/1ew

Bets 28/07/2026

Health Warning before start posting my thoughts for this week. Goodwood has been tough for me over the years. I went through my last 14 years of Glorious Goodwood betting and only made profit in 8 of the years. Worst meeting was -28 which isn't too bad in the grand scheme of things. Last year I did not a winner until Day 4 when had a 20/1 and 12/1 winner but I remember those first 3 days. Painful. I found a betting slip from 2012 to remind me it's possible to smash it though :) Either way do not get carried away with life changing accas and don't chase this meeting.

1.50 - This tends to go to an improving 4 year old who has won over at least 1m2f. I think this is quite tough to be confident on the winner as most of the top 6 in the market have a serious chance.

Yabher meets all the trends. Won by 6l over CD. Won't get an easy lead again but looked decent when hit go and interestingly is 0/4 with left hand tracks so can maybe forgive York.

Midak was 9/1 for the Derby and is ahead of mark. If breaks cleanly and doesn't run too free, can go close.

Diego has been well backed. Entered in a G3. Form is good and Lyons is 1/1 here.

Al Ali I backed in Dubai believing was well handicapped and bolted up lto very easily. Something has clicked.

Quai De Bethhune won well at Ascot but not sure what's happened since. Has the talent to win though.

Twisting Physics is very interesting on trends and very unexposed for a 5 year old with a very good 5lb claim, but Cole has no record at Goodwood, so have to pass this one.

Diego is no price now, but must be a lot of confidence behind it. Going with Yabher for C&D form and Al Ali for potential I saw in Meydan that now might be unlocked. This was also have one high and one low draw.

Yabher 8/1ew

Al Ali 8/1ew

3.35 - Trawlerman now has the fitness and 1lb pull, which is the margin I need to give him the vote to win

Trawlerman 2/1

4.10 - Race has changed format so trends in the bin. Keeping it simple. Twinlight Calls and Seven Questions are the best on numbers. Twinlight cruised to win lto and Seven Q's was given a magic ride by Spencer over C&D in May but had lbs in hand. Taterstalls was not next best on numbers but his C&D form is very good, just a question of whether low enough mark to win. Rappers Delight frustrated me couple times in Meydan but is no doubt going to win soon but Twinlight had the full measure of him lto. Jasour is well handicapped on graded form and could easily win this if turns up. Toca Madera is impossible not to back though given draw, front running style and previous glorious goodwood form and again helps cover low and high draw now.

Twinlight Calls 8/1ew

Seven Questions 16/1ew

Toca Madera 16/1ew

5.20 - 3year olds have farmed this race and Annastarzy looks a solid improver and a C&D winner. Proposal was interesting but has to overcome a difficult draw. Liked Crazee Icon and Wid also but stick with one given price.

Annastrzy 4/1

5.55 - Beaujolais Nouveau is a mental price at 40s when compared to Bintaryana. Can make all from Draw 1 and get a very soft lead as not many front runners drawn low. Machadadrop looks a likley big improver and main danger.

Machadrop 9/2

Beaujolais Nouveau 40/1ew. (For transparency I've backed at 50's on exchanges and laid out in running at 10s to get my 40s. I placed a Top 5 bet separately. If front runs and gets a soft lead odds should drop to below 10s on the exchanges 1 - 2 furlongs out).

Sunday, 26 July 2026

Bets 27/07/2026

One flat bet at Galway worth playing.

7.50 - Nod of Approval 12/1ew is good value to turn tables on the fave Darius Dark given is effectively 1 stone better off. They should be a similar price. Came from the back last time out and had to check left so many times, but once finally got clear powered home. If Nod of Approval is ridden closer to the pace can win this. It's a race Harrington has won 3 times in the last 5 years.

Friday, 24 July 2026

Bets 25/07/2026

None of these races are classed as 'festivals' so you know the score. There's a fair bit of alignment with HQ today though.

Ascot 1.10 - Never Enough 6/4 should be enough

Ascot 2.20 - Disappointing if Touleen 4/5 can't win this given what has shown

Ascot 2.55 - Mentioned had few on the radar for today. Touleen was the first and the other was Amazing Journey. In my great wisdom, when was 50/1, decided I'd wait for the draw. On Thursday was 12/1 and panicked and backed it. It's now 8/1, but I'm not convinced it's got the best draw.

However, it's not a max field so Saffie will have more than enough time to line this highly progressive 3year old up to win on on part of track needs to. Blitzed the field last time out with very strong turn of foot, race time and is technically 5lb ahead of mark on paper, but visually a lot more.

Shame the price has gone, but I'd not back anything else ahead of it and hopefully 50s into 8s is a positive sign the stable fancy it.

Amazing Journey 8/1ew

Ascot 15.35 - Calandagan 13/8 best horse on numbers and worth backing Never Enough, Touleen, Calandagan Treble 10/1+)

Ascot 4.45 - Hickory is best on numbers and back to form lto. Could be an Osbourne double...

Hickory 11/1ew

Ascot 5.20 - Rythmn N Hooves is best on numbers and I deleted Kylian from my tracker, but is second best on numbers. Given Cowell likes to target the race and his horses are #1 and #2 on numbers have to back them both

Rythmn N Hooves 15/2ew

Kylian 11/1 ew

York 2.00 - Commache Falls is best on numbers and Rousing Encore is going to win a race soon enough and the price today is worth finding out if it's today

Commache Falls 25/1ew

Rousing Encore 20/1ew

Thursday, 23 July 2026

Bets 24/07/2026

Ascot 2.20 - Cut and Sew 14/1ew. Classic Walker 2nd time out 2year old profile?

Ascot 4.05 - Al Azd the one to beat for sure, but Theory of Tides could be the one to give most to think about stepping up in trip. Theory of Tides 9/1ew

Ascot 5.12 - Kilavia 9/2ew should be winning a race like this or I'd give up on it

York 5.32 - Orne 11/1ew nearly setup Lir Speciale perfectly for us lto. Today can make all low side and maybe, just maybe hold on, in a poorish race.

York 6.05 - Vaguely Royal 8/1ew back in good form.

York 7.15 - Fiscal Policy 33/1ew if assume last run was poor due to draw looks a decent ew price

York 8.25 - Go Vince Go 3/1 race to lose

Saturday, 11 July 2026

Bets 11/07/2026

Putting up 3 favourites in non-handicaps. All losing. Not cool. I need to stick to handicaps! Pelitory 28/1 was the 9th agonising double figure price 2nd this flat season. Could have made the day, but instead July Cup is now -14.5 and John Smith is +0.5.

A lot of racing today.

John Smith Festival Day 2

York 2.02 - Furturra 6/1ew best on numbers

York 2.39 - Checkandchallenge 9/1ew has come down the weights now and is best on numbers. Cannot afford to miss the break though. Lost King 6/1ew was next best.

York 3.12 - King Charles III surely the formline to follow for this? Out of those at the prices, given nearly won this race last year opting for Miss Attitude 12/1ew

York 3.45 - Danger Bay 7/1ew meets the trends I need, but tough race.

York 4.20 - Terrorise 12/1ew back to a mark can win off. Money for it suggesting is back in good form. Will need to be.

York 5.30 - Juan Les Pins 12/1ew is best on numbers but bit of a joker, so Sixtygeesbaby 20/1ew worth playing at the prices.

July Cup Day 3

2.52 Newmarket - Wechaad 4/1 can reverse placings with Moonfall

3.25 Newmarket - Two Tribes 12/1ew ran well enough from a bad draw a RA to suggest back in good form and ready to resume progress

4.35 - Satano Reve 10/3 best on numbers, with age being only stat concern but looks in decent nick

5.10 - Righthere Rightnow 6/1ew best on numbers, Secret History 12/1ew most unexposed

Non Festival Bets

1.55 Ascot - Schrodengers Cat 12/1ew

I think my strongest 3, one from each track, going into an ew trxie are:

1.55 Ascot - Schrodengers Cat 12/1ew

York 4.20 - Terrorise 12/1ew

3.25 Newmarket - Two Tribes 12/1ew

Thursday, 9 July 2026

Bets 10/07/2026

Calico Blue in second to Jazl was quite frustrating. I don't think was a draw bias. The better horse won. Oxagon did everything was supposed to until started wandering around and the final pair no good, but not to give up on. The joker sweated up badly and the fave was super restless at the start but means start the July Cup -6.5.

July Cup Festival

Newmarket 1.50 - Princling 5/2 should be hard to beat given last race. Backed Evanesco lto so hope doesn't get allowed an east lead.

Newmarket 2.25 - Libertango 4/5 super impressive lto

Newmarket 3.00 - I think Pole Star 14/1ew can reverse placings with Globlet of Fire at twice the price. Proven C&D runner behind Align the Stars.

Newmarket 3.35 - With the 3year old allowance Precise 4/5 should win

John Smith Festival

York 2.10 - If Pelitory 28/1ew bounces back to form is very well handicaped over C&D

York 5.05 - Brazen Bolt 10/1ew, Muker 12/1ew

Non Festival Bet

3.10 Ascot - Arbaawy 18/1ew and Shaman Champion 18/1ew are too big based on marks and performances here

Bets 09/07/2026

Newmarket

1.50 - Del Maro is the best horse on form here, but 5 runner race and Hannon is 3/4 winners in this race, so you can't wrtie off Alderman, who they've not given up on. No bet.

2.25 - Adday Scarlett is clear on proven numbers, but 3 runner race with another Appelby hotpot. No bet

3.00 - Knocked this down to a longlist of 5, which is unhelpful. Thunder Call is the likely winner, and not totally convinced Red Spells Danger can reverse the form, but it's possible. However I have to believe, as I always do, until proven otherwise the RA handicaps are the strongest formlines. Calico Blue finished the best of those draw wrong side in the Holyroodhouse, runs prominetly and winner over 6f already.

Calico Blue 7/1ew

3.35 - Another 4 runner race. No bet

4.10 - No thoughts

4.45 - Oxagon, blinkers on, head down, make all and see if can win. It's second best on numbers behind Morris Dancer so value at the prices.

Oxagon 9/1ew

5.20 - Shipbourne looks well handicapped and be hard to beat. Backed The Joker couple races back as the form with Glacius and Del Maro cannot be ignored. I think has started to put it together, and can land the forecast with Shipbourne

Shipbourne 3/1
The Joker 10/1ew
Shipbourne / The Joker Rfc 25/1 and 30/1

One and Gone a game winner. Underdog very unlucky from my perspective and one for nto. Glacius ran well into 3rd, but not good enough to win that race.

1.50 - Sandown - Asfoora is best on numbers but had a good draw lto and wasn't convincing? Rumstar 3/1 looked like he was going to take off in this race last year and if in similar form be hard to beat. Words of Truth will make it a good race.

2.25 Sandown - Hard Endeavor 14/1ew is better value than Beagle Bay. I backed River King at 12/1 as ran well from draw at RA, but pricewise has killed the price and value is gone at 6s.

3.00 Sandown - Secret of Life 5/1ew. Entered in the Falmouth and other group races. Big horse. No way Beckett runs in this if doesn't think a decent chance stepping up from a c4.

3.35 Sandown - A Boy Named Suzy 9/1ew is the value bet. 400m out lto was so far behind Constitution River, stuck behind many horses. Finished much closer. Reckon will drift given the focus on the other big names. The risk might be the fast ground.

4.47 Sandown - Sassicaia 13/2ew too keen lto, but hugely unexposed.

5.22 Sandown - Flying Frontier 6/1ew

Sandown Eclipse Festival - Day 1

1.50 Sandown - Don't want to be getting caught up in a 5 runner race, but Comical Point sets the standard. Probably the best play for a win, but you know me, I'd rather let One and Gone 15/2ew try to make all Contact Point to nab it late. The rfc 14/1 and 20/1 on b365

2.25 Sandown - Underdog 9/1ew. C&D run was good. Assuming Ascot came too soon and all the pace was drawn low in that race so can draw a line through.

3.35 Sandown - Sallaal should win, but willing to give an improving 3year old with 10lb allowance a chance. Glacius 10/1ew.

Bets 27/06/2026

1.40 Newcastle - Has usually got to a 4 year old and Rajeko for sure is very interesting. Room Service has a G2 entry but both are at end of betting and only info could tell you about chances. I'm willing to take on the 4year old and look Stupido here and back the two who are best on handicap numbers for me.

Korker 25/1ew

Witch Hunter 28/1ew

2.10 Newcastle - Diligent Harry pipped Annaf on the line last year breaking a 6,000/1 treble. Still hurts. Best on numbers today and will try to make all again.

Diligent Harry 9/2 (Note that personally put a lay in running at 1.2 in case gets nabbed on line)

2.40 Newcastle - Haveyoumissedme's mark has dropped to 8lb lower than when ran in this couple years back. In much better form now and can maybe take advantage of this mark. Believeitandyoucan might be hard to beat.

Haveyoumissedme 18/1ew (6p)

3.15 Newcastle - Spirit Mixer a lovely 25 winner last year but this year found it tougher.

Team Player 11/1ew

Prydwen 16/1ew

Blazeon Five 25/1ew (0.5pt ew only)

3.45 Newcastle - Annaf is best on numbers but this is super tricky. Hope Cool Hoof Luke sets a decent pace for the race. I can pick 6 horses who have a solid case for this race, but they've got Annaf's mark down now to be competitive in handicaps and obviously ran super well at this festival last year. Rappers Delight bust a 6,000/1 5 fold at Meydan, and I know is well handicapped, so better not be the day pops up! Fahrenheit Seven is highly progressive on AW. Decent ew price

Annaf 14/1ew

Fahrenheit Seven 20/1ew

York 1.20 Washington Royal 8/1ew

York 2.25 - Fortification 7/2

York 4.15 - Millions Gold 14/1ew
