Bets 24/03/2014

Pretty solid day yesterday. If Canary Row finished 2nd I had a 100/1 forecast lined up. Annoying, but either way welcome home Flat Racing. Nothing exciting this week until Saturday, so just a few punts to keep me going until then:

Wolves - Small patent on Very First Blade 11/4, Grace Hull 5/1 and My Single Malt 15/8

Profit: £0
£10.00 Very First Blade  11/4 - LOSE £0.00
£10.00 Grace Hull  6/1 - WIN £70.00
£10.00 My Single Malt  15/8 - PLACED £0.00
£40.00 Accumulators  N/A - LOSE £0.00

Bets 23/03/2014

Lingfield worked out well yesterday. I think Ladies Are Forever was unlucky yesterday, but George Guru followed home by Broklebank @ 35/1 was sweet.

I’ve resubscribed to the RP and am going to spend time researching again before betting now that the jumps season is upon us. I will also start tracking P&L again….

Tom Pricewise Segal has tipped 2 in the Irish Licolnshire today:

4.40 Curragh – Canary Row 18/1, Lord Aeryn 20/1

Right I am pants at Irish racing but love it:

2.10 Curragh – Bolger has won this for the last 3 years and was 2nd year before that, so no reason to expect Alertness 6/4 won’t be decent

2.40 Curragh – Only one here with a G1 entry, but that might not mean anything. However will go with it – The Islander 3/1

3.10 Curragh – Sruchain 5/1 lost form last season but based on run over C&D last year is on a decent mark and has Spencer onboard. Not sure Great Minds is well handicapped but seems to be chat about him. Caprella 25/1 seems a high price. Trainer reckons too high in handicap, but if runs like he did in a G3 here last year has a decent chance. Ask Dad nearly made my shortlist

3.40 Curragh – Wananbe Better 3/1 is top rated, aimed at the race and trainer good record in this

4.10 Curragh –Fly To the Moon 8/1 has some form against Indian Maharaj in a listed race that might be the answer and Third Dimenson 5/1 has been smashed in the betting

4.40 Curragh – I totally see where Segal is coming from with Canary Row – coming second to Dawn Approach on debut can’t be too bad and a decent run this time last year in Listed race puts him on a decent mark. Stuccodor 9/1 looks decent too as fit from hurdling, decent draw. Regulation 14/1 has been running very well in Meydan and has a decent record here. Trainer reckons ground worry but lets see. We’ll Go Walking might try to nail this from the front as looks too shorter trip but is def decent. Eisteins’ Filly is pretty decent too. Feck sod this, too many.

£192.50 Profit
£20.00 Wannabe Better  3/1 - LOSE £0.00
£20.00 Fly To The Moon  8/1 - WIN £180.00
£20.00 Alterness  6/4 - LOSE £0.00
£20.00 The Islander  3/1 - LOSE £0.00
£20.00 Sruchain  5/1 - PLACED £0.00
£10.00 e/w Caprella  25/1 - PLACED £72.50
£20.00 Stuccodor  9/1 - WIN £200.00

Smashed Meydan 10 days ago! And close to landing 92k. 4 out of 5 came in the acc!

WARNING: I've done ZERO research for cheltenham as having a bad jumps season and in Auz at mo so no real time for research. This is more for the banter.

Tom Segal has gone mental as always:

1.30 - Gilgamboa
2.40 - Ackertac, Wrong Turn
3.20 - My Tent or Yours
5.15 - Art of Logistics, Festive Affair

My quick shot at glory and reckon Hendo, Jonjo and Mullins will storm it

1.30 - Vatour 7/2
2.05 - Champagne Fever 3/1 - backed Trifolium AP
2.40 - Hadrians Approach 10/1
3.20 - Hurricane Fly 3/1
4.00 - Quevega 5/4
5.15 - Ericht 9/1 - backed AP 16/1 already though, Manyriverstocross 10/1 and maybe King Vuvuzela 20/1

Notice Segal reckons Foxtrot, Iriving, Quevaga and Hurricane will be tough to crack!

Bets 01/03/2014

Last Bets for 3 weeks. Yes, I’m missing Cheltenham, but the way the jumps have gone probably not a bad thing. I have a few AP bets, all NRNB, mainly Segal. Today Tom Pricewise Segal from the Racingpost has tipped:

3.30 Donny – Monbeg Dude 6/1 and Strorm Survivor 12/1

I’m not touching the jumps!

Gulfstream 10.10 – No Nay Never

Lingfield 1.10 – You’re Gifted or College Doll

Lingfield 1.40 – Welsh Inlet

Lingfield 2.15 – Hinton Admiral

Meydan 2.45 - Busker

Lingfield 2.50 – Halljoy

Meydan 3.20 – Bannock interesting if bounces back to form. Can’t suss out if Dragon Fallls has been unlucky or whether upto winning this. So, go with Tamarkuz and Free Wheeling

Meydan 3.55 – Kavanagh, Take Ten

Meydan 4.30 – Captain Joy

Lingfield 5.10 – Unsinkable

Meydan 5.10 – Cavalryman

Meydan 5.45 – Sanshaawes, Saxo Jack
