Bets 01/03/2012

Was I glad I stayed away from Folkestone yesterday? Predictably, no. I saw the gamble on Upham Atom. I even wrote " Upham Atom was 20/1 last night and now as low as 6/1 on a decent mark." Won at 4/1! Oh well. Lumped on Kudu and won a staggering £14.29. Glad I went each way on Dawn Commander and the Kempton race was predicted well enough for Dunhoy to win. Back over the £700 profit mark. Hope it's not the proverbial ceiling...

Meydan 2.30 – I’m tempted by Moon Spun back on turf at this trip. Previous runs suggest this is her trip. 7/1 probably not value when you see the unexposed Counterflow and other C&D winners.

Meydan 3.05 – This is competitive and a lot of chances here. I’m down to Yaa Wayl who looks like he needs step up in trip. Jardim must have a chance if kicks for home a bit sooner, Emerald Wilderness who disappointed last time out but could bounce back and bloody Sarrsar who flopped for me last time round.

Meydan 3.45 – I bum the AUS horses here, but what I learnt today is that imported AUS horses don’t do as well as the hardcore AUS horses, so I’ll pass over Soul on this occasion (will of course regret this). I like Regal Parade and back on turf and sprinting could work out.

Meydan 4.20 – Ip Man looks on a good mark still, but there are A LOT of horses in this race!!!

Meydan 4.55 – AUS horse Gingerbread Man has some interesting form. Viscount looks a solidish favourite but I hope Dark Matter can step up in trip on turf.
