Bets 09/04/2012

The weather is going to cause havoc today. The going is going to get softer throughout the day but today could be seriously painful, so I’m lowering to £20 a pop today. I want to look at everything, but there really is not enough time! Argh!

Fairyhouse 2.40 – Oscars Well has disappointed me time after time and though seemingly on an upward curve I’m going to take on with Get Me Out Of Here. May have a hard race at Chelts which is what worries me, but with the 7lb could be a formality.

Fairyhouse 3.10 – 25 runner race. May as well throw my money away. Bat Masterson ran well behind a decentish set of horses at Chelts. Carberry on board.

Fairyhouse 3.40 – Steps To Freedom is shouting out at me, but another that has let me down. However STF is the class horse in this race and can take this.

Fairyhouse 4.50  - Segal has tipped up Ninetieth Minute and Out Now. This is a daft race to tuck into and could be a lottery. Cross Appeal, Four Commanders and Catch Me All interest me. The first two have good-ish form behind them and future entries are interesting. The latter looks like the step up will be perfect but may just not be good enough. You can make a case for a lot of these. It is the Irish National after all.

Chepstow 4.35 – I’ve been undecided about so many races at Chepstow today and I’m worried about the ground. Oscar Davy looks solid with cut in the ground now likely to be available. Will also take a chance with Ranjobaie.

Chepstow 5.10 – I followed Run To Fly last season and am tentative about following again, but I will start off doing so.

Fakenham 2.40 – Marky Bob looks a sure thing.

Fakenham 3.15 – Chance taken on Santo Thomas.

Fakenham 5.00 – Earth Dream will take if continues good form.

Plumpton 3.05 – Should be an easy win for Current Event. Nicholls is flying again.

Plumpton 3.40 – Sticking with the favourites and Marie Deja La who flies in Spring time will hack away the 9lb rise.

Plumpton 4.15 – Absolute Shambles may well need this run, but definitely performs better in Spring. On a very low mark and at 6/1 with 3 places is hopefully a ‘safe’ bet.

Redcar 2.00 – Flat season is still unfolding and horses could return from the break with a bang or could flop. I’ll take a big chance with Rio’s Girl who has run well here, is on a low mark and fit from AW tracks.

Yarmouth 2.25 – Periphery looks decent although anything could pop up here in the first time runners

Yarmouth 4.10 – Fourth of June looks well handicapped so could go well although the market doesn’t seem to like this one so likely have this wrong.

Yarmouth 5.20 – I must have Conducting mixed up with another horse as 11/1 feels way off for a horse who has run well here before, has good form and Barzalona onboard. Hmm

Yarmouth 5.55 – If anything beats Scatter Dice it’s a horse to keep an eye on.
