Punchestown 4.20 –
Surely all about Alderwood and Trifolium.
I don’t buy Alderwood’s form against Edgardo Sol and he is butters overt
hurdles but it is hard to ignore the races he has won. Byrnes horses aren’t in
the best of form but I still think Trifolium is the better horse. Has had enough
time to recover from Cheltenham and has won here over 2m on heavy ground.

Hmm. Big puzzle. All winners have been big boy double figures. I have my eye on
a couple but the one that really interests me is Ceol Rua. Handicap debut and Mullins speaks highly of the horse.
There’s been a lot of talk about Snap Tie and yes could be well handicapped but
comes back on top weight on testing ground after a long time off. Can I back
it? Balllyhaunis interests me as well, just clearly didn’t like it Cheltenham.

This might be one to take Sizing Europe on with. He seems to tail off in after
Cheltenham although his form now behind Finian’s is fantastic. Segal has tipped
up Realt Dubh, but he was supposed to be running in the 3m race. China Rock
might find this to sharp. Captain CB and Gauvain may not have the class and Big
Zeb looks to be passed it. This brings me back to Sizing Europe.
