Bets 01/07/2012

Woken up late again, so missed any decent prices. However, if I achieve what I did yesterday, who cares! Well actually I do, as it's lost money for laziness. Pricewise Segal has put two up today, and even if his Sunday form is never as good as Saturdays he is on fire:

Chantilly 2.40 - Sofast. He tipped at 8/1. Now 6/1
Curragh 4.20 - Sapphire. He tipped at 9/2. Now 11/8, but there are 3 non runners so will have to check it out.

Curragh 3.45 – Can’t see beyond Famous Name in this company

Curragh 4.20 – I don’t know how to chose between Sapphire and Izzi Top. Segal has tipped Sapphire. Izzi Top is a Gosden bombshell. And to further complicate things Up has a 10lb weight/sex allowance. Hmm. A four horse race and can’t pick between three of them. Not touching.

Curragh 5.25 – Midnight Soprano 7/4 has looked awesome since last October, beating, Unaccompanied, Plan A and more importantly Saddlers Rock on the way. Yes the latter is flattery as Saddlers needs further and gave 10lb that day, but it’s still an almighty achievement.

Chantilly 1.00 – Taking a punt that the ground won’t be an issue for Bungle IntheJungle 7/1. Hoping the Windsor Castle Stakes is a race to follow.

Chantilly 2.40 – Segal has tipped Sofast. I’m going with Gregorian 9/2. He looks tough and Gosden’s gang are on fire.

Will have a cheeky gander at home racing now....

Salisbury 2.05 – Wild punt on an unraced Hannon juvenile. Stiff Upper Lip 20/1.

Salisbury 3.05 – I was going to back Triple Dream, until saw Wreningham 11/1 who is 10lb better off and only 1 length behind Triple Dream last time out. No brainer if that’s the form line I want to choose in this race.

Salisbury 3.40 – Sherman McCoy 12/1 won this last year. Has had a similar prep is lower in weights. Western Prize 3/1 looks better than Cl4.

Windsor – Might have to do something with the Hannon horses in each race as half bets.

Windsor 2.15 – I did so well backing favourites yesterday, so no idea why I keep looking for a long shot, but and going for Verse of Love 25/1. Not convinced this is the right trip. Think more effective over 7f, but can’t get it out of my head.

Windsor 3.15 – Glittering Gold. Obvious danger Gosden’s Jungle Beat.
