Bets 30/05/2015

As the ground stays constantly good and as formlines appear I get closer to the big win. I picked all my haydock choices yesterday under assumption was good ground. Then the rain came... Conversely nailed the first 6 picks in the day on good ground and was one away from £20k. Painful. Really painful despite winning £3k. I will probably be in chase mode, so be aware :)

Tom Pricewise Segal from the Racingpost has tipped:

1.45 York - Blaine 14/1, Al Khan 12/1
2.35 Haydock - That is the Spirit 10/1, Captain Cat 14/1
2.55 York - Red Baron 10/1

Soo many races....

1.45 York - Blaine 14/1 had a huge bet on this last time out but was drawn on wrong side I reckon. 3lb claim today

1.50 Chester - Beaverbrook 4/6 best in field by a fair away

2.00 Haydock - All form points to Talmada 7/2, is top rated and had bolted up over C&D before

2.35 Haydock - Cable Bay 5/1 was 66/1 for the Lockinge but he was travelling the best at 6f by a long way and was last off the bridle and flying home. Just hope drop to 7f does not disadvantage

2.45 Newmarket - Golden Horn form means Peacock 11/10 wins

2.55 York - Bogart 12/1

3.00 Chester - Gabrials Kaka 14/1 back on a good mark and much better over 1m

3.20 Newmarket - Penhill 2/1 will go close to winning again

3.45 Haydock - The weather forecast says no rain and it's currently GS-G so Limato 11/10 all day long.

3.55 Newmarket - Noblest 3/1

4.05 York - Galileo Gold 10/1

4.30 Newmarket - Mehdi 8/1 needs to be kept closer to the pace this time, but if does can take this

4.40 York - Tazffin 2/1

5.05 Newmarket - Angel Vision 2/1

5.20 Chester - Rembrandt Van Run 7/1 comes form a Newbury maiden full of awesome horses

Bets 29/05/2015

King of Rooks looked very good yesterday and on debut it was known it was a good horse. I just need to remember Hannon's 2yr olds improve markedly from debut over next 2 runs. Consort was also very very good.

Feel like favourite backing today:

2.00 Newmarket - Blossomtime Evs
2.30 Newmarket - Leaderene 11/8
2.40 Newcastle - Khalaas 11/10
3.05 Newmarket - Horseshoe Bay 11/8
3.35 Newmarket - Firmdecisions 7/2
4.10 Newmarket - Spageage 2/1
6.45 Haydock - Paddy Power 2/1
7.15 Haydock - Certificate 6/1
7.45 Haydock - Muqarred 7/2
8.20 Haydock - Murgan 4/6

Thursday 28 May 2015

Bets 28/05/2015

Sandown 6.35 - Steady Pace 9/4

Sandown 7.10 - Tom Pricewise Segal has tipped Trip to Paris 6/1. I remeber landing this race with Gloomy Sunday 25/1 couple years ago but I can't see passed the fave Vent Du Force 5/2 today. Should have won the Loniges last time out. Moore will be chasing him down on Simenon

Sandown 7.45 - Wowwaweewa what a race. If Tryster is as effective on turf as is on AW can only be one winner. Eagle Top first run back. Western Hymn ground maybe too quick. Arab Spring 11/4 is one I will tentatively go with but issue for me is step back in distance.

Sandown 8.15 - Consort 5/2

Tuesday 26 May 2015

Bets 26/05/2015

2.10 Lingfield - Rumours that Tutu Nguru 6/4 is decent

3.00 Leicester - Very Honest 9/2

4.30 Leicester - Middle England 14/1

Monday 25 May 2015

Bets 25/05/2015

After a solid Saturday had a sloppy Sunday. Look to be a few worthy faves today:

2.20 Windsor - Hughes was very bullish about this horse in the RP at the weekend and that the only reason I am backing it as on paper would be slightly nervous. Francisco 6/4

3.10 Carlisle - Sharqeyih Evs - solid form and Haggas has 50% SR at Carlisle

3.50 Leicester - Mistrusting 5/1 form with Malabar puts this one well ahead of mark. Charlie Crocker too but at the prices will go with Appelbys horse as has a G3 entry

4.55 Leicester - Yarrow 10/11 should be free money. Form boosted by Speedy Boarding and Fabricate.

Sunday 24 May 2015

Bets 24/05/2015

3.20 Curragh - The Grey Gatsby 6/4. Segal has tipped Postponed 7/2

3.45 Longchamp - Tac De Boistron Evs

3.55 Curragh - Found 7/4 was awesome last year and I'm putting line through last race on heavy ground. AOB likes winning this with second string which is why Segal has tipped Kissed By Angels 7/1

Saturday 23 May 2015

Bets 23/05/2015

Tom Pricewise Segal from the Racingpost has tipped:

2.00 Haydock - Nearly Caught 5/1, Seamour 10/1
3.20 Curragh - Endless Drama 20/1

I'm getting excited about Ascot now but still a few more weeks to grind out....Not touching Ireland...

2.20 Goodwood - Ayrad 9/2 is def capable of winning a listed race. Rest have questions.

2.35 Haydock - Salateen is the class horse in the race but first run of season Mutarakez 4/1 looked really really impressive last time out. Was slightly awkward when Detorri hit go initially but once was going, was seriously going and looks decent.

2.55 Goodwood - Tough race. So many of these are ahead of their mark. Muffri'ha lost me a fair amount last time out and still looks well in but think wants further. Mullionheir also looks well ahead of mark but not sure how good that form is. King To Be C&D winner ans strong form, but a chance taken with My Dream Boat 5/1, who is also decent and ahead of mark.

3.10 Haydock - Explosive Lady 12/1 has seriously good form as a 2yr old. Gets a decent allowance and could blow this lot, but worry about it being first race of season. Gathering Power 5/1 is tempting, but only because the owners Paddy Power are short about the horse, so maybe they know something?

3.45 Haydock - Last year's winner Hot Streak 9/2 won this pretty easily and can do so again (maybe not as easily though). If the ground were quicker G Force would proabably romp this. Goldream has to be taken very seriously too. Tough race

4.20 Haydock - Barkston Ash 11/1 ought to go very very close off this mark

4.55 Haydock - Amazour 5/2

Friday 22 May 2015

Bets 22/05/2015

2.50 Goodwood - Zeshov 7/2 on best form wins this well. There's good form from early days

3.05 Haydock - I think it's bizarre how a horse who beats a 80 rated horse by 5 lengths in a maiden is only given a handicap mark on 77? (Scalzo). Ordinarily I'd pile into this one and I might regret not doing it at 4/1, but I think Ghalib 2/1 could be even further ahead of the handicapper (maybe like a stone)

3.25 Goodwood - Luna Moon 11/8. Well ahead of mark

4.00 Goodwood - Best of Times 2/1 could have won last race by a long way

4.35 Goodwood - Endless Time 10/11 well ahead of mark

Thursday 21 May 2015

Bets 21/05/2015

3.50 Goodwood - Resonant 2/1 and 7.00 Sandown - Yorkkidding Evs two MJ nags that look well ahead of marks

4.25 Goodwood - Jellicle Bell Evs was well fancied for Gunieas so must be decent

5.00 Goodwood - Speedy Boarding 3/1

Sunday 17 May 2015

Bets 17/05/2015

Goes from bad to abysmal for me.

3.55 Navan - Segal has tipped Answered 3/1, Ladbrokes are 7/1 on Kingfisher vs 12/1 other bookies so clearly a big run expected from the Ballydole nag. At the weights yes has a massive chance, but Forgetten Rules 10/11 is my bet. 3 races into career and looked a seriously awesome horse. I'm not sure the penalty will halt progress.

Saturday 16 May 2015

Bets 16/05/2015

Tom Pricewise Segal from the Racingpost has tipped:

3.10 Newbury - Plymouth Sound 12/1
3.45 Newbury - Custom, Cut 9/1. Here Comes When 18/1
3.25 Newmarket - Steve Prescott 18/1. Subersive 12/1

Boy am I glad I went half stakes yesterday. No idea why I can't buy a winner at the moment. Sticking at half stakes today again and I'm only having a few. WIll sit back and watch it unfold instead.

2.00 Newbury - Elite Army 5/1 (with Skybet, so if Telescope wins , money back)

2.35 Newbury - Desert Force 16/1 e/w

2.50 Newmarket - Latharanch 5/2

3.45 Newbury - Moohaarib 12/1 e/w

Friday 15 May 2015

Bets 15/05/2015

Ouch. So, back to the drawing board. Bad few weeks.....

Tom Pricewise Segal from the RP has tipped:

2.40 York - Great Hall 12/1
3.45 York - Realtra 7/1

I'm back down to small stakes today until I find my mojo again.....

2.40 York - Agree with Great Hall 12/1. I want to smash into Top Tug, but think ground needs to be slower.

3.55 Newbury - Keble 9/4 was thought to be good enough for Derby so hopefully best of these lot

4.10 Newmarket - Forever Popular 13/8 is 33/1 for Oaks so must be pretty smart

4.20 York - If I was at York today I would have no issues slapping £100 e/w on both Don't Tell Annie 28/1 e/w and Rosie's Premier 28/1 e/w. They looks huge prices based on previous runs. Don't Tell Annie a few lengths behind Patience Alexander and Tiggy Wiggy over C&D and on a mark of 84. Rosie's Premier of 90 beat Profitable who won a Listed race here yesterday.

4.30 Newbury - Mountain Rescue 33/1 e/w

4.50 York - Subtle Knife, Ishiamber, Dusky Queen combo Tricast 100/1

5.00 Newbury - Lobster Pot 7/2

Thursday 14 May 2015

Bets 14/05/2015

Tom Pricewise Segal from the Racingpost has tipped:

2.10 York - See The Sun 8/1, Desert Law 14/1
3.25 York - Goldern Horn 5/1
3.45 York - Fort Bastion 10/1

Gosden Day Today.

Not great yesterday with only 2 winners...

York 2.10 - Monsieur Joe 12/1 last years winner off same mark

Salisbury 2.20 - La Boheme Evs

York 2.40 - Gosden is flying and so is Bragging 2/1 apparently

York 3.15 - This is tough to call. Could be a Gosden 1-2, but Nafaqa 16/1 e/w looks good value. Will be better over this distance (I think). I have Jack Hobbs 50/1 for the Derby so no need to bet on him again.

York 3.45 - Prince of Johanne 16/1, Merry Me 20/1

York 4.20 - Limato is a solid marker so Tendu Evs should win

Newmarket 6.25 - Fallen for A Star Evs

Wednesday 13 May 2015

Bets 13/05/2015

On Monday was a nose away from a 50/1 five-fold. So frustrating. Anyhow....

Tom Pricewise Segal from the Racingpost has tipped 3 today at York:

2.10 York - First Flight 10/1
2.40 York - Kickboxer 12/1, Mehdi 14/1

Right a few decent horses running today. Let's see how York treats me this year. Been either hit or miss with little in the middle in recent years.....

York 2.10 - Field of Fame may well have beaten Mashoob if wasn't hampered, but after a long lay off might not reproduce. Not sure why everyone harps on the draw as in last 5 years two have won from stall 17. Tres Coronas 2nd in this last year to Clever Cookie, who beat Tac at the weekend, needs it softer. Mashoob 7/2 really is the proverbial Group horse in the handicap race so am all over this one and I absolutely agree with Segal on First Flight 10/1. Very hard to get but the rf/c pays 32/1

York 2.40 - Mass Rally is all the rage and you can see why from that mark but I will pass over. I think Blaine 20/1 is huge. Only ever run twice at Newmarket and both were very bad runs. On the other hand only ever runs well at York. Balmont Mast is really tempting at a big price as running in Group races and mark has tumbled, but will pass over for Polybuis 12/1. Looked really progressive last year and ran a blinder last time

York 3.15 - There are some really decent 4year olds in this but for some reason they don't fair well in this race. However Lightening Moon 6/1 and Muthmir 6/1 look awesome. The latter will apparently need the run so the horse bought by G'dog gets my vote tentatively.

York 3.45 - Star of Seville Evs

York 4.20  - Foreign Diplomat 6/1 ahead of mark. Debut here at the Ebor meeting was behind 2 104 rated horses.

York 5.20 - Ribblehead 10/1, Itlaaq 20/1

Just incase York goes tits up a couple at Newcastle:

2.20 Newcastle - Classic Win 13/8

4.55 Newcastle - True Pleasure 15/8

Saturday 9 May 2015

Bets 09/05/2015

Bit deflated after yesterday's results. Anyhow Tom Pricewise Segal from the Racingpost has tipped 4 today:

Haydock 3.25 - Handiwork 12/1, Lexis Boy 25/1
Ascot 3.45 - Highland Acclaim 25/1, Baraweez 12/1

My turn....

Ascot 2.00 - Penhill 3/1 is well fancied, but Oasis Fantasy 6/1 won't be a push over

Haydock 2.15 - Firmament 3/1

Ascot 2.35 - WInter Thunder 5/2 is top rated

Haydock 2.50 - Intibaah 4/1

Ascot 3.10 - Solar Magic 4/1 ahead of mark, good course form and fit from last race

Ascot 3.45 - I heart races like this but I have no time to go through each runner which is sadtimes, but American Hope 16/1 e/w has a blinding chance. Ran an awesome race in the Brittania from a poor draw. Haweyethenoo 33/1 is a massive price. 14lb lower than last time over C&D.Chil The Kite 25/1 is also big but may have a bad draw. Normally higher numbers do well so Heavens Guest 25/1 is also tempting. Ahhh too many to pick from!

Lingfield 4.50 - New Prov 4/1

Ascot 4.20 - Paddy Power 13/8 supposedly decent

Ascot 4.55 - Gabbiano 10/1 and Freycracker 12/1 both C&D winners on winnable marks

Thirsk 8.10 - Lord of The Rock 6/4

Friday 8 May 2015

Bets 08/05/2015

Another few bad days for Seagull, but today he has tipped:

2.10 Chester - One More Word 8/1, Colour Blue 12/1

My turn...

Lingfield 1.30 - Barefoot Dancer 5/4 should have won last time

Chester 2.10 - I'm not sure about either of Segals picks and I prefer Rene Mathis 14/1 e/w. Good course record and can win off effectively 95 with Jack.

Lingfield 2.30 - Acoylte 9/4

Chester 2.40 - Smugglers Cove 5/4

Chester 3.10 - Tac De Boistron 2/1. Penalty makes it touch but solid course winner and ground are all positives

Lingfield 4.10 - Swiss Affair 5/4

Chester 4.20 - I heart a good Single Malt 16/1 e/w.

Ascot 6.05 - Annie Salts 8/1 e/w

Ascot 6.40 - Nafla 9/4

Nottigham 6.15 - Wheatsheaf 2/1

Ascot 7.45 - Bold 5/1

Tom Pricewise Segal from the Racingpost has tipped:

Chester 2.10 - Tres Coronas 11/2
Chester 3.10 - Storm The Stars 13/2

Again, not enough time midweek to look at cards, but still let's punt....

Chester 2.10 - It's likley that Collaboration 2/1 will win again. But I agree with Segal bout with Tres Coronas as he did win pretty easily last year, but either MJ is lowering the mark of Sennockian Star ready for a 33/1 winner at Goodwood or SS really has lost the will. Either way SS 16/1 e/w is worth a punt. Last year poor draw in this race and is 10lb better of with Tres Coronas today. Have to hope bounces back to form though. I also like Master of Finance 11/1 and therefore an MJ 1-2 150/1 rforecast :)

Chester 2.40 - Cannock Chase 7/4

Chester 3.10 - Hans Holbein 9/4

Tom Pricewise Segal from the Racingpost has tipped:

2.40 Chester - Banzari 8/1
3.10 Chester - Zafayan 10/1

Not had enough time to look at Chester properly which is annoying.

3.00 Brighton - Steevo 2/1

3.10 Chester - Kooookash 123? Ha. Maybe. Probs, but maybe Shu Lewis 20/1 e/w

7.4 Chelmsford - Covert Love 4/1

Favourite bashing today....

12.30 Beverley - Stubbins 4/5 solid form

1.40 Windsor - Mia San Triple 5/2

2.30 Bath - Avenue Du Monde 9/4 step up in favour and handicapped well enough

3.15 Curragh - Found 8/11

3.25 Windsor - Bold Lass 7/4

4.35 Windsor - Royal Flag 15/8

5.05 Windsor - Lady Kyllar 5/2 won so easily last time

Sunday 3 May 2015

Bets 03/05/2015

The one day I decide to punt straight on the nose rather than each way I get 14/1 2nd, 12/1 2nd, 12/1 2nd 14/1 2nd, 7/1 3rd and 14/1 3rd! To rub it in I had 3 favourites between into 2nd as well! SERIOUSLY!!!

I think I feel like at leasy I'm on the right lines, but my betting balance does not feel that way! There were a few good moments yesterday though with Gleneagles, Scazlo and Twinlight Son.

Tom Pricewise Segal has lost the last 15 of his punts so is not helping the cause either, but today he has tipped:

1.50 Newmarket - Arab Dawn 12/1
3.00 Newmarket - Boomerang Park 16/1, Secretinthepark 14/1
3.40 Newmarket - Legatissimo 8/1

Right let's hope all my picks can go one place better than yesterday!

1.50 Newmarket - Asteronereus 7/1 e/w. Solid handicap form and course winner.

2.05 Salsbury - Spectator 9/2 e/w

2.25 Newmarket - Fintry 2/1 will be hard to beat but Lamar 20/1 e/w is a tempting bet without the favourite

2.45 Hamilton - Andre Aussie 9/4

3.00 Newmarket - Zanetto 14/1 e/w massive drop in weights and if gets a good break can go close. Segal has picked high draw cleverly so both of his have good chances

3.40 Newmarket - Boy am I gutted about Found. Had she lined up and won was sitting on an £8k win after Tryster and Gleneagles won the first part of the treble. I feel aggrieved to bet in this race now. Segal tipped Fadhayyil 16/1 Antepost so have her. Osaila has a good chance but I think Lucida 11/2 is a huge price. I also think Qualify 16/1 e/w is hugely under the radar. JOB is going to drop her in from a poor draw and then pending no traffic or major rain could fly home. Huge turn off foot. Jellicle Bell has been backed for the Oaks and Willhill are 7/1 against 12/1 on other bookies so maybe they know?

3.55 Hamilton - Grandad's World Evs

4.50 Newmarket - Jazzi Top 5/2

5.25 Newmarket - Global Force 9/2 e/w

Stoute e/w double Bragging and Mustard

Saturday 2 May 2015

Bets 02/05/2015

Tom Pricewise Segal from the Racingpost has tipped:

2.00 Newmarket - Angelic Upstart 9/1
3.45 Newmarket - Dutch Connection 20/1, Celestial Path 33/1 (Antepost)
4.25 Punchestown - Prussian Eagle 14/1
11.34 Churchill Downs - Firing Line 14/1

I'm going to miss all the racing today so hopefully I'll come back to riches :)

2.00 Newmarket - Educate 7/1 won the Cambridgeshire of this mark over here!

2.15 Goodwood - I had a huge accumulator heading my way had Jordan Princess 5/1 won last time out. Was only beaten by a masterful ride by Hughes. High hopes today.

2.30 Newmarket - If Justice Day 14/1 gets held up he can win this. The head wind merked him last time out

2.45 Thirsk - Muffri'ha 5/2 is very well handicapped if fit

2.50 Goodwood - Fiftyshadesofgrey is tempting but Pastoral Player 12/1 could be a huge price. 7f, quick ground on a very low mark and a 7lb claimer. All adds up.

3.25 Goodwood - Doctor Parkes 14/1 C&D winner on reasonable mark.

3.45 Newmarket - I have Ol Man River 50/1e/w Antepost so hoping for a place. There are a bunch of very good horses here. It was nuts to think Hannon has a 40/1 winner in this and 50/1 in 4th last year. I followed Ivawood 14/1 as if was the next best thing. Hughes is so very bullish I have to back him. But if Gleneagles 4/1 is fit then I only see one winner. Was phenomenal last year. Normally Ladbrokes would give us a bit of a clue and whilst they are lowest price they are lowest with a few others at 3/1 so fairly optimistic from them

4.05 Goodwood - Wee Jean 12/1 loves it here

4.20 Newmarket - Twinlight Son 11/8 is well ahead of mark and apparently has been going better then Limato??!? If so, well that's obvious.

4.40 Goodwood - Arc Cara 3/1

5.05 Thirsk - 3yrs olds farm this and the best is Legends Gate Evs

5.10 Doncaster - Comedy King 2/1

5.15 Goodwood - Bold Appeal 5/1

5.50 Goodwood - Harlestone Hopes 5/1

7.45 Doncaster - Scalzo 3/1 supposedly Pattern class

Friday 1 May 2015

Bets 01/05/2015

Nice easy treble yesterday. Let's see if can nab a bigger one today.

1.50 Musselburgh - O'Mear still in good nick and his horse has good draw Halsall 13/8

3.50 Chepstow - Udod'  9/4 looks well handicapped and trainer likes him

4.10 Lingfield - Amazing Speed 15/8 ran a decent race at the Craven meeting. Will come on heaps for it. (i hope). Was 4/1 so punters think he will!

Tom Pricewise Segal from the RP has drawn a blank at Punchestown so far. Seems to be loving De Brom horses. Anyhow, a few more today:

4.20 Punchestown - Shanahans Turn 12/1, Doing Fine 16/1

6.05 Punchestown - Sempre Medici 9/2
