Bets 26.03.2022

12.20 Meydan - Strom Damage 9/1 ew

3.35 Doncater - I'd be surprised if Brunch didn't place after a decent second last year. I can't work out which 4 year old is going to beat it, but surely one will. Guess Modern News is the obvious one, but can you trust a newbie 7lb claimer. Not sure. Irish Admiral looks a big horse and won really readily at Redcar couple races back. Can't believe won;'t win a decent race this season. Teodlina was interesting too, but stick with 2

Brunch 14/1 ew

Irish Admirel 25/1 ew

11.30am added revich 40s ew bases on how unlucky was last year

4.16 Curragh - If Bowerman bounces back, with Moore onboard is chucked in. If Laelaps has improved over winter big vlaue ew. A lot of ifs :)

Bowerman 10/1 ew

Laeleaps 20/1 ew

Bets 18/03/2022 - Cheltenham Day 4

GDS falling was not a great start. Having said I thought about Third Wind and Mill Green and not backed them as main bets was annoying but at least gives comfort was looking in the right place. Allaho landed a great AP and Love Envoi was decent. Spiritofgames placed and Slate House did somewhat bounce back and place too. I'm approx break even for the week going into the last one.

Triumph - No Antepost bets here and I could back 6 of these.

Moving on swiftly...

County - I have I Like to Move it ANtepost 12/1 and Eclair De Beaufeu 16/1. Now 33/1. Oopps

I cna't back State Man at these prices. Looking for an outsider

Today: My Mate Mozzie 20/1, Tempo CHapter Two 33/1, Surprise Package 9/1

Albert Barlett - Have GInto 12/1 Antepost. COME ON.

Hillcrest looks pretty good and suspect given Elliot form will win. On the same formline to GInto is Minella Cocooner so worth an ew

Today: Minella Cocooner 11/1ew

Gold Cup - I have ABP 12/1 Antepost

I feel worth opposing HDB and Elliot nags given the way the week has panned out.

Protokerat looks very good value for an ew

Today: Prokerat 11/1 ew, Mullins f/c and t/c

St James

Billaway into acca

Today: Premier Magic 20/1ew

Martin Pipe - HAve Lnager Dan 8/1 Antepost.

If Decimation runs anywhere near to the form it did in that Fairyhouse G2 race, it's gona decimate this field. Ashdale Bob ran very well in a handicap here this week as is much higher in the weights.

Freedom to Dream is too big given the price of Hollow Games and using the last race as a marker.

Today Decimation 28/1ew Freedom to Dream 20/1ew

Thursday 17 March 2022

Bets 17/03/2022 - Cheltenham Day 3

Journey for Me falling a big ew acca buster. Ahoy Senor a nice 50/1 AP place. Ashdale Bob 25/1 AP place though at one point thought might win. Bloody watering and rain....Facile Vega 14/1 AP was a nice relief.

My AP bets are doing better than my on the day bets yet again but tellmesomthinggirl falling was a major screw to the big AP double with Facile.

Turners - Have GDS in few accas. Obviously my big AP bet of 8/1 was in the wrong race. Grrr.

No bets, but will put GDS in an acca today.

Pertemps - No Anteposts! Lame.

Oscar Elite ran so well for me that it's impossible to ignore Alaphillippe for the same reason. i.e. the Albert Barlett last year. I want to back Ballyandy, but I worry trainers horses havebnt run well at festival so far

Born Patriot is a young and improving sort. Ran a cracker at Chelts behind KCC and minus jumping the way he ran this time last year in a 2m7f novice hurdle shows me has some talent and looks like a stayer which'll be needed to today. Fahey yard flying so a big plus.

I made the big mistake of assuming an Elliot nag wouldnt turn the tables on Ashdale Bob, but of course COmmander of Fleet so in same vain I have to back Tullybeg. Classic Elliot tactic of running 3 times close together and then giving them a break. I am totally worried about the ground but let's see.

Clearly Sire Du Berlais is going to go close. I thought about Third WInd and also Mill Green, but stick with 3 which is too many already :)

Antepost : None

Today: Aphillpe 6/1, Born Patriot 18/1, TUllybeg 18/1

Ryanair - Antepost. Have Allaho to win last race and this at 12/1 AP

Conflated was a impressive last time. Melon is interesting but find it a tough betting proposition.

Today: FC - Allaho/Melon

Stayers Hurdle - No Anteposts standing.

Struggling a bit with this. All have very strong claims so tricky. I prefer to stick with current form, so will go with Royal Khalaa as a new up and coming powerhouse in this division

Today: Royal Khalaha 6/1

Plate - No Anteposts.

Admirel and Spiritofthegames are very well handicapped. The latter a bit of a cliff horse to me but ran well last race and stayed on.

The Glancing Queen, Imperial Alcazr Chinwag all interesting anf if Slate House bounces back is chucked in. Stick with two though

Today - Admirel 9/1, Spirtfogames 12/1

Ryanair Mares -

No idea.

Today: Love Envoi 7/1

Kim Muir

BEn Dundee did not frank School Boy HOurs. FLouer didnt frank Frontal Assualt. Can;'t back a HDB horse given current form. Not looked in detail as out of time

Today: Come on Teddy 12/1, Omar Moretti 9/1

Tuesday 15 March 2022

Bets 16/03/2022 - Cheltenham Day 2

Well I never saw Constitutional Hill coming. Does anyone really know what would have happened if Dysart Dynamo didn't fall?

I also never saw Edwardstone coming. I totally wrote King horses off on historical fact. The Ultima would have been amazing if Oscars Elite won, but thankfully Coach Rmabler storme home under a solid ride.

Totally gutted Tellmesomething got brought down else would have been fighting out the finish I reckon. However after seeing Hendo do so well blindly backed Eptante ew and Maries Rock ew, so I was lucky today. I immediatrly punted an ew trixie on the 3 big price hendo horse for today :)

Ballymore - I have I Am Maxiumus 66/1ew and Journey for Me 6/1 as Antepost bets.

I assume Sir Gerhard wins this, but given how well Hendo did yesterday would love for I am Maximus to do the bizz.

Antepost: I Am Maxiumus 66/1 ew, Journey for Me 6/1

Today: None

Brown Novice Chase - I have Ahoy Senor 50/1 and given Lucinder banged home Coach Rambler keen for this. However I didnt' think was going to run in this so partially cashed some of this out and it's also on the nose.

Given how well Gabynako ran yesterday and looking at the form of the Navan Novice chase and Noel Meade current form Beacon Edge has got to be a decent outside chance.

Bravesman was not good in the Ballymore last year and L'Home Press not been the trip nor gets the ground so happy to take both on.

Dusart is surely not experienced enough to win here, but the way beat Flash Collonges suggests probably closer to a 160 horse. Also it's Hendo!

Antepost: Ahoy Senor 50/1

Today: BEacon Edge 12/1, Dusart 25/1

Coral Cup  - I have Gowel Road Anteposrt. Was one of my let downs last festival but has improved a whack since

I like Ashdale Bob and also back Antepost. Sure big weight but others have won of high wiegths. I really like the form of the Boyne Hurdle based on what Ashdale and Thedevilscoachman beat at day. On paper potentially the pair are closing to 160 mark. In fact I put Ashdal and devils into an Antepost Double as well.

Call Me Lord is one of the best handicapped horses in the field and given the form of Hendo can;'t believe is this price.

Antepost : Gowel Road 14/1, Ashdale Bob 25/1

Today: Call Me Lord 33/1

Cross Country  -

Poker Party backed from 66/1 into 14/1. WTF is going on here. I'll back it blindly assuming is a well layed out plot then.

If Tiger is wound up for this then sure will romp. I might back Shady Operator. Will keep eye on martket for this race as even Easyland is tempting

Today: Poker Party 20/1

Grand Annual - Backed Embitteres Anterpost!

Thyme White absoltely bolted up last time out and hope can go close today

Antepost Embittered 14/1

Today Thyme White 12/1

Bumper - I have Facile Vega Antepost. Minefield of  a race so nothing else for me

Update 11am - Added two picks for today

Antepost - Facile Vega 14/1

Today. James Gate 20/1 ew, Our Jester 50/1 ew

Monday 14 March 2022

Bets 15/03/2022 - Cheltenham Day 1

I've had my head blown off with antepost runners not making it and/or going to different races.

Balko Des Flos and Ferny Hollow the two biggest acca busters.

Today calls for an Elliot acca and a fave acca too

Supreme - Can't believe only 9 lining up. That shows how scared everyone is of the runners entered then...?

Dysart and Contsitutional Hill have the highest ORs/RPRs so far and everyone raving about them. I can't back raving potential at these odds, even if likely winner comes from one of them. Coming into this race I've been all over Jonbon mainly due to pedigree, but I have so many accas with Jonbon in them already. Have to be worries about temperament given will be non stop loud roaring. I was worried about Hendo form, but he had a number of winners at the weekend so csan't use that as my excuse. I've never heard of Bringonthenight and Kilcruit was beaten over further by decent sorts but with Mullins onbaord it's a worry as SR is 4% at Chelt.

I had my eye on Mighty Potter for a different race as think goes further, but that's not a bad thing for the supreme. I think the way this race pans out, MP will be pushing hard a fair way out but will absolutely tonk up the hill. That Lepoarsdtown novice race has produced 4/4 winners. It's Elliot's only runner for the race. One dart = bullseye.

Antepost: Jonbon 3/1

Today: Might Potter 8/1

Arkle - I already have Magic Daze 25/1 ew Antepost. Don;t think can win especially given jockey booking but hey could easily make all like nearly did last year in the Mares Novice. I'm mega worried about HDB current form as well.

Given HDB form I can't go near Coeur Sublime, otherwise it would have been high on my list. I'll obviously be fuming if CS wins so maybe a small saver :) I just don't fancy Edwardstone/King. I don;'t believe Third TIme Lucki is a 153 horse and so really dont think Edward is 159.  Leaves me with Blue Lord, Rivier Etel, Haut En Colours. They all ran in the Irish Arkle. Argubably Rivier should have won, but who knows what would have happened in HEC stayed up. Looking at previous forlines you can make a chase for it. It's pretty brave backing a 5 year old who fell last time out, but fook it. Blue Lord will go into an acca and I already have Rivere in ew Antepost Accas

Antepost: Magic Daze 25/1

Today: Haut En Colour 7/1

Ultima - I backed Floueur 11/1 Antepost, and Oscar Elite 25/1 Antepost.

I backed Floueur last week when Death Duty was the fave and so a shorter price and I was convinced Floueur could turn the tables on Death Duty as was a bad mistake at the last and stayed on very strongly. Looks like the market thinks so too now. With Gainford onboard the 3lb claim is solid.

Elliott/The Irish oddly dont have a very good record in this race and it doesn't matter as I've found a nag with 1 stone in hand ;)

Would love to see Frodon win, but won't get an easy lead, got top weight and still hold a grudge from when beat Waitiing Paitently :)

Does he Know for sure has a good chance. On penultimate run, I'd worry not well handicapped. On last race could argue is really well handicapped. Jumping is always a bit dodgey and maybe is better at Ascot. Even though hits a lot of trends, tough to back at 8/1 especially as trainer not in great nick.

I don't think Fantaskas is well handicapped and a few out of the handicap that surely can't back even if one is Oscars Elite. Given I've already backed it not much can do, but that form with Vanillier in the Albert Barlett is decent. Not fully convinced is a better hurlder but ran14lbs better when ran at festival last time. Ran well enough in a novice chase here before falling. Think an okay 25/1 chance.

I called out Ben Dundee for a different race but I'm convinced would have won two years back at the festival off this mark had it not have been for some fallers that hampered it. Ran a cracker over Xmas, and got to be a decent ew chance. Danny Mullins secured for the ride.

Vintage Clouds comes into this in even better form than last year but is 12 now and not sure ground will be soft enough? I really want to back Kiltealy Briggs as called it out antepost as being well handicapped but I think this is the wrong race? Coach Rambler won really well here before Xmas so worth a dabble but Full Back must be nearly a stone better than mark based on last run so gets the full backing here.

Antepost: Oscars Elite 25/1, Floureur 11/1

Today: Ben Dundee 20/1, Coach Rambler 11/1, Full Back 20/1

Mares Hurdle - I have Tellmesomthinggirl 15/2 Antepost for this and in double with Facile Vega 14/1. Again I'm so worried about HDB form but let's see how the day goes before panicking, although not convinced Facile will win either anymore.

Anyway back to this. I fancied Echoes In The Rain for a while. Then I saw PWM onboard and I can't risk that as well as the step up in trip in one go. Assume Paul Townsend choose Stormy Ireland over Echoes and the Reekel win in Jan good enough for me. Strong form

I don't want to back anymore, but struggling to get away from Queens Brook as well. I think will turn the tables on Burning Victory. Money

Antepost: Tellmesomethinggirl 15/2

Today: Stormy Ireland 6/1, Queens Brook 4/1

Boodles - I called out Prarie Dancer 25/1 in a post earlier this week and it's been smashed so I take that as a good sign. Whacked it in a few accas last week as well.

PD was the value pick against The Tide Turns using Icare Allen as a market. Obvs eveyone else has seen that now hence the price crash.

That said Gaelic warrior will probably hose up. Golden Sun and Sans Bruit have gone on to win g3s and g2 races in France and GW is running off 129. Admittedly I dont know what ORs you need to win pattern races in France but this feels like a shoe in. Not back at this price though.

There aren't really many I can get a good feeling for, but at a price Britza 25/1 might be worth a nibble.

Antepost: Prarie Dancer 25/1

Today: Britza 25/1

Saturday 12 March 2022

Bets 12/03/2022

Sandown 1.50 - Knapers Hill has the best formline, Our Jet, Muchos Mas and Marble Stone are maybe half a stone well in and Dubronik maybe a stone well in based on penultimate run and there are others who are also a few lbs ahead of mark. Not seen a race like this in a while.....

Not sure what I'll do here but perhaps some kind of combination tricast.

Jet Plane 28/1 ew

Marble Sands 20/1 ew

Dubronik Harry 11/1

Our Jet 5/1

Sandown 2.25 - Another one with a fair few ahead of mark. In fact I backed Lucky One and Lebowski on Thursday as well as Hackers Des Places sop can't really look at this race again.

Lucky One has to bounce back to form but is chucked on early form and was tried in pattern class. The money is coming, so either a massive plotted bookie trap on the stable know this is back to similar form. Lebowski is also well in, but after I backed this was worred that neither traioner nor jockey had won at track. Worry, but again money for it. Hackers won well last time, and given Nicholls current form expect will go close again

Lucky One 10/1 AP.

Lebowski 33/1 AP

Hackers De Place.

Well worth some Skelton doubles here like Lucky One and the Our Jet/JEt Plane

Thursday 10 March 2022

Chelts 2022 Handicaps - Earlish Thoughts

No idea what ground will be like but doubt will be good ground or heavy either.

Given so much competition in the pattern races, reckon we'll see a few group nags chucked into handicaps.

Given everything NRNB worth punting on the chance it might happen

 Ultima -

Floueur 10/1. Can reverse with Death Duty. Was 11 lenghts behind Galopin last year, but was screwed from the off and flew passed the whole field towards at the end.

Kiltealy Briggs 20/1 is really well handicapped but I really think would have a better chance in the plate. Grr.

Antepost - Oscar Elite 40/1 - Not sure will make the cut, but I backed last time out and said be intestered if flops and then pop up at the fesitval given was 2nd in the Albert BArlett last year.

Boodles - Not looked in depth yet

Prairie Dancer 25/1 is interesting at the moment

Coral - Again not looked in depth yet.

I Am Maximus 14/1 NRNB. If turns up here should be really well handicapped. I have it 66/1 Antepost for Ballymore if not. Form with Hillcrest is rock

Grand Annual -

Embittered 10/1. Has to bounce back which is a risk, but went of 9/2F in this race of 1lb higher last year and was cruising till fell

Pertemps - TBC

Paddy

Ben Dundee 20/1 - Interested to see who picks up the ride but solid festival form

Kitealy Briggs 33/1 - Wish runs in this race, but think owners sponsor the Ultima so doubnt will rock up here

Spritofthegmes 33/1 - Unlikley to make the cut but think can go really well if does

Kim Muir - Must wait for jockey bookings

County -

10/1 Echoes In The Rain goes off as fave if runs here rather then the Mares

12/1 I Like To Move It solid form

14/1 Devils Coachman. Potentially worth a double with Ahsdale Bob in the Coral Cup in case the form really is solid.

Martin Pipe - Need to wait a couple days till have a better idea of who will be running. Everyone is on Langer Dan....

14/1 Queens Brook surely wont come here? But if does is home and hosed
