Bets 23/08/2017

York 1.55 - Shamson fluffled start last and looks like could still rate higher as he has previously done before as won the newmarket race better then bare result. If Themse reproduces his Nunthorpe effort over C&D from last year will totally ROMP this race. The other who is on a very low mark is Moviesta after close run to Washington DC. All  of these are course winner which is important but can't back all 3? Tricast is 1800/1 :)

Themes 12/1 ew
Moviesta 12/1 ew

York 2.25 - Not much to go on. De Ex Bee 2/1

York 3.00 - Hmm. Cracksman is obvious, but Venice Beach is a massive danger, no? Cracksman Evs

York 3.35 - Hmm. Barney Roy 11/4

York 4.15 - Using The Cashel Man as a marker Penlai Pavillion comes out well on ratings. LAst seen in this country romping away with CW trial. Only 7lb higher and was thrown into big races so must be wel thoguth off. Runs well fresh too. Star Rider looks a better horse over 2m so hopefully drop back suits. Been fair bit of money for it too so hopefully good sign

Penglai Pavillion 12/1 ew
Star Rider 16/1 ew

York 4.50 - Only one CD winner in the field; Zap. Ignore last race. Penultimate race was pretty close to Cardsharp so on the OR scale is half dozen lbs ahead of mark and has a decent claimer too. Tathmeen is potentially really well handicapped on debut but soft ground may have exaggerated win. Demons Rock on the other hand is defo ahead of mark. Total demolition job in last race hugely eased down and was still pretty keen too.

Zap 16/1 ew
Demons Rock 11/1 ew

Bets 04/08/2017 - Glorious Goodwood Day 4

1.50 - Second Step 9/2 ew CnD winner and on better terms with Lord Yeats

2.25 - Make Time 3/1 solid on soft bolted up last time and his OR will go up today one way or another.

4.10 - Gift in Time 7/2 won very well from poor drw last time so mark opening mark is decent

4.40 - Tomyris 6/1 ew at the weights wins

Ew/ Quad on above

Thought about Battash but lot of money on Profitbale and thought about Londinium but ran earlier this week

Bets 02/08/2017 - Glorious Goodwood Day 2

Urgh. Fingers crossed Secret Advisor brings home the 60/1 double today. Need it!

1.50 Goodwood - October Storm 14/1 1pt ew is well handcapped based on Ascot Queen Alexandra Stakes. Taws 12/1 1pt e/w is 7lb lower than when 6lenghts of winning this couple years ago and come here of decent jumps run

0.25pts rfc 140/1

2.25 Goodwood - Secret Advisor 5/1 2pts win. I do like the chances of couple of MJ nags such as Hochfeld and Sofias Rock, but I'm sticking with my formline as SA was styaing on very stronlgy from back.

3.00 Goodwood - Havana Grey 4/1 2pts win backed this last time. Sound and Silence 11/1 1pt ew

3.35 Goodwood - Churchill 2/1 4pts win to bounce back. Gets 7lb allowance from Ribchester

4.10 Goodwood - Your Choice 9/1 1pt ew. Finished behind subsequent 3rd G3

4.45 Goodwood - Skiffle 7/1 1pt win back into handicap solid CD winner. Titi Makfi 6/1 1pt win bolted up penultimate race but struggled on Newmarket track

5.50 Goodwood - Sinfonietta 5/1 2pts win solid form after Ballet Concerto won John Smith; Newbury too soft and Ascot too far. Medival 10/1 1pt ew  clearly doesnt like newmartet track and drsawn badly in Britiannaia. Previous form in pattern compny suggest well handicapped

Havana Grey Placed, Secret Advisor Placed, Churchill w/o Ribchester  1pt 4/1 Treble

Taws, Secret Advisor, Havana Grey, Skiffle 0.25pts Trbles, 0.25pt ew Quad

Bets 31/07/2017 - Glorious Goodwood Day 1

As ever no idea what carnage the weather will cause. RP says GS and risks of hingavy downpours...will they, won't they, no idea.....

1.50 Goodwood - No MJ horses to worry about. RESULT; just 18 to choose from then. Baydar has slipped to an interesting mark here but fully out of sorts. Khairaat bolted up at Chester and flopped next time but suggest hike was enough for effort that maybe flattered him and Brorocco has not franked the form on several attempts. I think the JS handicap is the best form here and the two that were staying on strongly at the finish were Garcia and Eddystone Rock. Garcia is definitely progressive and Garrity knowing couldnt win last time didn't cake Garcia too hard. With Moore booked this has to be a decent bet. Goodwood is such a merkage place and I'm in such dire form will go e/w 5 places. Eddystone not progressive and did look unluckly and whilst when got going didn't really make much of an impression I'd kick myself for underestimate the hammerage so small ew. I thought very hard about Oasis Fantasy as on a lower mark than when 2nd last year but doesn't look like fancies it much at the moment.

Garcia 5/1 2.5pts ew 5places
Eddystone Rock 16/1 1pt ew 4places

3.00 Goodwood - Basically betting against the weather. I heart Limato but not on ground with soft in in. I kind of hope it rains as am taking Limato on on this basis. Sprit of Valor was expected to win last time with all the weight allowance and at the weigths is best off today. Home of the Brave is unbeaten in 2 starts this season and actually beat Jungle Cat easier than on paper; Doyle was casually looking around and was in full control. 2nd in this race last year and with the low draw can control from the front. SoV has had a long season and whilst has ever chance favour Home of the Brave

Home of The Brave 8/1 2pts ew

3.35 Goodwood - Am taking on Big Orange on ground basis only. Again gambling against the weather. I'm just not sure who else to back. Down to Stradivairs, US Army, Wicklow Brave and Sheikzroad.  Urgh. Wicklow Brave has beat Order o St George and was 4th in this last year. Sheikroad has beaten Big Orange couple times this year on slower ground and 3rd in this last year.

Sheikzayedroad 12/1 1pt ew
Wicklow Brave 16/1 1pt ew

4.45 Goodwood - Confessional solid CD winner in good form as is Vibrant Chords

Confessional 16/1 1pt ew
Vibrant Chords 5/1 2pts ew

Accs
Home of Brave 8/1/Garcia 5/1 1pt ew Double
Stradivarius 9/1/Secret Advisor 5/1 tomorrow 2.25 1pt ew double incase form stacks up
