I think if trainer form is dire then I should stay away and again if draw is not great it's not really worth the risk.

I was luck Killorey drifted to 40/1 and placed. I wonder if wasn't so far held up whether could have won as was fast finishing! Foster's horses really are in dire form.

3.25 Musselburgh - Boudica Bay is a decent C&D winner of higher marks. Has won from this draw before by keeping close up on the outside, so Phil Dennis better not do anything mental. Horse is definately in form. Was slightly outpaced in last race but then kept of strongly before being really badly hampered. Hard to say if would have won, but given has won off higher marks has got to go very close today. Only concern is trainer form.

4.15 Punchestown - Jungle Junction is on the upgrade and surely rate higher than hurdles mark. Harrington on fire and with Exit Poll a NR, perhaps very keen on this one. The more speculative is Kildorrey. Decent C&D winner, will love the ground and perhaps that last race against 140+ nags shows good form and well handicapped? Be great to grab a place. Will be tough of course with Entoucas and Sully D'Oc both who I backed last time and hit the crossbar! If Polished Steel bounces back to form could reall;y outrun odd, but a big if.

 Yesterday was a total disaster.

I upped stakes.

I backed without the usual checks.

I followed money and backed blindly.

I chased.

Antepost bets took a turn for the worse.

I've done this about 5 times in the last few years, but I really need a big phat RESET and start to find discipline again as I'm hemorrhaging dollars again. 

I'll take the PnL back to beginning of year (my last RESET) and go from there.

Supremacy 6/1 runs today which ought to give indication of chances for the Commonwealth. Essential Quality 8/1 runs in the Kentucky Derby at the weekend and backed into 9/4. Battleground 50/1 runs in the 2k gunieass although right now I think I'm more drawn to Wembley.

Ascot - Stradivsrius may well not win on comeback after last two runs, but is the best on best form. Nayef Road will make it very hard. Supremacy I expect to win even if not fully wound up for the race. Haqeeqy is so unexposed and should improve further to win again.

Odds prohibitive o will just back the treble.

 Pretty happy with how it all worked out yesterday.

Her Indoors somewhat justified my strong fancy for it at the festival and won well enough at 7/1. Bellosa hosed up at 9/2. Summerhand, Oxted and Emeatty Ana finished 123 even though didnt place a bet and Master of The Seas looked class despite a horrible passage.

Newbury 1.40 - The form is Came from the Dark and surely goes close. Given is 5f I don't think many have a chance. The one I want to bounce back to form is Tis MArvellous. A major drfiter to 12/1 might signify something amiss, but if runs to the Dubai Internaional form over C&D has a really strong chance.

Newbury 2.15 - GOing back to Jul 2018 JLT over C&D Cleonte looked really unlucky in running. Maybe woulnt have beaten Stratum, but horse is in great form and can win off this mark for sure. I thoght about Hocfiled, but II'm not sure really stays this distance. This is far from an easy race to call unless you go through in masses of detail. Solo Saxophone was routling home last time and could be another to go well. The Gosden nag is totally unexposed but trip unknown

Given I'm so keen on Supremcy for the COmmonwealth why I did not back Tactical yesterday I'll never know. I also backed the runners high without knowing the draw had moved (Schoolboy error)

2.05 Chelts - Scholatisc is chucked in here and some. Clearly the big concern is ran only 10 days ago.

I was pretty keen on Her Indoors at Chelts but was a big flop. I don't know if was the quicker ground or the track or whether just wasn't as well handicapped as I thought. I'm not one to back a horse at Chelts after has run poorly there before.

1.50 Newmarket - Interesting. Creative Force looks well handicapped, but maybe the rail helped on debut. Was absolutley cruising in the Coventry but found nothing, and maybe up the centre was not the place to be. Two maybes to think through. Rohaan is the major improver but I can't translate it to turf. For me, Bravado is a decent ew bet here. Will try to make all and go close. I think Signifcantly on the insde might be a threat as looks well handciapped but I can't work out what Clifford Lee will do here. Hopefully misses the break :)

3.00 Newmarket -  I want to try tske Oxted on, but given nealry a stone clear on ratings not worth it. The each way is only 2 places and prices without are naff. Summerhand is in great form but given likes to be held up could be left too much to do given the likley pace, but realisitcally the likliest condentor btu can't discount a few of these especially Emaratty Ana who looked really good last time out and ran well enough in this race last year, but needed to be closer to the rail.

3.35 Newmarket - This is excting and surely it's between Devilwala and Master of The Seas? either one of them winning franks the form of the gusineas head of markett. Mast of the Seas who I had on the Superaltive Stakes last year looked very very good and was my pick for soemething like the Craven. He just needs to settle better surley and that's why the hood in on. If thsat works can't see it beaten. Naval Crown ran very well yesterday so all good on form.

Devilwala is top rated and and will make all. GIven has the rail draw is not out of it, btu I epxect MOTS to track very closely and romp home.

Considering how much I normally look at the draw to totally forget about it yesterday was shocking. The rail made a lot of difference. Maxi was held up and had no chance from the position, ROyal Champion never looked like winning but Secrteinthepark I'm convinced was only beaten by the draw.

 Hit a 22/1 & 3/1 double yesterday (and didn't blog) LOL. Maybe this really is a jinx :)

1.45 - I had backed Uknowatimenaharry and Janika at Chelts and they ran well enough, but most horses from the Chelts festival, unless they had a relatively easy race (generally) are not performing as well. Granted it's a different track as well. Either way will be livid if either of these win :)

Right a huge shortlist:

• Tea Clipper has the best form my a long shot, but how much did Chelts take it out of the horse?
• Jai Froid is improving fast and bolted in again last time, but how good can it really be to win a race like this with anohter 13b rise?
• Ashdown Lad potentially well handicapped based on race at Uttoexter, but poor last two time
• Kid Commando running really well in defeat at this distacnce. Won PTP at 3m so could be a bit of a plot here
• Tommy Rapper not stayer over way too far. A really solid 2nd 2year backs and condtions will suit today

Dropped 6lb since last race, draw is good enough, Fell had a decent enough day yesterday, is a C&D winner, Curtis back onnboard and has been some money for this. All points to a good run I hope
