Bets 27/12/2015

Boxing day flirts with the racing; not necessary.

12.10 Leopardstown - Let's Dance 5/6 (Paddy Power; who give money back if 2nd). Everything else looks awful or won't like the ground and this one has been backed from 20/1 - 12/1 over last fews days for Triumph so must be expected to win easy today, unless it's a bookie trap?!

12.50 Kempton - Already a Listed winner; Favorito Bucks 15/8

1.15 Leopardstown - UDC 1/3. Fences the only opponents but not backing

1.25 Kempton - Segal has picked Arzgal. I'm not up for it. Moore horses excel at Sandown so taking on Ar Mad. Arzal not really beaten much in my view/ Vaniteux 10/11 is close to the top rank and was solid last time out over C&D.

1.40 Chelmsford - I had a quick look through all races here and this stands out at 15/8 as looks well ahead of mark; Belrog and Aumerle will follow him home. In Oisin I trust not to let the claimer beat him today.

1.45 Leopardstown -  Fats tells me not to punt in this as is minefield. I agree, except Tombstone 10/3 mullered Pylonthepressure which makes him rock solid as you follow the form through. Mullins hasn't won this race in the last 6 years so another good reason to back against his army.

2.00 Kempton - Sprinter Sacre 4/6 especially after Hendo knocked home some winners yesterday

Bets 26/12/2015

I was excited today, but now not so. Not great racing and the ground will screw everything. I've whacked the stats out and then matched em to some random races.

12.45 Huntingdon - Imada 6/4 - Nicky runner landed me huge pot last time out, so lets go with the form yard.

12.50 Kempton - Altior 11/8 looks decent enough

1.25 Kempton - Sirabad 5/1 has the formlines from what I can see

2.05 Fontwell - Makethedifference 11/2

2.35 Kempton - Faugheen 1/3 shouldnt lose.

3.10 Kempton - One of the best line ups I've seen since the Kauto/Denman days. There are so many bookies take the favourite on suspect they have their reasons to take on the top rated by 3lb who has conditions to suit so Don Cossack 5/2. Def not a banker but why oppose the best horse in race.

3.20 Market Rasen - Touch Back 6/1 Cheekpieces back on, back in trip, big claim, big chance

3.25 Wincanton - Minella Definately 7/1

3.30 Sedgefield - Storm Forecast 11/4. Trained gave this tip last week

3.45 Kempton - Max Forte 16/1

Bets 18/12/2015

I really miss Tapeta at Meydan. Just ridiculous it's not there anymore. Was huge money making angles and was the only thing that got me out of jail during the jumps :)

12.50 - Fly Du Charmil 7/4 was 4/1 yesterday so suspect is decent. 117 on flat debut, must be

1.20 Ascot - Ozzy Thomas looks unlucky to have been beaten twice by decent handicappers and form tied back to Old Guard. I think will win, but still I oppose. Dusky Lark 6/1. Drop back in trip will suit a lot and looks a workable mark

1.55 Ascot - Yarnworth shouldn't lose this so why do I want to oppose him. Not sure. Maybe it's the price at 1/3. Either way, All Set To Go 7/1

2.30 Ascot - Really tough but I edge for Le Mercurey 9/4. was a 137 when 3yrs old. I suspect is decent.

Thursday 17 December 2015

Bets 17/12/2015

Meydan 3.35 - Depends who is fit. Chance Nolohay 3/1 who might have more improvement in him at 4yr but Layl is the one proven at higher level. hmm

Meydan 4.45 - Again depends on fitness but despite illegal substances Storm Belt 11/4 is best horse here over C&D

Meydan 5.20 - Muarrab 11/10 has all the formlines

Meydan 5.55 - Famous Warrior 4/1 enough in hand to win this if in good mood

Wednesday 16 December 2015

Bets 16/12/2015

1.15 Newbury - Wait For Me 8/15

3.00 Newbury - 3 horse race but big believer in formlines and if I'm back Wait For Me I have to back Big Chief Benny 9/4

5.40 Kempton - Paris Magic 11/8

1.50 Chelts - Little Jon 10/1, Mozoltov 16/1
2.25 Chelts - Justanother muddle 12/1
3.00 Chelts - Sempre Medici 6/1

Only a few from me. I hate soft ground. I can't win money when it's like this

12.40 Chelts - More of That 3/10 shouldn't lose, but it's a 3 horse race so never know

2.25 Chelts - Unowwhatimenaharry 5/4

2.05 Donny - Who Dares Wins 11/4

3.00 Chelts - Peace and Co 10/11

Tom Pricewise Segal has tipped:

1.15 Newbury - Si C'etait Vrai 9/1
2.40 Newcastle - Final Assualt 13/2, William Money 25/1
3.00 Newbury - Saphir Du Rheu 4/1, Splash of Gingee 50/1

Jumps seasons is still not agreeing with me, no matter how hard I try :)

1.00 Newcastle - Ballydine 15/8

2.25 Newbury - Whisper is the top rated but tends to need run. Cole Harden is the reigning World Hurdle champ and runs well fresh. The rest have a lot to find. Not saying won't win, but a lot to find. Whilst I heart Whisper and think is the best horse I'm going Cole Harden 3/1

3.00 Newbury - Saphir Du Rheu 4/1. Theatre Guide is tres interesting too but SDR is the big one.

3.05 Doncaster - Robins Reef 4/5

3.20 Bangor - Final Nudge 11/8

2.25 Haydock - Our K 14/1
3.15 Ascot - Turn Over Sivola 12/1
3.35 Haydock Toby Lerone 4/1

Ground looks merkle so will screw most races up.

12.55 Ascot - Astigos 7/2

1.50 Haydock - Irving 6/5

2.05 Ascot - Doubt Vatour 4/11 will lose

2.25 Haydock - Alcala 12/1

2.40 Ascot - Formbook and weigths says Brother Tedd 7/4

3.00 Haydock - SC 10/11

3.15 Ascot - Fago 11/2

3.50 Ascot - Mistrel Royal 14/1 or Chiq Rock 3/1

Oh dear, oh dear. Saturday whitewash; that was hard.

Segal has tipped:

2.10 Chelts - Croco Bay 12/1
2.40 Chelts - Renneti 12/1,Suberb Story 10/1

Right time to lose more cash:

1.35 Chelts - Garde La Victoire 4/5 solid course winner and very impressive chase debut.

2.10 Chelts - If Sprintre is back he wins. If not Simply Ned does. I can't bet as don't know on the former. Hmm sod itl lets go SS 11/4.

Run out of time.

Saturday 14 November 2015

Bets 14/11/2015

Okay yesterday. I've levelling all stakes to £30 unless I state and anything 10/1 and under is on the nose.

Pricewise Segal has tipped:

Chelts 1.50 - Upswing 9/1, Cogry 12/1
Chelts 2.25 - Art M 12/1, Buywise 14/1
Chelts 3.00 - Job is Right 9/1
Lingfield 3.10 - Battalion 8/1

My go....

Chelts 12.40 - Interesting that Fingertips would beat Romain De Senam with 2lbs less last time they met, but I think this all depends on the weather. Right now it's GS/G so it likely to be GS at the off which means RDS 7/4 gets the vote. King likes Oceane but not sure how good he is and suspect ground turns against him and as it does for Wolf of W but doesn't turn enough for Fingertips. With Nicholls farming this race RDS is it.

Chelts 1.15 - The obvious one is Un Temps Pour Tout. G1 Hurdles winner. However I'm not 100% convinced about today. Pipe is not is good nick. Blinkers are off?! It's a chase debut though reports put that aside and there is strong competition. Blaklion bolted up at Chelts last year over this distance and is main threat. Twelve Roses looks an RSA type if progresses. So whilst I will back UTPT 11/10 I won't be surprised if loses out today. Can't see any money for him AP at Chelts Festival either.

Chelts 1.50 - Not enough time to get through this today with enough conviction. If Godsmejudge if fit again 33/1 e/w is huge price but I have an Audacious Plan 10/1 looks good value with the extra distance sure to help. Cogry is Segals pick which I think is not bad too.

Lingfield 2.00 - I heart the AW Champs. Did really well. It's all about C&D here but all about merkage on the inside rail too. Revolunist 5/2 £lummmp (shhhh...). Think Shyron will struggle at trip

Chelts 2.25 - I suspect it's worth waiting till closer till the off on this, but I won't be able to and I'm pining hopes to Kings Palace 15/2. He is used to carrying this weight. Irish Cav was a big win at festival for me last year, but I think too high in weights now, but Art M's form and reversal of weights against Irish does make him a strong contender and that's why Segal must have picked him out. Monetaire 12/1 was surely my unluckiest loser of last year's festival and still might well nail this. Boondooma interesting but not fully convinced.

Chelts 3.00 - I think Dark Spirit has gone up too much in the weights now, maybe. So Fine is tempting; Hobbs loves a comeback but not convinced he gets the hill. Easter Day looks really well handicapped at 16/1 e/w looks value. Bavatir of obviosu interest but not totally convinced

Chelts 3.35 - Coupe De Grace 16/1 e/w

Chelts 4.05 - Toubouggaloo 15/2

Friday 13 November 2015

Bets 13/11/2015

Tom Pricewise Segal from the Racingpost has tipped:

1.05 Cheltenham - The Clock Leary 10/1
2.50 Cheltenham - Josies Orders 5/1

Chelts 1.05 - I have 4 on my list which I can't decide upon. Lough Kent bolted up two races ago but hard to know how good the form is and looked merked up the hill on last Chelts run. The Clock Leary who Segal has latched onto, but is coming back from injury. Then there's La Vaticane 4/1 who just has to be backed (£50). Looks like a Pipe hotpot this one. Minella Present 8/1 £25 e/w looks well handicapped as well.

Chelts 1.40 - More of That 9/4 £50 is a World Hurdle winner and I hope he is back and takes to fences

Chelts 2.15 Penglai Pavilion 5/4 £50 looks decent enough, but I hate tactical 4 horse races. Always fail :)

Chelts 2.50 - Segal has picked Josies Order. Not fully convinced. Last years XC runner should technically all finish in a line but no idea how fit any of them are. Any Currency has had a prep race but I'm going with Dogora 17/2 £25 e/w. If Ms Walsh races a bit closer to the action think has a decent chance especially as has age onside.

Bets 17/10/2015

The going is good to soft. If it becomes good then I’m potentially stuffed as that’s what I’m basing my punts on. All week I’ve been saying Solow, Hobbs and Muharrar. I’m not as convinced now.

12.45 Ascot –Forgotten Rules won this last year and beat the unpredictable Pallastor and Flying Officer. Still don’t think Clever Cookie good enough. Gale Force too much to find surely as does Amour De Nuit. Simenon needs further. Hidden Gold didn’t show enough over C&D for me. Suegioo not a G2 horse and Forgotten beats him using Pallastor as marker. Marker applies to Clondaw Warrior but this one bounces in and out of form and won at royal meeting. I can’t take the Ebor form seriously after Litigant won it so can’t back him. Wicklow really let me down at Ascot last time and from the jokes Ebor form line. That leaves Agent Murphy with Forgotten Rules. I’m watching the Irish St. Leger replay and Forgotten Rules cruised into contention the last of the bridle and 2m is far more up street and I just hope ground has enough toe in it. Whilst Agent Murphy also has course form has to be £100 Forgotten Rules 6/1 e/w (WH paying 4 places) £25 e/w Clondaw Warrior 22/1

1.20 Ascot – Muharrar has drifted to 3/1. Can’t be a good sign. God damnit. Hmm no idea where t look now. I’ve just drawn a line through those with average form slower than good (at my own risk). Lightening Moon 25/1 £100 e/w. Was smart last year. I’m hoping bounces back over a winning C&D. Twinlight Son doesn’t have the Ascot form I want to see. Danzeno beaten by LM. I’m going to back a horse the other end of draw too. Last years winner Gordon Lord Byron 25 £100 e/w.

1.55 Ascot – I’m not overly convinced about the St. Leger form, so have to pass on Simple Verse and I reckon needs further than this. Had a sweet £200 on Madame Chiang at 12/1 when won this last year, but ground not soft enough today. I’ve not done well with Palmers horses this year and when backed Covert Love over this distance didn’t work out. From that race Sea Calisi does stand out though. Beautiful Romance doesn’t look good enough on paper or does Lady Tiana or Speedy Borading. Arabian Queen did beat Golden Balls yes but not at this distance although 18/1 does seem ridiculous. No point trying to work out Tapestry and AOB. Won the Oaks last year so this is def right trip, but not raced on slower than good before. Then there’s Candarliya who beat Sea Calisi last time. SC has had a break, but Cand didn’t have a hard race, might have a better draw and arguably better jockey so wins my vote; £100 Candarliya 5/1 e/w and you don’t win a Listed race against 100 horses by 8 lenghts and not get backed; £100 Journey 8/1 e/w who looked mighty impressive last two outings.

3.05 Ascot – Again was all over Jack Hobbs but the drift worries me. I heart Weld at Ascot and I reckon Fascinating Rock 16/1 £100 e/w is awesome value. Hobbs is back in trip and not sure right answer. Found 9/2 £100 e/w def next best option

3.45 Ascot – Don’t think Britannia form that good so line through Sacrifical. Bronze Angel surely too high in weights, Merry Me not handicapped well. Master of World race too soon and Ascot form not good enough. Be surprised if Fahey does it again with either Rene or Farlow. Too far for Professor. Belgian too high in weights. Empire Storm not good enough. Chil The Kite needs it quicker. Ayaar does look good enough. Gabrials Lad is tempting but not sure about the mile and up again in weights. Fort Basiton and Spark Plug look beat. I’m left with Musaddas, GM Hopkins, Balty Boys and Halation. It will clearly all depend on draw as Balty Boys knows too well. £100 e/w 25/1 Halation. Solid C&D winner and ignoring last run. This one hopefully on upgrade. Musaddas doesn’t have the Ascot form I want to see. Balty Boys is high in weights so going with Buckstay 9/1 £100 e/w  and GM Hopkins 12/1 £100 e/w

I’ve probably gone too far from the obvious and having a few accs with the top rated and top of market horses

Bets 16/10/2015

On the Flat...

2.35 Haydock - Tiger Jim 4/1 masssssive chance. Go Far upheld the form.

3.45 Haydock - Mitchum Swagger 6/4 romped over C&D last time consider not a clear passage. Ought to take advantage of 3yr old allowance here.

4.20 Haydock - Arlecchnino's Rock 7/1 e/w. Whilst nowhere near Log Out, Gifted Master, Buranito on debut, it's still good form off this mark and ran really well last time out behind a horse (Hope Cove) who was hacked before the off yesterday.

Jumps....

2.15 Fakenham - Valentino Oyster 14/1 e/w. Gets the trip. Trainer interesting switch.

2.50 Fakenahm - Hammserley Lake 11/10. Katgary was dire over fences so give HL a chance over K.

4.00 Fakeham - Knock House 6/4. solid course winner, solid form, has run well after break. Big chance.

3.50 Newmarket - Heartbreak City, Wordiness

Really quickly today....

2.00 Newmarket - Our Joy 14/1 e/w

2.35 Newmarket - Beacon Rock 10/3

2.50 York - Gracious John 3/1

3.10 Newmaket - Emotionless 6/4

If I ever doubted I had no self control when it's come to punting, here is it. Slapping random amounts of dollar with no research. This sometime also shows research is a waste of time! HA!!!

Anyway awesome racing today. Tom Pricewise Segal from the Racingpost has tipped:

1.35 Newmarket - Zebstar 16/1
2.05 Newmarket - Tutu Nguru 10/1
2.20 York - Gabrial's Kaka 10/1
2.40 Newmarket - Coultsy 9/1

My go, but worried about the ground. Hopefully

1.35 Newmarket - Quiet Reflection looks pretty solid but at odds on not sure. A slightly wild punt but I thought Calypso Choir 22/1 e/w looked awesome on debut and Kirk thinks is solid filly.

2.05 Newmarket - Hmmm. Tutu has great chance, but Queens Trust 3/1 was really really impressive on debut and totally unexposed

2.40 Newmarket - Markaz 11/2 e/w on all known formline and course form

3.10 Newmarket - Hmmm. Again. AOB will probably win this, but Nathra 7/2 looked awesome on only 2nd run. Marenko 33/1 e/w is huge outsider

3.45 Newmarket. Hmmm. Again. Tough. Not Never 10/1 e/w

4.15 Newmarket - Vaunting 6/1 e/w

4.45 Newmarket - It's tough racing today. Crystal Zveda 11/4 is best horse here and has no excuses.
--

1.45 York - Young John 12/1 e/w

2.20 York - Fahey says Gabrials Kaka is best handicapped horse in yard which is why Segal has backed him. Surely if you were Fahey you'd put JG on GK to make sure, but instead is on Spirit of the Law 10/1 e/w my pick, but You're fired could also hit the jackpot

3.35 York - Artic Feeling 5/1 e/w

4.25 York - Carenot 2/1

4.55 York - Zachnthus 8/1 e/w

I think I just need to accept my punting days are over until the newborn gets into a sleeping pattern or I get a 9-5 job, but I'll keep plugging away and maybe try to focus on a handful of races instead:

2.00 Ascot - Zeb Un Nisa 25/1 e/w if you ignore come back run has so much form

2.35 Ascot - Star Storm 5/1 e/w solid 3yr allowance. Looks hugely unexposed

3.10 Ascot - I agree with Segal; Justice Good 20/1 e/w Backed couple times this season. I want a win now please; overdue

Bets 29/09/2015

I wasnt going to bet today but FOMO (fear of missing out) got me again. One day i will learn better to miss an opp than waste money of blind punts. I know I can nail it when I have the time but I just get frustrated work stops me from punting. Maybe I can crowd source my salary from people who want me just to tip :) anyone up for it? Ha..

Anyway another set of blind bets....
Ayr - Eagle empire 9/1, cirtious 6/1, rodrigo torres 12/1
Sedge - Backup plan 11/8, short take 9/4, fishy story 11/10

Wowzers i have now just seen third time lucky previous run. Had I have seen that before would have been a pretty obvious this horse is a whack ahead of mark, but alas tried to punt in 45 mins using phone in a hurry. I also broke the £20 bets. Hit a ton on Foundation and then got excited and hit a ton on artful prince. Would have been a disaster if Sanchez did not smash it yesterday...

Anyway, im going mental today as a result and of course will regret it but its the time of year AOB starts smashing it so

Nearly ripped a big hole in the bookies yesterday with my Newmarket acca. In Manc today so I have 45 minutes only whilst it's feeding time for baby...

Tom Pricewise Segal from the RP has tipped:

2.00 Newmarket - Muntazah 14/1
3.50 Newmarket - Musaddas 25/1, Portage 12/1

3.15 Ripon - Move Up 7/2

3.40 Chester - Central Squear 4/6

3.50 Newmarket - Feck. Tough and not enough time to look. Portage good pick by Segal, should get a place but price smashed now and not convinced is strong form but I don't know Irish form but backed so hard have to back it. Abseil 14/1 has to come good soon, maybe today? Nafaqa 28/1 down in class good chance and 300/1 e/w on Artful Prince off this weight on a track has run bets race in career worth a pop, but chances really are slim. Hoping for 5th place.

4.30 Haydock - Loving Things 11/10

18/1 winner kept the ball rolling yesterday and it was the first time I agreed with Segal in about 3 months so was a double bet. Happy days.

Tom Pricewise Segal has tipped:

3.05 Curragh - Pearl Secret 20/1
3.40 Curragh - Blue Bayan 7/1

Bets 12/09/2015

Over the last year I've constantly caveated my punts with I don't have enough time to research... I look back to couple years ago when I smashed 2-3 hours a day, Ascot this year when I took a week off work and this last week and there's no coincidence the results improve. I've never ever had a day like Thursday with 5/2, 33/1, 5/1, 10/1, 9/4, 8/13 winners, a 12/1 placed and only 50/1, 6/5 and 33/1 losers. If I were punting my usual stakes I'd see £10k in the bank and with a few my crazy accs potentially £100k, but my new reserved sensible punting I only took £1k. I'll take it; I can't be too annoyed, can I?

Tom Pricewise Segal from the Racingpost has tipped:

2.35 Doncaster - Highland Acclaim 10/1, Steps 18/1
3.45 Doncaster - Vengeur Masque 20/1
5.45 Leopardstown - Found 7/1

It's the wife's birthday today so limited again by time and also no idea how much the rain could impact the racing today, but a few punts:

2.00 Doncaster - Emotionless £60.00 4/5 - This horse is class, but still might get done my a more experienced one. Buick was very complimentary about the horse.

2.35 Doncaster - I think Steps 18/1 £10.00 e/w is a good pick by Segal. If the visor helps him get a good start will go very close. Suzi Connisseur 12/1 £10.00 e/w was so unlucky last time, but I feel this is more a revenge bet for me

3.10 Doncaster - Home of the Brave 11/2 £10.00 e/w tentatively not looked at card properly

4.55 Doncaster - Ayaar £10.00 7/1 e/w

5.30 Doncaster - Monsarrat 3/1 £20.00 but not overly strong bet

Bets 10/09/2015

4/6 again yesterday and one was a 14/1 so happy days.

Tom Pricewise Segal from the Racingpost has tipped:

2.30 Doncaster - Fadhayyil 4/1
3.40 Doncaster - Holy Grail 14/1, Gin in the Inn 20/1

£10.00 singles and £5.00 doubles

1.55 Doncaster - Nemoralia 2/1 £40.00 on form should win. But 19 other 2 year olds mainly unexposed. Tough being top weight but is the best horse. Lavina Rose 33/1 £10.00 e/w has a massive chance at the weights

2.15 Chepstow - Real Smart 6/5 £40.00

2.30 Doncaster - Whilst Fadhayyil is the obvious choice not fully convinced especially at the price now. Realtra 33/1 £10.00 e/w in good nick and solid C&D winner and Muffri'ha 33/1 £10.00 e/w who bolted up last time, beating good yardsicks by a long way has a huge shout. I toyed with Lady Correspondence but has been off too long for me after injury but it's Gosden so could be risky leaving out.

3.05 Doncaster - I think this is between top 3 in the market; Koora, Hidden Gold and Gretchen. At the weights I think Hidden Gold is beaten. Koora has the course form, but I'm going with Gretchen 5/1 £10.00 e/w. I think her pace maker will make this a proper test and will suit Gretchen better

3.40 Doncaster - Hmm. ridic too hard. Justice Lass 50/1 £10.00 e/w too big price

4.15 Doncaster - California 9/4 £20.00 but certainly no banker

4.50 Doncaster - Another tough one. Blue Waltz 7/1 £10.00 e/w

5.25 Doncaster - Very Talented 8/13 £20.00

5.40 Chelmsford - Evacusafe Lady 12/1 £10.00 e/w

2.30 Doncaster - Venturous 11/8 £20.00 - looks decent

4.10 Doncaster - Sulaataat 14/1 £10.00 e/w - if reproduces Ascot form and the blinkers sharpen up solid chance

5.15 Doncaster - Elhaame 10/11 £20.00 - Best chance biut 3 horse race might not play to tactics

6.50 Kempton - Duet 25/1 £10.00 e/w - Long shot but step up will help massively and maybe under radar

3.30 Leicester - Irish Hawke 6/1 £10.00 e/w - have to ignore last race is on good mark if steps forward today

4.00 Leicester - Justice Day 6/4 £20.00 - top rated good chance

5.40 Perth - Lajool 11/8 £20.00 - Fergy banging them in and this horse is a decent flat horse

7.10 Perth - Border Breaker 11/4 £20.00 - on a good mark and will like right handed circuit

How I only broke even yesterday is beyond me. Had the Suzi Connisueur race been in France I would have been awarded the 14/1 winner instead of second. I think it's totally bonkers SC was not awarded that race. Watch it for yourself it's a total joke. Duretto 10/1 deadheated a win and Charles Molson 14/1 stormed home too late to take only second. Anyhow that's racing!

Tom Pricewise Segal has tipped 2 today:

3.00 York - Fort Del Oro 13/8
5.10 York - Nonchalant 9/1

£10.00 on both and £5.00 double

2.30 York - Cosmic Halo 14/1 £10.00 e/w for the hatrick in this race. Mark is feasible and ignore last race on AW

3.00 York - Fort Del Oro 6/4 £40.00 at the weights. Likely improvement and Lyman knows what it takes to win races like this. Segal quote will lose a fair bit of money if does not win so must be confident. No form at York against those that do so I can't lump

£10.00 double on above

Tom Pricewise Segal from the Racingpost has tipped:

2.50 Ascot - Field of Dream 12/1
3.10 Haydock - Distant Past 10/1
3.25 Ascot - Duretto 10/1
3.45 Ascot - Danzeno 8/1, Tiggy Wiggy 20/1

Another round of £10 bets and two £2.50 e/w four folds

Ascot 1.40 - Culurati 5/4 £20.00 holds the formbook and lots of money for it.

Ascot 2.15 - Dawn of Hope 5/4 £20.00 has solid form. First two that beat him have been placed in group races.

Kempton 2.20 - Spirit Raiser 5/1 £10.00 e/w Solid C&D form but below 2 massive dangers

R T/C Spirit Raiser, Early Morning, Mutawathea 220/1 £2.50 e/w

Ascot 2.50 Suzis Connoisseaur 13/1 £10.00 e/w with blinkers back on. On winning mark but it's the blinkers that'll do it.

Ascot 3.25 - Antiquarium 17/2 £10/00 e/w should not be bigger than Dartmouth at the weights so has a decent chance. Needs a decent ride as might need slightly further but that's where the slower ground helps

Haydock 3.45 - G Force 17/1 £10.00 e/w won this very easily last year. The C&D suits him perfectly. Adday 7/1 £10.00 e/w obvious chance.

R f/c 80/1 £5 e/w

Ascot 4.00 - Daily Bulletin 9/2 £10.00 e/w is littered with G1 entries

Haydock 4.20 - Vibrant Chords 15/8 £20.00 looks very well in

Ascot 4.45 - Charles Molson 14/1 £10.00 e/w through collateral formlines with Huntsmans Close has a huge chance. Doesn't have Ascot form which concerns me though, but big chance otherwise

Haydock 4.55 - Foundation 11/10 £20.00 Awesome debut and Gosden flying

Kempton 5.45 - New Strategy 5/4 £20.00 solid C&D form

Thankfully back in the winner's enclosure yesterday!

Newcastle 1.50 - Spanish City 4/6 £20.00 best form by a fair way

Ascot 3.10 - Indian Monsoon 7/2 £20.00. Interesting formline and think will prefer soft ground.

Haydock 4.40 - Think Ahead 2/1 £20.00 Well backed last time so well thought off and trip is ideal.

Ascot 4.55 - Pallister 9/2 £20.00 wins at the weights. Has some decent juvenile form. Fanshawe horses raking home at the mo but will take it on.

Kempton 6.55 - Nokahda 25/1 £10.00 e/w, 11/1 £15.00 e/w. SBS has only had one winning 2yr on debut this year so have to take this one on. I;m going on Pedigree and backing the Haggas horse. Drifted to 25s so backed it again! whoops!

Kempton 7.55 - Plutocray 15/2 £10.00 e/w - Taking on Fanshawe again. Landwade bolted in last time but was slow pace. Is going to be a decent pace in this and will suit Pluto who is class on day and still on good mark.

72 hours later, 5 hours of sleep and a baby later am pretty delirious in multiple facets. Had the 20/1 acc came in yesterday would have been even more so.

Tom Pricewise Segal from the racingpost has tipped

2.20 Beverley - Line of Reason 6/1
2.50 Newmarket - Intense Tango 15/2, Magic Dancer 14/1
3.25 Newmarket - Naadir 10/1

All £10 singles.

Racing
2.50 Newmarket - Faqhuar 8/1 £10.00 e/w - I am taking on Segal with Farqhaur as sets a very very solid formline at the course.

2.35 Goodwood - Fox Trotter 10/1 £10.00 e/w - 3yr olds wil start doing the business over their elders with their cheeky allowance. Fox Trotter loves it soft, clearly likes Goodwood and has a decent chance. There are always hard luck stories at GW though and if is held up from stall 1 might struggle on the rail but at the other end Jacks Revenge £10.00 e/w 28/1 could run a big race at big price if not left too much to do from wide draw. Back on winning mark

3.25 Newmarket - Portamento 5/1 £10.00 e/w - Again taking on Segal. Portamento could have won listed race last time out but for the draw. Well capable and does not have a listed penalty like Segals pick

5.05 Newmarket - My Dad Syd 5/2 £20.00. Looked very green but a good one in the making when landing last race

£5 e/w four folds x2
£10 treble 140/1 Faqhaur, Portamento, My Dad Syd

Right better get back to the kid. BHA Handicap system takes a while to teach :)

Football

Usain certainly did not disappoint yesterday! Speith started well and then crashed. I put another score like I said but I don't fancy him anymore after watching a few highlights....

Newmarket 2.00 - Promising Run Evs £20.00 - Looked pretty good on debut and was well backed so hoping good sign

Newmarket 4.15 - Dasaaster 10/1 £10.00 e/w - Best run was over C&D so looks a good chance

£10.00 double on the above. It's weird betting stakes this small but let's stick with it for now

Barclays winner - Speith 21/1 £20.00

The Blog Revival - Ban Jay Desai, Ban Him!

Over the last few years I've had a lot of fun writing this blog, albeit recently I'm not sure I could class it as writing. I know definitively how much I won every day for the first 12 months; £21,420.59!! A few months later topped it up with £36k at Ascot and then my P&L tracking slowly fades away and just how much of the profit I've depleted since I don't know; I'm scared to find out. I do know all of the money has been lavished on a car, a wedding and some extravagant holidays....

Whilst this blog covers just the gee gees I've raked in thousands on golf and footy scorecasts, although if I'm honest over the years I'm sure I would be down in these sports. Again, I just don't know.

This week I'm going to be a first time daddy and will be starting a new role at work shortly, which means firstly I need to be more responsible with cash and secondly and more importantly for the blog I'm going to have some time to get back in control of punting due to less hours at work.

I'm starting small again and I'm tracking EVERYTHING, every sport, every penny. Bookies, watch your back, innit....

Time to get banned again.

Athletics
200m Winner - Usain Bolt - 1/2 £20.00. He may not have won the 100m if it was not handed to him, but there's no doubt in my mind the 200m title is his even if not handed to him

Golf
The Barclays - Jordan Speith 11/2 £20.00. I figured Day might be tired, I toyed with DJ but couldn't commit and Koepka I nearly backed again but maybe next year for him as still inconsistent. Jordan is really short and if he has a bad 1st day I will probably whack a bit more on if hits 12/1ish, but does surely have the best chance.

Bets 22/08/2015 - Ebor Day 4

Pretty good day yesterday as well and again avoiding Segal worked a treat.

Sandown 1.45 - Montaicino 8/1 e/w

York 2.00 - Tough for 3yrs olds so rule out Convey. GM Hopkins beats Basem on form and had impossible draw last time. Don't think Mondialist is good enough. Top Notch is good but I don;t think that good in comparison to others in this field. Mashoob was really put into his place last time out and def needs 10f. This is a mile and GM Hopkins 10/1 looks a huge price e/w. I think Mutakayyef 9/1 will find it hard from return but Haggas trains him so ignore at peril.

Chester 2.20 - Ring of Truth 5/2.

York 2.35 - Tough but one who does not have to prove stamina it is Dannyday 12/1. I reckon this one could outstay the pack and the MJ horse setting the pace

Chester 2.55 - Gold Trail 4/1

York 3.10 - Hmm. This is really tough. Areen is of interest as Ryan does well in this race, a solid course winner and very close to Washington DC at Royal Ascot, but latest race Ajaya beat him well enough last time out. Finnegan could be special but had a bout of colic so who knows. This is hard. I think I have to go with the Haggas factor, but not the obvious one. I go Raucous 9/1. Unbeaten solid form and after only 2 race beat a 101 rated horse. Could improve by leaps.

York 3.45 - I've been backing Arabian Comet 20/1 in vain for last few races, but now in handicap has a huge chance. Another Haggas horse I know but big chance. Angel Gabrial and Suegio might run well at big price but they all have Quick Jack and C Warrior to beat. I think Quick Jack 7/1 is the better bet at the price and form lines hugely franked

York 4.20 - Ornate 10/11 looked awesome on only 2nd run. This will be tough though against much more experienced horses.

York 4.55 - Tough again. Munaaser 8/1 good draw and step up looks like iw what he wants and solid form. Elhaame 8/1 one the best handicap form. SBS horses running well but toughish draw

York 5.25 - No imagination. Scent of Summer 3/1.

Bath 5.30 - Faery Song 3/1

Bath 6.00 - Sequester 3/1

Bets 21/08/2015 - Ebor Day 3

More positive punting yesterday and again avoided Segal and watched another handful of his bets flop. No plans to follow today either.

York 1.55 - I'm convinced you need to be in the lower half of the draw to do well in this so takes out a number of my options. Mistrioc looks a suspect stayer. Chancery has a huge chance. Always runs well here when drawn well. I just wonder whether backing after last week is wise and 96 is pretty high for him. Hmm. Libran 12/1 looked unluckyish last time out but then again did get put up 4lb. that form is rock solid though and is a C&D winner. Having a few cheeky quid on Random Note 33/1 a good old boy who was once 117 rated. Pearl Castle 25/1 if bounces back to form wins this as is worth risking nothing major went wrong last time out.

York 2.30 - I like cookies but I'm not the biggest fan of Clever at this grade. Was truly put into place at Ascot so will look elsewhere. Trip to Paris s solid but has a penalty. Mizzou 5/1 beats Hidden Gold and Vent Du Force on previous form so gets my bet. For all the hype of Quest for More, Max Dynamite 12/1 gets a few quid too.

York 3.05 - Bloody hell. Keep it simple. Tanzeel 11/1 won be shed loads last time out. Ran better than on paper. Course winner, lightly raced in form. Nagging doubt is one time on GS ran very badly. The ground is drying out I hope....

York 3.40 - Acapulco 9/4 gets a 27lb allowance. That equates to letting her start 9 lengths ahead of the field. She ain't an ordinary 2yr old. Doubts must be the ground and the York track which some horses just don't go on. Sole Power gets a few quid on the place. 11/1 is massive though if you don't fancy the US beastress and with Haggas smashing them in Muthmir is going to go really well. Qatar Racing have to lively chances and I did back them both antepost (Pearl 50/1 and Wind 66/1) I'm sticking with Acapulco as bet for today. The weight allowance is too much.....

York 4.55 - Will Haggas form get home from the poor draw. Maybe, but I think will be a Supreme Occasion 33/1 when he bowls home. Got a lot of experience for a 3yr and whilst exposed the races tend to shoe 8f GS will be optimum.

Thursday 20 August 2015

Bets 20/08/2015 - Ebor Day 2

Standard carnage yesterday although some were pretty achievable. I ignored Segal yesterday which was a good choice. He has had only 1 winner in nearly 60 bets.

1.55 - Mayfair Lady won from high draw yesterday so Tasleet 2/1 if is the best horse (and ratings say 3lengths clear) then should win. Concerns - loads of unexposed 2 year olds, the ground soft and it's York. No banker.

2.30 - Ladbrokes are offering 2/1 on Lumiere. MJ says solid horse but is realistic about challenge and I think it's a fair comment. If Besharah 9/2 improves again it would take something very special to to produce 110+ on only second race. So I'm going e/w on Beshhy.

3.05 - So many could win this, but I'm taking the easy option. Mange All 6/1 e/w. I had a huge bet last time out and was payback.

3.40 - Covert Love 3/1 has the form and has won here. No reason to oppose.

4.20 - Looking for a 3yr old winner. Hot Sauce trainer is bad nick else would have backed her at huge price. Yarrow too much to prove. Suffused hard race last week. Melodious not good enough. Marlet might be better on AW but I think the draw is important in this race so Koora 8/1 get's my vote. Amaze me 100/1 e/w might amaze some

4.55 - Sprangled 4/1

Wednesday 19 August 2015

Bets 19/08/2015 - Ebor Day 1

York. I'm basing everything on Good to soft. If it's not good to soft the reporters can DO ONE>>>> I've been done over by going reports so many times this year.

1.55 - Wow. So, I started going through each horse to check for course form. Half way through and 6 have a chance in my C&D book. Hmmm. Distant Past 14/1. Split to MJ horses on soft last time and it's good form. Ryan nails this race so solid chance. Indescribale has not got great form on softer ground, else would have been a solid bet.

Higland Acclaim over 6f would win now he is back to form but I have doubts about 5f, although O'Meara may have targeted this. Bogart has obvious chances as always here. Old boy Tangerine Trees could have a shout of this mark too. I think Barnet Fair needs longer.

At the other end of draw from Distant Past, Artic Feeling 33/1 has a good shout on course and distance form and ran really well a few days ago. Fahey wouldn't run him if not ready.

And down the middle Shore Step 12/1, back in trip might be the answer as running well in defeat a few times and think the ground more to liking

2.30 - Hmm. I always look for a horse that won last race very easily, and was eased down. There is one today in Big Bang Bong 10/1. Barron reckons this horse could be special and who am I to argue

3.05 - Bloody AOB 3 horses. Any of them could win. Storm the Stars has been a fair way off the best so might be one lurking here. Reckon it's Tashaar 9/2. Looks awesome.

3.40 - Golden Horn 4/6 is 7lb clear on ratings. If Gleneagles pulls it off then fair play, but with ground concerns has to be GH

4.55 - Dark Defender 14/1 on C&D form and Whitman 8/1 on form.

Bets 08/08/2015

Segal is on holiday, and quite frankly he needs it. Like me shocking couple of months only really saved by one big Saturday and one big bet.

Few minor bets. Hard day.....

Haydock 1.50 - Si Senor 4/1 e/w

Newmarket 2.00 - Equivocal 9/4

Ascot 2.05 - Xinbama 11/2 e/w. Avoiding the rest of Ascot as I never do well in Shergar Cup

Haydock 2.20 - Festive Fare 8/1 e/w or Rembrandt Van Rijn 5/1 e/w r f/

Newmarket 3.05 - We've had this conversation before. Rene Mathis 6/1 runs half stone better here

Haydock 3.25 - No idea. Bold Lass 4/1 e/w or Realtra 16/1 e/w

Newmarket 3.35 - Hawksmoor back for another slice

Haydock 4.00 - Wonder Laish 3/1

Newmarket 4.45 - Almohtaseb 13/8

Bets 02/08/2015

From one awesome weekend to one horrid week. Segal must have lost 30 odd bets this week in a row to make matters even worse. Normally he bails me out when I'm having a bad week. Not this one....

3.15 Chester - Portamento 4/1 big chance on C&D form at these weights. Having a big each way.

3.50 Chester - Character Onsie 6/1 big chance on C&D form at these weights. Having a big each way.

5.25 Chester - Unless MJ jocks me, Yet Again 15/8 big chance on C&D form at these weights.

Saturday 1 August 2015

Bets 01/08/2015

Goodwood has been tough this week. Really tough. Segal has been useless and I’m feeling cautious today. Tom Pricewise Segal from the Racingpost has tipped 5 today:
2.00 Goodwood – Rex Imperator 16/1, Shore Step 14/1
3.15 Galway – Elishpour 10/1
3.45 Goodwood – Ninjago 22/1, Toofi 20/1

Lots of punting today, but all half bets. Happy August :)

Goodwood 2.00 – It’s been a while since I’ve strongly agreed with Segal. Today I do. Rex Imperator 14/1 e/w. Top race but good chance. Small e/w on Barnet Fair 16/1 and Brother Tiger 50/1. Jan Van Hoof has interesting form with Maljaa last time out too

Newmarket 2.15 – Fats will back the Frenchy as he says they don’t send them over for nothing. I’m back Gretchen 4/1; top rated, step down in class.

Doncaster 2.20 – Koora 15/8. Experienced and knows goes well at Doncaster

Goodwood 2.35 – Darmouth 11/4 has been backed like can’t lose. Can’t help but have e/w 10/1 on River Dart though, the form is strong as is course form

Newmarket 2.50 – If Tutu Nguru 13/2 doesn’t perform Justice Lass 12/1 e/w has a huge chance. Strong from and good mark

Doncaster 2.55 – Putting Green a double figures is tempting, but I reckon Master of Speed 2/1 is on a good mark. 3rd placed finished 5 lengths behind and then won off 72. MoS on 82 today and could be 90 rated after today.

Goodwood 3.10 – The market for this has to be wrong? Lady of Dubai 6/1 in a C&D winner, clearly still on upgrade and beat Diamondsandrubies who beat Legatissimo. Key is distance.

Newmarket 3.25 – Nemoralia 5/4. Anything that beats her will be very smart

Doncaster 3.30 – Shariff of Nawton 12/1 e/w huge shout on C&D form. I don’t know what’s happened to Elkaayed. Shame as used to be smart, but looks to have lost it. If bounced back would win, but sticking with SoN.

Goodwood 3.45 – Guess what? Again agreeing with Segal on Ninjago 16/1 e/w

Newmarket 4.00 – Khalass 2/1 is well treated.

Thirsk 4.10 – Saigon City 3/1 looks a big price

Doncaster 4.05 – In these types of races you should simply back the top rated horse. In this case it’s Hot Streak then Outback Travellor but I’m being a douche and backing Polybius 7/1. I think HS better over 5 and OT better over 7. A small 7/1 chance Polybius could be better than them over 6f today.

Newmarket 4.35 – Everyone will be pilling into Speculative Bid, but I didn’t like the way he travelled at Newmarket. I might be daft as on all known form he wins doing handstands. However at this time of year I like to start backing 3yr olds in races like this, especially those who ran in group races as a 2yr old. Mukhayyam 10 e/w

Goodwood 4.55 – Surewecan 25/1 e/w ran in the Richmond Stakes here at the weight behind Ivawood. Today SWC is 14lbs lower; albeit has zero current form, but it is MJ.

Newmarket 5.45 – I’m Mister Brightside 7/4 and I love easy money

Goodwood 6.00 – Highland Duke 12/1 e/w massive price based on C&D form.

Friday 31 July 2015

Bets 31/07/2015

Segal has to have a winner soon. Diabolical tips so far. Today he has tipped:

2.35 Goodwood - Moheet 10/1
3.10 Goodwood - Donncha 14/1, Loving Spirit 20/1
3.45 Goodwood - Out Do 7/1
6.50 Galway - Apterix 14/1

Right my go....

Goodwood 2.00 - Connecticut 3/1 won last race by 16 lenghts. It was a Listed race. Cumani knows what it takes to win this race

Goodwood 2.35 - Top rates, best form, step down in class; Latharnach 7/4

Goodwood 3.10 - Not enough time to look through the card. Magci City 16/1, Belgian Bill 20/1 and Munaseer 8/1 could all have a say

Goodwood 3.45 - Cotai Glory 6/1 looks a big price. Could make all and win this.

Goodwood 4.55 - Fadhayyil 11/4

Newmarket 8.40 - Talyani Evs. Free Money?

Thursday 30 July 2015

Bets 30/07/2015 - Glorious Goodwood Day 3

How did I know Highland Reel would win! Jock. Anyhow a few decent winners yesterday so all good.

Today, Tom Pricewise Segal has tipped:

Goodwood 2.05 - Keble 7/1, Spring Offensive 25/1
Goodwood 3.10 - Scotland 14/1
Galway 4.45 - Diakali 6/1, Max Dynamite 25/1

I have 30 minutes today to get through cards, which is not great. Yesterday spend 45 minutes on the last race and nailed Pastoral! Maybe I should quit job and punt?!

Goodwood 2.05 - As I said yesterday it's hard to make all over this distance unless of course you are trained by MJ. I reckon smash in on Reasonant 12/1 on betfair and lay out at some point depending on how brave you feeling. All the others have chances, it's tough. Could see a blanket finish here. I will chance Mustard 8/1 as next best.

Goodwood 2.35 - I never saw the July Stakes, but wow did Shalaa 7/4 look good. You never know if will handle Goodwood or not but this horse is good

Nottingham 2.55 - Middleman 2/1

Goodwood 3.10 - Hmm. Going left field and backing Vive Ma Fille 20/1 e/w. Huge 3yr allowance, MJ trained and that Aloft form is very very good.

Goodwood 3.45 - Arabian Comet 5/1 likes the course. Great chance today. Hidden Gold 10/1 of interest

Goodwood 4.55 - Montsarrat 5/1 for an MJ treble :)

Goodwood 5.30 - Midlander 5/1 for an MJ quad :)

Wednesday 29 July 2015

Bets 29/07/2015 - Glorious Goodwood Day 2

Disaster. Forgot how tough Goodwood can be. The ground was good so I got done by the going and would have had an 8/1 winner had I not been. Had one 6/1 winner, but Segal had another stinker.

Today Segal has tipped:

2.00 Goodwood - Wordiness 12/1, Number One London 25/1
5.30 Galway - Sadler Risk 20/1, Texas Jack 33/1

Right, down to half stakes today....

2.00 Goodwood - Gabrials Star 25/1 e/w has form with Trip to Paris and was flying over 2m2.5f so hope can last the extra 2.5f. Looks a big price. Rosairlie 20/1 e/w also tempting as was close to beating last year's winner Teak when 1lb lower

2.35 Goodwood - I'm fed up of losing money on Highland Reel. Reached 4 figures just with him. So inevitably will win today... However, let's take on. Disegno 6/1 looked unlucky as Ascot last time out and form with Goldern Horn stands out. Space Age 8/1 is not a 96 rated horse. I reckon with 10% improvement today could run to 110 and take this

3.10 Goodwood - I think they'll all struggle to beat Solow. Any number of these could finish behind him, but not one for me to bet it. Fitting if Arod won for Qatar, NOT is solid, Belardo is solid but maybe wants softer, Cougar finished closet to Solow, so too many to pick.

3.45 Goodwood - Pretty disappointing if King of Rooks 5/4 lost. on form should win by 3 lengths plus!

4.55 Goodwood - Sort of race lose all your money. I initially thought nothing could beat Forest Maiden 4/1 as form is rock, but not sure can make all at Goodwood over this distance and this draw. Then I saw Tazffin 7/1 who has even harder rock solid form with Covert Love and Osaila, but then I saw Melrose Abbey 22/1 who could be a nice cheeky plot :) Hmm

5.25 Goodwood - Tough. If I try to rejig performances over C&D Pastoral Player 16/1 e/w has a big shout. Bound to get a strong pace

7.20 Leicester - Almodovar 5/6 is a shooooooo-in. Surely on this mark

Tuesday 28 July 2015

Bets 28/07/2015 - Glorious Goodwood Day 1

Working all week so am going to struggle with in depth research but hopefully remember a few things, like 5/6f low drawn, hold up runners do well, and above this no real draw bias and hold up runners low drawn usually get merked on the inside rail. Hughes and MJ farm Goodwood.

Tom Pricewise Segal from the Racingpost has tipped:

2.00 Goodwood - Zand 9/1
3.10 Goodwood - Ascription 10/1
3.45 Goodwood - Oasis Fantasy 9/1, Montefeltro 22/1
6.50 Galway - Unsinkable

My go....

2.00 Goodwood - Hannon has no runner so focus on MJ. Pah - though which one. On the face of it, low draw front running Sennockian Star 11/1, last years winner who finished closest to Mashoob wins this? The problem I have today is the ground, good to soft, soft in places. Collaboration 9/1 on the ground wins after bolted up at Chester. If the ground is genuinely soft in places then Mount Logan gets ruled out. If I get dicked over by the going reports again and it's not Mount Logan has a serious chance as is a C&D winner and on a very good mark. The other issue is do I back Fire Fighting 16/1 blind just because is MJ?? hmm

2.35 Goodwood - Again not sure about ground but on form Birchwood wins but I can't help backing Galileo Gold 6/1 who has run and won on this ground. I doubt Al Shaqab spent 600k on this horse for no reason

3.10 Goodwood - Again not sure about ground but on form Dutch Connection wins, Toomore also should win, but something says stick with Segal and back Ascription 10/1

3.45 Goodwood - Oasis Fantasy 6/1 has been hammered but I was really keen on Battersea 8/1 last time out and cruised into contention before I hope lack of match fitness kicked in. Using the Old Newton Cup as formguide so many have chances. At the weights Farquhar beats Battersea but I think is a better horse at Haydock. Battersea should beat Notarised at the weights now. Asteronerous keeps improving but Battersea wins at the weights

4.20 Goodwood - Double Up 3/1 is improving but at the weights Top Boy 9/1 is interesting. Double Up beat him by 1.5 lengths and is now 15lb worse off. However I reckon would have been by more if gone all at and also likely DU has improved whereas TB keeps coming up just short. Either way will back both

4.55 Goodwood - Papa Luigi 5/1 must have a good chance with Hughes onboard

5.30 Goodowood - Can't work out why Strong Steps is favourite. Form on turf doesn't look good enough. Ifwecan 8/1 and Francos Secret 25/1 get my vote although lots have chances

Sunday 26 July 2015

Bets 26/07/2015

Landed the 2 big handicaps @ 7/1 and 12/1 yesterday. Something told me to slap £125 e/w and them and have a £125 double....

I had £250 on 3 other horses and the rest £50 - £100 which all flopped except 1, so walked away with £5k profit. About time got back on the road.

4.00 Pontefract - Let's GO 6/4. Looks a brilliant horse in the making but just don't know what the rain is going to do....

Saturday 25 July 2015

Bets 25/07/2015

Best result yesterday was non-runners....

Tom Pricewise Segal from the Racingpost has tipped:

Ascot 3.15 - Brazos 25/1
York 3.30 - Algar Lad 10/1, Highland Acclaim 16/1

Right, need to bounce back today, but I think will be tough especially at Ascot and Newmarket as I struggle with soft ground.

Newmarket 1.55 – Recorder 15/8 looks smart

Newcastle 2.10 - Street Dual 2/1

Newmarket 2.30 – Global Force 7/2 on softer groun on 2nd race of career ran one of best races. Winner at track could improve a lot

Ascot 2.40 - Grand Inquistor 4/1 good form and form on softer ground so good chance

York 2.55 – Love a French raid. Prince Gibraltar 11/4

Newmarket 3.05 – Risen Sun 9/2 again I think might like the soft based on Hamilton run

Ascot 3.15 - Speculative Bid 11/2 maybe should have won at the Royal Meeting. Need luck to get gaps but more than capable of winning again. In case drawbiaw on low numbers Heavens Guest 12/1 ran well last time out and is another solid C&D winner who will love the ground

York 3.30 - If Tanzeel 7/1 takes to York track will win. Following same path as Muthmir but at the price and with no track form I'm tempted to seek alternatives. There are a lot of solid C&D winners so it's not easy. See The Sun 12/1 is knocking on the door and in good form and Willbeme 12/1 ran a blinder over C&D in a G3 race. There are too many others on the short list to mention. Tough race

Newmarket 4.15 – Eqleem 5/2 looks decent, but can’t be a green as was on debut. More than likely won’t be

Salisbury – Use Your Filbert royally did me over last time. 11/4 today can make up for it

Friday 24 July 2015

Bets 24/07/2015

Ascot 1.50 - Dawn of Hope 2/1 has group entry and sounds like a horse full of talent. I love the name :)

Ascot 2.20 - Again the only one with a group entry; Spanish City 4/1

Ascot 3.30 - hmm very tough. I like horses to have won at Ascot before and the top rated of those is Bold Lass 6/1. Evita is the best horse in race and Gosden reckons Yasmeen is group class but big flop at Ascot last time

Ascot 4.05 - I like a lightly raced 3yr who looks ahead of mark and that equals Exosphere 2/1

York 6.00 - Deerfield 11/4 can win off this mark

Newmarket 6.40 - Think Carrington 9/4 best handicapped and proven goes well on the course

York 7.00 - Another group entry Mohab 2/1

York 7.30 - Crystal Zveda 13/8 top rated

Thursday 23 July 2015

Bets 23/07/2015

4.00 Sandown – Indelible Ink 2/1
7.20 Doncaster – The Tin Man 9/4
8.45 Newbury – Serene Beauty 2/1

Saturday 18 July 2015

Bets 18/07/2015

Tom Pricewise Segal from the Racingpost has tipped 4 today:

2.35 Newbury - Fire Fighting 6/1
2.55 Market Rasen - Gioia Di Vita 12/1
3.45 Newbury - Hawatif 12/1
5.50 Curragh - Speedy Boarding 20/1

I don't fancy anything really strongly today, just not feeling a buzz about the races on offer today as focus on IRE. Have a feeling MJ is going to have a good day today.

Newmarket 1.40 - Emirates Skycargo 13/2 solid C&D

Chester 1.50 - Muhadathat 4/6

Newbury 2.00 - Sealife 2/1 beat couple of rated horses pretty easily on debut so ought to be well handicapped as Haggas horses generally improve a wad on 2nd run.

Newmarket 2.15 - Arabian Comet 9/4 got merked on the Goodwood inner last time and maybe should have won that race. Looked to have the better of Dream Child who now carries a penalty. I'll be vexed if Jordan Princess wins this though. Backed her couple times to no avail. Possible was unlucky in the same race as AC. Hmmm.

Newbury 2.35 - Consort 5/4 wins at the weights. They all have a chance in this though so certainly no lumping

Chester 3.00 - Struggling to pick between Make It Up, Prosperous and Enlace. I don't think Enlace stays this far. so maybe 4/1 and 12/1 on the other two respectivley

Newbury 3.10 - Again at the weights Portamento 7/4 should win

Newbury 3.45 - Not a race for me, but if you look at the RPR vs weights then the favourite Excessable 10/3 looks the one to be on. Back to Bond 66/1 e/w as a random pick.

Chester 4.10 - Racing History 11/10 ahead of mark

Newbury 4.20 - Mister Universe 6/1 gets a huge 3year old allowance in this. Whether takes advantage is a different questions but at the weights wins this

Newmarket 5.10 - Don't normally bet in 3 horse races but when you know one will dictate the race from the front less reason to fear; Reasonant 10/11

Curragh 5.15 - Meccas Angel 10/11 is class

Curragh 5.50 - Draw a line through Epsom and Together Forever 12/1 e/w 3 places is really far too big.

Friday 17 July 2015

Bets 17/07/2015

3.05 Newbury - Bella Nouf 5/2 I think is well handicapped

3.40 Newbury - I thought I was going to have a really good chance with Opal Tiara at a big price as Ascot. Madrinho also scuppered a big price win when was on Race Day at 12/1 but the horse that won the most impressively last time out is Tasleet 2/1. Took a while to get the hang of things but when did looked very good

4.55 Haydock - Memorial Day 6/5 form looks good

7.50 Newmarket - Syrian Pearl 7/4 to make amends for last time out defeat

8.25 Newmarket - If Bella Nouf wins, Figmetnt Evs will go off short odds on

Monday 13 July 2015

Bets 11/07/2015

Pretty decent day yesterday. Today Tom Pricewise Segal has tipped:

1.45 York - Gabrials Kaka 20/1
2.10 Ascot - Taajub 20/1
2.20 York - Montaly 10/1
3.10 Newmarket -  Unforgiving Minute 14/1
3.25 York - First Flight 12/1
3.45 Newmarket - Jack Dexter 33/1

So much racing today :)

York 1.45 - 3 on my shortlist; Musaddas 6/1, best handicap form on show, You're Fired 12/1 best current C&D form and Mont Ras but is first run back after a while. On balance will probably have You're Fired 12/1 e/w as main bet.

Newmarket 2.00 - I really can't work out why a C&D winner with solid form is 16/1 - Mutasayyid. Quick Defense 9/1 also big price

Ascot 2.10 - This one is tough and I'm not sure I should bet in it. Son of Africa certainly took my eye but Meadway 16/1 e/w did even more. Unlucky last tiem out on reappearance. If can build on that will go close. Downside is not sure how will perform at Ascot. Worth follong C&D winners but worth a chance this time. Gamesome 9/1 tempting

York 2.20 - Famous Kid 6/1 big price considering beat Ahzeemah over this distance. Ran well in Duke of Edinburgh but needed further and was hampered and carried. Just hope likes York as a lot don't.

Newmarket 2.35 - Air Vice Marshall 7/2. AOB knows how to win big 2yr old races in the UK

Ascot 2.45 - Arod 2/1 best horse here.

York 2.55 - I think last years winner Take Cover 6/1 marginally the best C&D winner

Newmarket 3.10 - I just think have to stick with form and go with Ayaar 7/1 and Chil The Kite 9/1. Both ran well in Royal Hunt Cup and think the former will prefer step down in trip. Rene Mathis 25/1 e/w worth a pop as runs half a stone better at the track looking back through records.

Ascot 3.20 - I can't stay away from maidens :) Rockley Point has solid form but again someone tells me Any Guest 10/1 is Margarsons best 2yr....

York 3.25 - You have to use the 888 Handicap over C&D as the form marker and therefore I agree with First Flight 12/1 (Segal pick) and also Voice of a Leader 14/1, who is lightly raced and ran a blinder last race. Worth a reverse Forecast

Newmarket 3.45 - Muhaarar 3/1 was never on my watch list at Ascot but boy was he impressive. the 3yr allowance will help and he ran a quicker time than Brazen Beau

Newmarket 4.20 - Ballydole cost me couple hundred quid on track at Ascot which was very annoying. Ought to win this but not betting on him at 1/2. A day earlier I was told Nemoralia was Noseda's best 2yr old and spunked a whole wad on that as well. At 11/2 might have an e/w but Noseda yard in dire form

Newmarket 4.55 - Majdool 3/1 potentially well handicapped if on bare form against Beaverbrook

Ascot 5.05 - Sure Space Age could well improve but at the weights surely Dartmouth 9/1 e/w has to be the bet. Gets an 8lb pull on this and Space Age def has the easiest trip round at Royal Ascot

Ascot 5.40 - Think Ahead 13/8 def ahead of mark

Bets 10/07/2015

Feels like an age since landed a double figure winner, so thankfully on the right side of MJ yesterday.

Tom Pricewise Segal from the Racingpost has gone nuts today:

2.40 Newmarket - Besharah 8/1
2.55 York - Kiyoshi 7/1
3.15 Newmarket - Amazing Maria 10/1
3.45 Newmarket - Encore D'or  12/1, Squats 14/1

Far too much racing today to take in with work. Damnit. Maybe should pull a sickie...Haggas could have a field day today.

2.10 Newmarket - Over 8f would have been Angel Vision, but over 7f have to go with Wordcraft 7/2. Both are solid course winners. Sprangled  not out of it but will go with WC.

2.40 Newmarket - Easton Angel 7/4 surely has the best form.

3.15 Newmarket - At the weights has to be Lucida 3/1. Has to improve but has the weight allowance and is one of best in division. Might be too fast for Integral

3.45 Newmarket - Could back so many of these but I'm backing Mukhmal 14/1 a solid C&D winner who might be hard to catch and Lacing 25/1 who comes back down the weights into a handicap with serious form behind Osaila on this course.

4.20 Newmarket - Von Blucher 2/1 solid form has more experince over field

4.55 Newmarket - Amazour 5/1 is solid, but then again so are so many of these. Georgian Bay 16/1 out of 6 others is the one I'll go with though

5.30 Newmarket - Mitraad 3/1 ahead of mark
--

1.55 Ascot - Race Day 12/1 was sent off fave on debut. Must be well thought so worth another try

3.05 Ascot - Queens Vase form has to win this off this mark. Antiquarium 7/2, but Steve Rogers won't give easily

3.35 Ascot - Forever Popular 3/1 good mark

4.45 Ascot - Rifle Range 9/4 good mark
--

1.45 York - All form points to Ajaya 8/15

2.25 York - Intercption might well be the one to beat but Lucky Kristal 10/1 e/w is my bet. Clearly has to boucne back to form but no reason why can't. Has won over C&D and that's important here. New Prov 13/2 is interesting.

6.30 Chepstow - Read somewhere Adham 3/1 is yards best 2yr old
