Bets 30/07/2016

Goodwood 2.00 - Nuno Tristsan 12/1 best form behind L Breeze, but Fahey horses not going great. The form is too strong to ignore however and draw good. Seeking Magic 16/1 C&D winner. Ignore last race, needs 6f and better ground all in favour today. Guess daft to ignore Barnet Fair 14/1 2nd last yerar' 6lbs lower!

Goodwood 2.35 - Beverbrook 25/1. 6 lengths behind Galieo Gold in Vintage on this track, 4 lenghts behind Hawkbill. Will finally get conditions on better ground, MJ, good draw, good chance? Knights Table 11/1 keeps winning. Maybe still going?

Newmarket 2.50 - Jumping Around 5/1

Goodwood 3.10 - Dancing Star 13/2 to follow in Magical Memory footsteps. Ridge Ranger 16/1 Solid form reckon still few lbs ahead of mark. Good draw. I can't decide on Toofi 12/1 (though bad draw) and Rivellino 25/1 and Dinkum Diamond 33/1. Don't have time to sort the deets but latter two nearly won this last year. Can't pick NAP, but Ridge and Dinkum are solid in my book for the value.

Thirsk 4.10 - Beardwood 5/1

Goodwood 4.55 - Mamillus 8/1, Repuation 7/1

Friday 29 July 2016

Bets 29/07/2016

2.00 Goodwood - Urgh. Up and down in trip making this hard to assess for most of them. However, Mount Logan 10/3 C&D winner back down in class is tentative pick. I'd be worried about many of them especially Ayrad another C&D winner

2.35 Goodwood - Buranito not sure is a mile horse. Cymric and Promising Run both have potentil but can't yet see it in performances. Thikriyaat looks top notch. Drawn on wrong side in Jersey and was flying home. Extra step up in distance will help. The biggest danger though, surely has to be Emotionless 5/1. Chipped bone and soft ground gone against in last two races, but if he bounces back to best is 10lb clear on ratings

3.10 Goodwood - 10lb ahead of OR; Franklin D 3/1. Red Avenger won this 2years ago off this mark so can't be discounted but does not have 10lbs in hand. Belgian Bill on the same mark as last year when won this; again does not have 10lbs in hand. Can't Change It is ahead of mark again does not have 10lb in hand. Azraff is very solid but not sure has 10lb in hand. Bloody hope not. Will have a big lay in running to give me some support as gone pretty big at 3/1 on Franklin D as I suspect many have. Am slightly nervous on inside rail being a bit slower than bit further in and that rain may have killed ground, but looks a Group horse in making. Don't think there's any harm in small e/w cover bet in Azraff 10/1 e/w

3.45 Goodwood - Starting with top rated and working down. Goldream a dual G1 winner and no penalty?!!?! Not sure how that works. But one trip here at Goodwood, tied in with 1st run in while and Cowell's horse not running to best will pass over. Might regret it, but I am. Cotai Glory a C&D winner. Ignore Newmarket never runs well there. Did well as 3yr old in this race last year. Has the best form on show behind Profitable, but Hill has a 6% SR at Goodwood and he has not has a good festival. Again another could regret as form is solid, but will pass over. Ajaya looks a 6f horse but at the weights with 3yr old allwance wins. But, don't think is trip. Muthmir 7/1 e/w is drawn next to the pace so great. He won this last year giving 4lbs away. Doesn't have that burden this year; huge chance to win this again. Kachy beaten on form and Dascombe not going well. A lot of talk on Goken. Yes great ride in Kingd Stand but was hammered in this my Muthmir last year. Marsha is big threat but no course experince and Prescotts horse this meeting have really peeved me off. Muthmir can turn table on her. Washington DC just a total unknown based on races over 6f. Won Windsor Castle over 5f. Am worries as is AOB, but not worried enough. Take Cover is a huge threat. Won this before, second to Muthmir last year, but I come back to fact is 4lb worse off than last year with Muthmir. Channon, bloody Channon and his quotes 'I think Divine is possibly a G1 horse'. I'm not listening, also Divine is def a 6f horse from what seen. Easton Angel is another huge threat but doesn't have the course expereince so too risky. O'Mearas horses are really stuggling. Learned that from Lathom yesterday. But still Move in Time 100/1! Really? Nearly beat Muthmir in this last year. Not backing it, but just saying...In the prix SG in May over 5f Finsbury Square beat some decent 108/110 rated horses. I make this under the radar but again no course experience, Muthmir has beaten previously so not backing. Jungle Cat big big danger down in class, but I think needs 6f. So Muthmir it is and small e/w on Take Cover 12/1

4.20 Goodwood - Rusumaat 15/2 ew on basis Hanagon abandoned Naffer who looks well in I thought.

4.55 Goodwood - Hard to get away from Always Smile 13/8

5.30 Goodwood - Indulged 11/2 ew

Bets 28/07/2016

2.00 Goodwood - Back Autocratic in the B365 Handicap at N/W a very good race only to watch Ode De Evening wonder all over the shot and beat him easily enough. On the basis it was a good race and ODE was all over the shop and yet was still eased down a 6lb rise really mighty not be enough to stop this one. The fact it's an MJ horse just adds more reason to back ODE 10/1 e/w; who looks Pattern class. Stargazer didn't look a world beater last time out and form not worked out that well. You're Hired as been well backed and has good form. but Perrett not doing great at the moment and YH doesnt have the 3lb claimer has last race. Red Rannagh could be a plot job as beat Atwaad in October and is running off 86 and definately needs further. The other Plot job looks to be Abareeq 16/1 e/w Montsarrat id tempting but not convinced is that well handicapped. Scarlet Dragon is 2lb well in here on OR and I'm convinced would have beaten Bathos here at Goodwood but had a lot of bad luck in running. Bathos was then however beat by ODE readily so ODE is still top of list. Next selection has to be High Shields 8/1 e/w. Solid C&D winner; routed that race and whilst Detorri still hasn't won a race this festival this horse has an entery in the Voltigeur so is well thought of. In fact no other horse in this race has a Group entry.

2.35 Goodwood - Blue Point 8/11. Won last 6f race on the bridle by 11 lengths. The horse that finished 2nd (Shamsaya) was 4th in Listed race to Nations Alexander who was very close to winning a G2. Whilst this field looks very very good Global Applause has just let the formline down for the rest of the market principles.

3.00 Goodwood - Wicklow Brave is so hit and miss but could run well epecially with Mullins is such good nick. Quest For More and The Big Orange battled this out last year. No reason why QFM will turn it around with TBO. Arguably TBO comes here in better form than last year and QFM les form, so The Big Orange 4/1 gets the vote. Sword Fighter 13/2 looks a huge danger. With a 17lb weight allowance a Listed and G2 under belt this improving AOB nag might be the one to be on

3.45 Goodwood - Using the Daisy Stake formline at Goodwood has to be Twitch 5/1, although Panama 5/2 does look pretty decent but have to forgive Goodwood flop. Hmm.

4.55 Goodwood - Hmm. I mean which MJ nag do you pick? Maybe none of them? Hurricane Rush 12/1 e/w was 2 lengths behind Bear Valley last time out. MJM didn't give Hurricane Rush best of rides, and HR didnt help MJM by wandering all over the shot. 5lb pull in weights and no way HR should be 5points bigger in price. Geneva Convenion 16/1 e/w against Teofonic wins at weights using Dewan as marker. Arc Royal; 14/1 e/w boasts Frankuss formline

5.30 Goodwood - Lathom 9/1 e/w very interesting here. Slipped to a very low mark and ran very well in Molecombe last year. Back to form latest and Alpha Delphini has franked it.

5.50 Epsom - Coral Festival 5/1

Wednesday 27 July 2016

Bets 27/07/2016

I have 1 hour to crack it today. Never enough :(

Rain could screw everything up as well....

2.00 Goodwood - Moscato 8/1 e/w. Very consistent, run well at Goodwood before, ground will suit, maybe easier than Ascot stakes and Northumberplate place.  Qewy franked from of Ascot Stakes yday. Prescott going well. Disappointed if not in top 5 (Betfair Sportsbook paying ew 5places). Backed the Chasel Man last time out but not convinced yet. No Heretic could still be well handicapped back on good ground but I could back loads in this. Sticking to one

2.35 Goodwood - Tough. Prizre Money ground too quick. Qatari Hunter not sure form is that strong so that knocks off a few. Ulysess imposible to know how good is unless you have some info. Total flop in Derby so I can't back it. Shogun could be a big AOB winner back on good ground but a few ifs. Not seeing any money for it at time of writing. The Bahrain Trophy is then next. So between Platitude and Harrison. Both nexck and neck and arguably the former on the quicker ground. Ivae backed Harrison 8/1 e/w every race because of how highly Channon rates it. Will keep going then I guess. It does keep improving and has won at Goodwood!

3.10 Goodwood - Tough again. Must go to one of the 3yr olds though? I;'m going to be brave and get Galileo Gold beat. The Gurkha should have beaten GG at Ascot but was a poor ride. Atwaad beat GG easily at Curragh and ground was too soft at Ascot. Atwaad 6/1 e/w is likely to be the value, but think will also cover with The Gurkha 5/2? Maybe, not sure yet

3.45 Goodwood - Urgh. Doesn't get easier, but I've followed Global Applause 7/2 all season and hopefully will show why today. Last Lion better on soft, Yalta has dissapointed me enough. Mcdonald has jumped to Nayyar. Is that a tip? Big Time Baby could be decent and hard to assess Sportsman. Sod it, staying with what I know

4.20 Goodwood - Bunch of unexposed horses in big race. Only 1 horse I know. Boquet Des Flores 5/2. Backed 5/2 last night hammered into nearly evens. Be clear though that this does not make it a banker. It was hammered last time, I jumped on bandwagon and it got merked!

4.55 Goodwood - I backed Rioca 11/ ew last night. Having had a look again just now not boding that well. On drift, spotted it's first start in 10months as well! I based it on fact Haggle did pretty well yesterday and Virens Army form looks strong. Don't have time to reassess.

5.25 Goodwood - Backed Afjaan 11/4 last night. Looks absolutely chucked in on that Red Bo form. There is obviously a chance could bounce after return though. If Detorri does not go forward though and holds up behind wall of horses be prepared to berate him. Big gamble on Czech it out but I think few lbs short. Should place though. I picked out Pastoral Player in this last year but too high in weights. I told the boys couple weeks ago I hope Jacks Revenge 16/1 ew is entered and Baker hits form and hopefully around 16/1 mark. Well is 16/1 but Baker not really hit huge form and this is 7f not 8f like think needs. But will be held up and come flying home so might be worth a bet in play at big price

7.35 Sandonw - War Story 9/2 ew/

Tuesday 26 July 2016

Bets 26/07/2016

Goodwood 2.00 - Erik The Red no Goodwood form and Ryan's horses have 2% SR at this course. Mutamakkin has to prove stays and held up on inner rail could cause traffic problems. I think Oasis Fantasy needs 1m4f. Think Snoano needs bit of give even if weighted to go close with Revolunist. Noble Gift will blaze a trail and may hold on for a place but 3lb higher than last year. Shakopee is stepping up in class and Spencer doesnt have a good record at Goodwood. I do like Best of Times as has solid course form, but hard to say is well handicapped. He was crusing in the Wolferton before finding nothing under pressure. Also SBS horses just havent fired this year compared to normal years. The Wolferton form though brings me to first bet....

Second Wave 8/1 e/w. Was flying home in the Wolferton and I think is better on quick ground. Now onto the 4 MJ Nags. Urgh. Watersmeet must have a chance, but I think needs further. Fire Fighting was 3rd in this last year and now 8lb lower so sure must be the bet??? Revoulunist is also from Wolferton formline and did well from the draw so again must be a bet as the form is solid? And Stars Over Seas romped last race. On old from is well treated from a decent draw.

I can't chose between Revolunist, Fire Fighting or Star Over Seas. Hmm

Goodwood 3.10 - Birchwood 15/2 e/w could have won the Vintage Stakes last year. Pretty sure backed him to do so but got badly hampered. Moore onboard, seems a big price?

Goodwood 3.45 - Notarised 8/1 e/w C&D winner on winnable mark

Goodwood 4.20 - Run out of time to look in detail. Thesme 11/2, Harricane Harry 11/1

Goodwood 4.55 - Harry Angel 13/8

Goodwood 5.30 - Haggle 8/1 e/w. Solid Maiden form

Yarmouth 1.50 - Mariyn Evs- Lots of support

Yarmouth 4.05 - Takatwul 2/1 - Looks well handicapped

Saturday 23 July 2016

3.20 Ascot - Taurean Star 15/2 ew. Red Box just won listed so from strong. Spencer onboard

3.55 Ascot - Licoln 22/1 ew. Same formline as above. Dropped down mark. Nearly won Victoria Cup over C&D on 7lb higher!

4.30 Ascot - 3lengths behind Golden Horn is best form here. Erupt 4/1

3.45 Newmarkt - Priceless 4/1

Bets 16/07/2016

3.00 Newbury - C&D winner Scottish 11/8
3.15 Newmarket - If Franklin D front runs 6/1 e/w is decent. Solid form goes well on track
3.35 Newmbury - Charming Thought 5/1 e/w solid horse if back to best
5.30 Newmarket - Lusory 13/8

Saturday 9 July 2016

Bets 09/09/2016

Ascot 2.45 - Desert Law 10/1, Robot Boy 10/1

Newmarket 2.50 - Mistime 6/1

York 3.00 - One More Word 8/1 solid C&D yardstick and down in grade. Claimer slight worry

Ascot 3.15 - Dutch Connection 6/1

Newmarket 3.25 - Hornsby 11/2. Course winner. Form behind Galieo Gold, won last race, trainer in good form. But as I always back the wrong Gdog horse will go Silent Attack 4/1

Newmarket 4.00 - War Decree 3/1 looks decent as does Cunco 6/1

York 4.15 - Tough and should not bet, but Revoulinist 14/1, Top Notch Tonto 25/1

Newmarket 4.35 - I've pretty much nailed all the big sprints this summer, but today is really really hard. It's 6/1 the field which says is all and this is far more competitive than last year. I'm eliminating any hold up horses that need cover. I'm not sure if am willing to back 5f specialists either. Still leaves me with 8 horses though. Eastern Impact is going to blaze a trail for the low draw and finished 3rd in this last year. I'm struggling to split Twinlight Son and Magical Memory here. I picked Twinlight Son at Ascot over Magical Memory largely due to ground so I have to reverse my view on those two and go Magical Memory 6/1.  Limato 6/1 as well as has conditions

Newmarket 5.10 - An old favourite of mine in Heavens Guest 9/1. Solid C&D winner who can win off this mark

Friday 8 July 2016

Bets 08/07/2016

2.40 Newmarket - I backed Column last time out so maybe I should again. Instead going Mediciman 12/1 whose mark based on last time raced here is interesting and IFWeCan 16/1 who ran well last race

3.45 Newmarket - Bletychely 5/2

4.15 Newmarket - Usherteet 8/11

5.20 Newmarket - Jacks Revenge 20/1

2.30 Ascot - Seven Heavens 7/4

3.35 Ascot - Plutocrtacy 4/1

4.10 Ascot -  Bess of Hardwicke 9/4

4.40 Ascot - Yeeoow 20/1

1.50 York - Naffer Evs

2.20 York - Rainbow Mist 4./1

4.30 York - Central Square 2/1

Thursday 7 July 2016

Bets 07/07/2016

Very hard day with 2 or 3 in each race who could land the spoils.

Newmarket 2.10 - Gosden and MJ have won last 6 renewals but neither have a runner today. Race Day shouldnt reverse with Prize Money. Doubt Gunnery good enough. Harrison, bloody Harrison. Have backed last 3 times because of Channons comments. No reason should turn tables with Platitude. Goldmember has it to find with Shabeeb. So am left with HOP, Prize Money, Platitude and Shabeeb. I really just want to plough into Prixe Money because the form ties into the Eclipse winner Hawkbill. Whilst Godolphin are having a good season, SBS really is not so part of me wants to take him. Alogmeter got hammered in the Derby so perhaps won't back it. Shabeeb looks very good, but take formlines of Danehill Dancer and the King George Handicap using Primitivo says Platitude is better although with improvement and the fact Shabeeb romped last race reckon Shabeeb slightly better. HousesofParliament beat Platitude in Dee Stakes. King George is the best form race I guess, so HousesofParliament 5/1 £25 and Shabeeb 5/1 £25 for a 4/1 payout and no doubt Platitude will win!?

Newmarket 2.40 - Another very hard one. Global Appluase not helped the Mehmas formline, but looks rock solid behind Caravaggio, although did get mullered by him. Ardad produced a 104 on second start and will have stacks of improvement in him. Unbeaten in 2 and Ardad 7/2 £25 look worth backing. Yalta 14/1 £12.50 e/w was disappointing for me at Ascot, but must have been the ground. Newmarket suits front runners and Yalta does have the ability to make all or go close. Medici Bancheiere won last race by 10 lenghts could be anything but can't assess the form. A lot of tips for broken stones but asking a lot for only second race?

Donny 2.50  - Waqaaz 5/6 £50

Newmarket 3.15 - Another tough one. The market looks right except for Big Orange who won this race last year; 11/1 seems pretty big but The Grey Gatsby 7/2 £25 is top rated by 3lbs and has a 3lb weight allowance on that rival Exosphere too.

Newmarket 3.45 - MJ is starting to popo up with supposed randoms. Riflescope 25/.1 £12.5 e/w could be another. Bags of experiance for a 3yr old, dropped nealry a stone since haydays on GF ground. Well guess what it/s good to firm today, could be a big outsider win. The favourite Taneen 6/1 has obvious chance but may come up against it with big rise. Taneen 6/1 £12.5 e/w

Newmarket 4.55 - Bouquet De Flores Evs £50

Newmarket 5.30 - Crazy Horse 9/2 £25
