If Themse reproduces his Nunthorpe effort over C&D from last year will totally ROMP this race. The other who is on a very low mark is Moviesta after close run to Washington DC. York 4.50 - Only one CD winner in the field; Zap. Ignore last race. Penultimate race was pretty close to Cardsharp so on the OR scale is half dozen lbs ahead of mark and has a decent claimer too. Tathmeen is potentially really well handicapped on debut but soft ground may have exaggerated win. Demons Rock on the other hand is defo ahead of mark. Total demolition job in last race hugely eased down and was still pretty keen too.

As ever no idea what carnage the weather will cause. RP says GS and risks of hingavy downpours...will they, won't they, no idea.....

1.50 Goodwood - No MJ horses to worry about. RESULT; just 18 to choose from then. Baydar has slipped to an interesting mark here but fully out of sorts. Khairaat bolted up at Chester and flopped next time but suggest hike was enough for effort that maybe flattered him and Brorocco has not franked the form on several attempts. I think the JS handicap is the best form here and the two that were staying on strongly at the finish were Garcia and Eddystone Rock. Garcia is definitely progressive and Garrity knowing couldnt win last time didn't cake Garcia too hard. With Moore booked this has to be a decent bet. Goodwood is such a merkage place and I'm in such dire form will go e/w 5 places. Eddystone not progressive and did look unluckly and whilst when got going didn't really make much of an impression I'd kick myself for underestimate the hammerage so small ew. I thought very hard about Oasis Fantasy as on a lower mark than when 2nd last year but doesn't look like fancies it much at the moment.

3.00 Goodwood - Basically betting against the weather. I heart Limato but not on ground with soft in in. I kind of hope it rains as am taking Limato on on this basis. Sprit of Valor was expected to win last time with all the weight allowance and at the weigths is best off today. Home of the Brave is unbeaten in 2 starts this season and actually beat Jungle Cat easier than on paper; Doyle was casually looking around and was in full control. 2nd in this race last year and with the low draw can control from the front. SoV has had a long season and whilst has ever chance favour Home of the Brave

Ascot 2.30 - In the QEII last year Ribchester didn't look the easiest of rides even though started to pull back Minding. Lightening Spear has 3lb extra to deal with so on that race not really that much between them, but I'm not convinced LS is G1 winner as shown in last 5 attempts. Mutakayyef destroyed a G2 field at the festival last year so has a solid chance on quick ground. Dutch connection beaten on formlines. Oh This is Us would have been decent outsider after luckless run last time but poor form at Ascot. Ennaad has cost me enough money and just didn't look good enough at Ascot last time. Cougar Mountain is a big eachway price as has place in this race before but fully exposed. Deauville is 16/1 which with Moore onbaord is frankly farcical. 2.35 Epsom - If Remarkable takes to Epsom then brings the best form into the race, but it's an if and also might find this hard of top weight. Sixitis Groove is a solid 7lenght course winner but back from break and takes big step back in trip. GK Chesterton looks solid and Appebly yard in form, but not won any races of any significance. Spring Offensive ran well enough in Irish Lincoln after break and was favourite for the Thisk Hunt Cup last time out but had a merklish draw. Ran well enough in this race on paper last year, but when you watch the race, hit several bad passages and was mega keen all the way around. Looks much more settled now in races and as long as gets the breaks (or makes it like before), Spring Offensive 9/1 2pts ew gets the vote

3.10 Epsom - Something is not right here. US Army Ranger 14/1 2pts ew was 2nd in the Derby last year behind a horse than won both the Irish and British Derby. I was fuming as has US Army Ranger 20/1 Antepost and came from last to first, hampered on the way right round the outside. Clearly loves Epsom

1.50 - Ballet Concerto won the consolation Lincoln well enough. Best form (I think) on show, but Next Stage looked really impressive last time when he brought best from to race. Tentatively Ballet Concerto 5/2 2pts. Loads of dangers in this fieled, nit got time to look through.

Goodwood 2.05 - Alf Guineas 4/1 2pts ew.

2.20 Newmarket - This is not easy and all the horses on ratings have solid chances. Surely ground is too quick for Profitable. At the weights, Marsha, COtai Golry and Just Glamourous are just pipped. Themse comes out well at the weights, but doesnt run well fresh and no Newmarket race so may not take to it. Royal BIrth shouldnt be good enough. Priceless is just held by couple of these on previous form. All those 110 rated horse of 9-3 on paper are besaten by Gracious John, Wastington DC and Dancing Star. Washington adn Gracious have been tried many times for a 4yr old, but Dancing Star 14/1 1pt e/w could well still be improving and spring a surprise. I worry does need 6f though, so only a small bet.

Lingfield 3.50 - Indus Valley 16/1 ew. Seriously well handicapped. Headgear switched. Carter loves a good old gamble and this horse has been held up and running shite for ages. The races has run well in has been well up with the pace. We'll know after 10 seconds whether to lay out or get ready for a potential boom.

1.30 - I have Charli Parcs 16/1 Antepost. Hendo reckons best 4yr old he has had and ground will suit. Masterblue Eyes would have beaten him last time out though even if CP didnt fall. MAsterblueeye is big price, but King not having a good week. Hobbs horses not in good nick, so I pass over Defi who hasn't beaten much. JOB won this race last year with a horse that looked impressive and then flopped and then bounced back. Looking at the Juvenile Hurdle on good ground at Fairyhouse he has another in Landofhopeandglory. Beat Bapume and Mega Fortune, although the latter is weighted slightly better now and Elliot is banging them in.

1.30 - Sure Melon will meet the hype, but last years Champion Bumper winner gets the C&D festival form tick. Slightly lacking on soft ground behind Moon Racer who is prominent in Champion Hurdle market. Twiston stable in shocking form though. High Bridge interesting outsider.

12.35 - Get Involved 66/1 to grab a place. Dickin string in good nick, won on soft, whilst 2lb out handicap, was 2nd on a chase debut here at Chelts.

1.10 - Couldn't bend between Shantou Flery 13/2 and Aso 15/2 for a while. but solid C&D horse on soft. Booking of Davy should mean Shantou edges it. Worth a small forecast too.

2.50 - Cantlow 6/4. Looks solid.

Meydan 3.05 - Shamaal Nibras doesn't look like will stay and on high mark, not sure why is fave. Desert God won the Indian St Leger by 7 lengths. How good is that race? Suspect is chucked in off a mark of a 100. Not sure, so will pass over. ZAin Eagle stays. Carbon Dating ran in the Derby, and walked the last race. Huge possibility that potential has now been unlocked but this is a big step up  in class and got put up 8lbs. I like Rio Tigre. Solid runs here in Group races, but best races over further. Good Trip looks a dirt horse. Tempus T is an ex Gosden horse but dont think is any good. Zambucca shouldn't be shorter price than Zamaan. If Emirates Flyer stays could be chucked in. Was running behind of Kingsman and looks a better turf horse. First run in over a year and 4/1 so big short to take. Golden Wood has a good chance here as runs best over this distance on good ground and Soumillion is up. I just can't work out from french from if is well handicapped. Zamaan 14/1 e/w gets the tentative vote with Desert God 6/1 e/w next. Decent carnival form and the race that takes the eye is better graded handicap on 4th Feb half lenght behind Think Ahead. Was flying home off a strong pace which will get today, off 2lb lower. The step up in in favour looking at older French form.


Meydan 3.40 - Only focussing on the CD winners. Saltarin Dubai is going to blaze a trail here. Interesting G1 Argentian Runner could well be the answer, but no form at Dubai so will pass. The pace is an important factor today though. Trinity Force on paper will get very close to making up the 7 lenghts on Storm Belt at the weights and is good ew value at 20/1 but think are others with better chance. Storm Belt has a favourites chance but was allowed to dictate the pace and won't today. Jeeran very tempting as both Storm Belt and he were 14 lenghts behind Special Fighter so at the weights Jeeran is far better value. I really like Hunting Grounds chances as well. Meydan 4.15 - Ertijaal 6/4 should be far too good

Meydan 4.50 - How Polar River lost the Derby last year will never know. Worries me how poor last run was. Fitzgerald looks a danger but last race didn't look great. I'm going to punt on one of my Achilles heels; Emotionless 7/2. A dirt bred horse a ripped new holes in 110 rated horses. I backed in last race very confident. The market also spoke that day but didnt delivery. Not worried about draw and Appelby's horses were flying in Auz last year. Fingers crossed we'll see a machine today

Meydan 5.25 - Ertijaal 11/4 is one of those frustrating nearly horses. But this is a big step down in class ans should take all the beating. Silent Attack worries me.

Meydan 6.00 - American Hope 3/1 has a big chance. This is a trappy race so outsider for me is Shaishee 33/1 e./w. Solid mark based on previous CR run in a G2.
