Bets 22/08/2020

1.50 York - Pogo 6/1ew

Imagine Lord Glitters and Zabeel Prince have little improvement left at 7 but are the top two rated with strong course form. So in looking for something to improve passed them I land on Pogo. Same rating as Lord Glitters but looks to be still improving. Won a solid C2 handicap at the festival last year and latest pitched into a G1 following a Listed romp. A step back to G3 must be well withing reach with Moore booked

 2.05 Sandown - New Chapter 4/1

Won very easily when short of room last time out. Looks ahead of mark on handicap debut.

2.25 York - Favourite Moon 10/3

I just can't get away from these Haggas runners. The form of that Haydock race is rock solid.

2.40 Sandown - Engimatic 7/1ew

Few insterestng formlines here, but Engimatic came from last to first last time out with something to spare and has won a C2 Handicap of new mark before. James DOyle has been booked to make sure :)

3.00 York - Threat 17/2ew. One Master/Threat Rfc 25/1

Given how much am all over Haggas I need to find one to beat. Probably the worst idea to get one of the best 7f speacialists beat, but if Threat bounces back to form has a serious chance of doing it. Gets the 3year old allowance,  and won the Grimrack last year, a G2 winner and also won over 7f.

3.15 Sandown - Sea Trout Reach 11/1ew

Another Haggas horse who looks well handicapped over a mile.

3.40 York - Ranch Hand 20/1ew

Wouldn't get carried away with this one, but given last effort over C&D could be really well handicapped. Ive backed this many times thinking it is and not been right, but maybe today is the day.

4.40 York -  SInjari 4/1, Maydanny/Sinjarri Rfc 20/1

Was trying to hard to find something to beat Maydanny, but even an 11lb rise might not stop this tank. Assume if MJ thought had blown mark would have put him in a pattern race. Given Dark JEdi franked the form of Sinjarri may as well keep to the Haggas theme. Bit lame this bet but hey ho

5.10 York - Samper Seven 6/1, Illusionist 25/1ew

Samper Svern has best jockey and won well over C&D. At a bigger price Illsionist was a very good 2 yr old and ran well in couple decent handicaps. Edged down the weights and could pop up at t biggie

Bets 21/08/2020

Well if the PnL was running would be a laughing after landed a 420/1 treble yesterday. Will prob be a whitewash today then :)

BTW Ranch Hand for the Ebor 20/1 is my current thinking....

York 1.45 - Dark Jedi 7/1ew, Entangling 12/1ew rfc 75/1

Zabeel was a crossbar horse at Goodwood but step up in trip now and not sure. Alfaatik is well handicapped for sure but been off for a while and Gosden says will need the run. Sure that's his way of saying will win. Dark Jedi ran a blinder in the Johns Smith and the step up is sure to suit. A 4 year old improver with good form in the book. I'm trying very hard to avoid 2 picks in a race but Entangling looks really well handicapped here. The form with SKy Defender is really strong and its last run in a list race with horses all 100+ shows on paper it is.

York 2.45 - Yazaman 9/2ew

Tough race

York 4.15 - First Kingdom 8/1ew

Chamade landed me a solid 22/1 at Goodwood and whilst could go in again I think First Kingdom looks better handicapped. Was only 1 length behind Alpinstna in last race who finished a honourable second behind Love yesterday.

York 4.50 - Cold Front 8/1ew

Looks well handicapped. Raaed bolted up next time out, Man of PRomise storng form with Mums TIpple and Meraas is 100+, etc

Bets 20/08/2020

York 1.45 - Hala Hala Hala 10/1ew

I don;'t like the Queen Mary form and think the Santosha formline is the one to go with. On My Way looks a potentially big price as expect a big improvement on only 3rd run. HHH gave first run to Santashop last time out so maybe with some BUick Magic can turn the tables? Thought about Serathe but is distnace right?

York 2.15 - Happy Romance 5/1ew

Shouldnt be betting in this, but looked decent last time out.

York 2.45 - Mutamassik 16/1ew, Shelir 25/1ew

All my cliff horses are in this race, so just backing them blindly even though I've backed Sir Busker antepost and everyone saying Top Rank is group horse in a handicap. They both ran really well at Ascot and so are well handicapped just need the right conditions, which I don't know but here's hoping it's today

York 3.45 - Gold Wand 9/2 ew

3rd time in a row am backing this. 3rd time lucky?

York 4.20 - Ataser 12/1 ew

Mark of Man was a decent winner for me at Goodwood and wouldnt be surprised if won again. I was really keen on Ataser last time and was backed from 7s into 5/2 before beaten by LIne of Depature. I want to give this one more shot.

York 4.50 - Never in Paris 25/1ew

Bit right field here. Ran a blinder on debut and did well enough in the super sprint considering experience. Looks a bit lazy and needs kicking along to get into top gear. Travels as if an extra furlong will help and perhaps this will give more time to find rythmn and go on to get head in front again.

Bets 19/08/2020

PnL is no longer. I just don't have time. Maybe when all 3 kids are in school :/

Who knows what the weather is going to do today. I'm plumping for goodish ground until around 3/4pm when the rain starts.

York 1.45 - A Momentofmadness 20/1ew (NR), Arecibo 15/2ew

Perhaps A Momentofmadness is being aimed at the Portland but I'm convinced is now well enough handicapped to win this today. It's a more valuable race and I so I just hope the ground is quick enough after all the rain merkage. Buick will probably try to make all which is a tough ask but has a chance. The other I like is Arecibo. Very similar formlines to A Momentofmadness and if Danny keeps closer to the pace this time has a huge chance.

York 2.15 - Cloudbridge 6/4

York 2.45 - Mogul 2/1

Mogul was unlucky not to finish closer to Pyledriver in the King Edward and with a 3lb pull I can't see Pyledriver keeping the placings. He looked hardwork at Goodwood but actually when Ryan really hit the button he flew home comfortably so don;t think anything should turn the tables from that race. I have Darain 33/1 for the Leger and this is a classic Gosden move chucking a C5 winner into a G2. Bit of coin toss?

York 3.45 - Make My Day 5/1 ew, Blakeney Point 22/1ew, 100/1 rfc

Make My Day hasn't run the distance but nothing abiout last two races suggests it won't. The last race was a real grind over much shorter after the Al M was 4 lenghts clear a few furlongs out.

Blakeney Point was 10th in this race last year and looked a huge threat before hanging. Was only 5lenghts behind the winner and is 5lbs lower now. Comes here is decent form after winning a hurdles race by 11lenghts.

York 4.20 - Dancing Inthestreet 5/2

Keep Busy is clearly well handicapped after winning at Hamilton. However Dancinginthestreet is surely better handicapped if you watch the Ascot race back. Was last off bridle and switched multiple times before flying home. The other Haggas nag looks a danger but I'm assuming Marquand has picked this so will stay on here. Sampers Seven looks a decent ew price here but a 10lb rise in a higher grade needs to prove it, so will stick with the fave

York 4.50 - Cairn Island 5/1ew

Cairn Island looks well handicapped on handicap debut. Pure Dreamer is a threat.

Sunday 9 August 2020

Bets 10/08/2020

 5.30 Chester - Asdaa 10/1 £15ew

Will end up being my cliff horse but still convinced form from few races ago is decent. Draw was bad at Gooodwood and was hampered so was a non trier. Chester draw 1 perfect for making all which is the style best suited to Asdaa.

Bets 09/09/2020

£2.50 rfc as well. Total £5

Bets 08/08/2020 - ~The P&L Tracker is back

I've spent a whack of time trying to get back to the form that got be banned. I haven't fully got there but I have assessed which races I excel in. I had a decent Goodwood so the selective punting worked well enough for me...

1.15 Ascot - Ataser 6/1 £10 ew

I've never heard of T J Kent, but the nag ran pretty well in both races and looks an improver on a decent starting mark.

1.50 Ascot - Highland Dress 11/2 £10 ew

Chil Chil could be anything and given Balding form may well bolt up. However Highland Dress arguably has the best Ascot handicap on show for the season. At Newmarket had to burn early speed and lost shoe last race so can be forgiven. Woven is potentially a big ew too.

2.05 Haydock - Final Song 7/1 £10 ew

Comvinced 7f decent ground it the optimum trip. Decent enough run in the guineas over a trip too far and we know how good Love is. Will give excuses for soft ground and a tough race for a 3yr old at Haydock last time out, but did look a tad unlucky. Back down in grade must have an ew shout.

2,25 Ascot - Shelir £20 10/3

Have been tracking this for a while. Was hoping for a ew price. It's pretty short but fook it. Ran well in the Buckingham from bad draw and again last time out from a poor draw and was slightly hampered.

3.00 Ascot - Red Force One £10 13/2 ew

Get 2m over hurdles so flat wont be an issue. Is probably a 135 horse over hurdles so running of 87 on the flat is decent. Gets another 3lb claim so solid ew

3.35 Ascot - Look Closely £10 9/2 ew

I toyed with Jermiah a lot but in the end went for the 4 year old improver who bagged me a decent 11/1 last time out. C&D winner eased down last time when carrying 9/12

3.50 Haydock - Arablet 13/2 £10 ew

Breathe of Air looked decent when beat Blue Mist but can't explain next two flops. Arablet is down is grade after a decent run from bad draw and fluffed start at Ascot. Reckon the handicapper has seen something as not dropped it many pounds.

£2.50 ew seven fold Total £5

50p five folds and six folds Total £14

Ataser, Red Force One, Arablet £2.50 ew trxie Total £20
