1.30 - Tafreej 20/1ew. Can't make a strong case for any of these. Hopefully Crowley got some confidence back after winning lto. Tafreej can make a suggestion has been unlucky in running last two turf runs. Didn't take to dirt and form before that was decent in the context of running from 85 today. Draw not great but is a hold up horse so can get a wide position to come from the back cleanly or will require a lot of luck in running.
2.40 - Symbol of Honour will put into an acca with Arabian Light in the 3.50. Top rated. Can't find anything on paper that might improve passed it. Form is rock solid.
3.50 - Silent Defence 50/1ew. Has been running really well in defeat. Might have been 9 lenghts of first conquest but it doesn't tell the story at all. Couldn't get out of traffic. Last off the bridle. Made headway and then hampered and pretty much pulled up. Ran well enough over 6f. Back to 9f it's s decent ew.
Sean 22/1ew been following closely and if money for it will have a dabble.
4.25 - Thunder of Niagara 8/1ew looks back to near his best. Tawalla is a decent marker for handicap at the moment and actually ties in with Silent Defence form above. Will need to be kept close the pace.
Silkie Wilkie 28/1ew. Was really keen on this couple races back. If this shortens across the board will have a dabble. Is deffo well handicapped but ran two horrific races out here so had to play it.
5.00 - First Constitution 22/1ew will try to make all here. Was running in G1 over C&D couple years back. Blinkers back on, and ran a much improved race lto. If can step up again from that will have a decent chance.
Book Review 28/1ew always wins one a season. Not sure if will back it yet. Again will watch for some cash confidence. WIll try to make all with FC. Been running poorly of late and no sign of perking up, but last year wasn't either and pooped in a 20/1 win
5.35 - Assail 16/1ew will be one to watch. Looks progressive. If fit can win this.
Intricacy 40/1ew shouldn't be 40/1ew. If gets a decent pace and clear run can place at least.
Silent defense - was that just about the worst ride you can give at meydan? Or am I biased as I had a punt on it, lol....
ReplyDeleteNot sure why pulled him up like that. Lost ground, lost focus, lost rhythm, ended up in an even worse position with no cover, etc. I would have been pissed off, but with 20/1, 22/1, 8/1, 28/1 and 40/1 places all good. If only put in an ew acca today :/ Really thought Book Review was going to hold on for a really long time. Won't be touching Silkie Wilkie again
