Of the faves 3 won and 3 came 2nd. The rest were broadly naff. Wrote some notes. Be more selective today.
1.00 Wolves - Weloof 3/1. Was much bigger value than the 3lb rise was given. Bulter's string still going strong
2.40 Goodwood - Stone Of Destiny 7/2. Annoyed as when looked yesterday was 6/1. 5lb lower than last year which would have wont the race and in good form based on last run.
2.50 Wolves - Strategic Fotune 2/1. If runs like last race nothing beats it. Bulter again.
3.15 Goodwood - Crystal Scarlet 7/1 To Place (3 places). Could also go 22/1 ew (2 places) w/o Bartz and Save a Forest. I'm interested to see how this goes purely from a stats perspective. Ex Stoute Frankel nag who won very easily last time out. Miles behind on ratings but given Ferguson current form and record at the track keen to see what happens....will come last right? :)
4.00 Wolves - Captain Kane 6/4. Should be following up here
4.25 Goodwood - Barley 11/2. For the same stats reason can assume Wineglass Bay is going to win this but I can see only one proven stayed over the distance and this one absolutely romped last race out and think on workable opening mark
5.00 Goodwood - Diamond Cutter 7/2. Ran to a higher mark on debut despite being green. I think this distance could be the one after not making it over 2m on softer ground. Was still bang in contention 2 furlongs out. Spencer booked. Let's see.
6.00 Punchestown - Kilcruit 6/1. 4 horses I backed at Chelts have won at this festival so figure why not this. Ran well enough behind Jonbon last time after bad start.
8.30 Newcastle - Blackcurrent 13/2. Won several C&D where made all from this type of draw. Looks to be holding form so can go close
