Head Space should be renamed ‘Head Case’. Still can’t believe I lost that race yesterday. I should probably check myself as well. I put a £1 accumulator on yesterday. WTF? Envitably it came in and paid out £4.50. A see a new type of horse drug is going around. Frog Juice, aka “Myo-Inositol TrisPyroPhosphate which allows the haemoglobin in a horse’s blood to release significantly more oxygen than normal into the body, thus enhancing performance”. Silly. Pontefract 4.00 – Law of the Range is looking for a repeat win, but has no form on soft, so can sack off. Winter’s Night has been backed heavily since last night and can see why looking at the form lines. Making Eyes has been backed a lot this morning as well but I can’t work out why. Instead I’m focusing on Dragonera 13/2. I think the drop in trip on this ground will be perfect. 

4.00pm update...Weather has scuppered another meeting, so off to Southwell…

Southwell 6.05 – Bookies make this a 2 horse race. Crystal Cove who has a sire with a great record here and La Sylphe whose trainer and sire have a great record here. I’d rather go with a horse, out of sorts, but who has had one decent run here; Stripped Bear 7/1.

Southwell 7.05 – Daddy Warbucks 11/4 ran a blinder here over 7f and against so many who have never tried this surface must have a good chance. If Four Richer wins then the handicapper wins. Smart Affair 16/1 has no chance on OR but his race time here suggests he might.

Southwell 8.05 – Basantee 15/2 ran here once and won by 8lengths and 16lb lower than last win. If Safe House takes to the ground he’ll win else Sweetnessandlight 3/1 has to go close based on wins here over 7f.
