Bets 24/06/2023 - Royal Ascot Day 5

Really thought Matrika 10/1ew was going to win yesterday but up popped Frankie.

Shaquille reared and so screwed any chance, or so I thought. Woe just wow. Dacking boooom!

Rest of day was average but Unless 28/1ew and Continuous 17/2ew placed

*Bold is what I've backed. Rest is just chat. All of Detorris horse's going to be over bet which means a lot of value has gone in some of them.

Off to Ascot today so not really spent as much time as I would have liked.

Ascot 2.30 - The first short price fave I'm backing this festival. Pearls and Rubies 5/2. Ran the best debut of anything in this field. I have a naggin worry that 7f is not the right trip, but I think her class may just get her through.

Just seen that fillys have only won 1 in 27 of this race. HMMMM....

Count Palatine 25/1ew might be worth a small ew given the form and eye-catching run lto

Ascot 3.05 - Antartic 6/1ew is the best horse in the race. The form is decent

Ascot 3.40 - I really want to back an Applebly runner because I think Al Suhail has a decent chance. However I can't bring myself to do it.

Artorious 9/2 was a very decent 3rd in this last year when behind two Appleby horses. A year older running off the same weight and looks a better horse on paper. Going to go very close to winning again.

The Astrologist 66/1ew worth a small poke given it's run in the Al Quoz. I've backed on the exchanges in the 60's and will probably put a lay in running as may not make it to the line

Ascot 4.20 - This is uber tricky. Can make a case for so many of them. Pyledrive is the best in this field but looks like this is a warm up for the King George in July. Not sure Hukum will run on ground this fast. Deauville Legend ran a blinder in Melbourne, but feels risky back him first race back and not convinced can improve that much more?

Changingoftheguard 10/1ew is going to improve a stone (I hope) . Grand Alliance could well be thorn at a huge 33/1

Free Wind 2/1 is going into an acca.

Ascot 5.00 - There are so many potential plots in here.

Saint Lawerence 25/1ew - If bounces back to form is well handicapped. Ran well in the commonwealth trial here and the kings stnd last year which was surely to shorter trip. Will it boune back don't know but been some money for it.

Albasheer 60/1ew - Ran two very good races over 6/7f in 20' & '21. Ran well enough inbetween 107 & 113 horses lto. Straight course specialist Spencer booked. Watson having a cracking week could run at a big price.

Kape Moss - 40/1ew - Think is nearly a 100+ rated horse and with a decent 3lb claim will have another length in hand

Orazio 7/1 - Cover bet only as shed loads of money for it

Ascot 5.35 - Knockbrex let me down lto, but think better at 10. Canute will go close. Lion of War let me down 4 times and fricking goes and wins nto at 15/2! fuming.

I really want to back Appelby again! Think Local Dyansty is very interesting, but can't do it given form. Will do an Applebly acca later

Cuban Dawn 14/1ew one of a few who are unexposed and could hugely improve for step up

Lose Your Wad 50/1ew - I'm sure by this point in the day I would have lost my wad so fitting to confirm it with this one. Backed it lto as thought was well handicapped. Was bumped so not given a chance to prove it

Ascot 6.10 - Irish 123
