Bets 05/07/2014

I went from boom to bullsh*t in two days. Cleared up two days ago and got whitewashed yesterday. No explanation either. Very annoying.

Tom Pricewise Segal has gone for:

2.40 Sandown - Lyn Valley
2.55 Haydock - Seal of Approval
3.30 Haydock - Quiz Mistress, Dashing Star
3.50 Sandown - Kingston Hill

I'm away this weekend so no full analysis but light touch. Couple strong bets though.

Sandown still good to firm….

1.30 Sandown – Hugo Palmer says Extremity 6/1 is a group horse and went someway to showing that on last turf race.

2.05 Sandown – Hmm. Steps is going to get held up and hit traffic problems again (maybe). Shamson 10/1 is going to make all against the rail and Kingsgative Native 15/2 will come wide and from the back to try and close him! Ha. Let’s see…another tough ace

2.40 Sandown – I back Velox 12/1 Antepost. That Abseil form is good. Russian Realm disappointed at Ascot an maybe wants softer ground. I bloody love Prince of Johanne 16/1, Brazos 12/1 and Gabrial Kaka 8/1. Too hard to call, but clearly lots of people think Velox has good shout as has halved in price

3.15 Sandown – Belle D’Or is going from a maiden to Listed? Queen Catrine 15/8 on paper must be the one to beat but Radiator also looks decent. Might not bet in this one.

3.50 – Night of Thunder 5/1

Haydock has turned soft….

1.45 Haydock – Dreams of Reality 5/1 was pretty badly hampered last time out and then was not given a hard time but still finished well. There’s a chance that this race will come to soon with a 7lb claim worth chancing.

2.20 Haydock – Chance on Captain Ramius 6/1 who has produced best effort on soft straight tracks. If Morache Music 13/2 gets a better passage than last time over C&D he could win this as was travelling with supreme ease before the gates closed on him

2.55 Haydock – This has Seal of Approval 7/2 written all over it. G1 winner in soft. Fantastic return in Yorkshire Cup. Fanshawe in great nick. Come on SOA!!!!

3.30 Haydock – This is tricky. 4 year olds have dominated this race and the 3 I shortlisted without realising that are all 4 year olds. I’ve already backed Havana Cooler 9/2 each way due to very good first run back at Ascot. That form behind Arab Spring will bring up winners for rest of year. I also have a sneaky feeling Sennockian Star 20/1 ran in a very good Ascot race too and that looks ready to step up in distance. Magic Hurricane 11/2 is of obvious interest as is a decent C&D winner but hoping the Ascot formlines are better indicators.

5.15 Haydock – Reckon Roseburg 6/4 has been let in lightly and conditions will suit
